The last time I took it to the dealership it was to change worn brake pads and scored rotors. I also asked them to check the e brake. They said my e brake was fine and replaced the rotors and pads. That was 10 months and just under 20,000km ago. Now my pads need to be changed again and the rotors are scored again and they provided absolutely no warranty on any of the work they do (except Ford lifetime warranty on pads). Total estimate about $370-$380 including free pads. I took the car to TireCo for a second opinion and they confirmed the e brake was sticking which was causing the rotors to score and premature wear on the pads. And instead of mindlessly putting on new pads and rotors which would just get warn out again in a few months they told me to get the e brake fixed then change the pads/rotors. They didn't even charge me anything for looking at it! I will only take my car to TireCo now!

When I booked an appointment to get my air conditioning fixed I asked for a estimate and they said they would let me know. Dropped it off and asked again, they said same thing. That afternoon when the car was suppose to be fixed I called at 4:30 to ask and they weren't finished and asked for the estimate and wouldn't tell me until Monday. Monday afternoon we get a call and were told it's fixed. Under the consumer protection law (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_02c30_e.htm#BK67) A shop may not fix your car until the owner of the car agrees to the estimate. They never told me! I came in and explained I was upset and the service was horrible I even said I wasn't looking for free ( also have a audio recording of the whole conversation) and told him I have no problem paying for half as this is his mistake and I asked numerous times. He then told me he would take the van if I wanted to and unhook it all but I have to pay for him to unhook it. After much polite arguing , we didn't get harsh he finally after 30 minutes said he would charge a little over half. Which we were fine about. I'm posting this as this shop needs to understand the consumer protection law, I could of taken him to court and not paid anything. But I didn't. Customers need to know their rights and not get bullied by shop owners. Own up to your mistake and meet the client half way . It doesn't need to be a struggle. What if I couldn't afford it at all? Yes they have had issues come up from…read moretime to time with delays on repairs but typically those have not been there fault, they've been things like parts not arriving when they were expected, etc. I've never had them complete repairs when I've asked for an estimate first and they've always been accurate when given. The folks there are always polite and easy to deal with. My only real gripe is the fact that they aren't open on Saturdays and due to my scheduling it's sometimes difficult to get my vehicle in when I need to but they do have a key drop box where you can leave your car and put your key in an envelope with instructions and they have always been decent when I've done that. I have no major issues with these people and they do honor their repair warranties.

I inquired about getting my car detailed during the same service call, and after discussing the detailing, decided to not do any of the detailing due to their extremely high prices. The young woman who looked at my car agreed that it was in good shape, wasn't very dirty and really didn't need the full package. When I picked up my car, I was pleased with the body work on the bumper (they outsource this work to an independent body-work person) and happily paid for the service ($400). HOWEVER, I was shocked when they charged me an additional $300 for "detailing", which amounted to an exterior wax and buff. When I expressed my concern to the owner, he simply shrugged and said that was the service his girl "circled" on the brochure after speaking with me. DO NOT use this company without a written service order where you have signed off on the work. I've since heard from others who had similar experiences with this company.

It took two days to get the part just for it to be the wrong one. When I called the local dealership to get the part, I informed Mike but he told me it was the wrong one, refused to give me the part number and said they "go by the picture now". Was also told my battery (which was perfectly fine before I brought it in) needed to be replaced. I ended up having to purchase and install the light and battery myself just to get my certification on time which almost made me lose the sale of my vehicle. Never going back.

DM is simply terrible and I would not recommend them at all. I am not the only one who feels this way after speaking with other garages nearby. Gary's Automotive and Downtown Auto are MUCH more honest and reliable and bailed me out of a bad situation.... although DM is still holding on to $1500 of my money calling it a 'restocking' fee.... they cannot get away with it Stay Away!!! Lots of better options out there for less $.

I took our car into DM in April 24, 2018. The odometer reading was 100,409…read morekm. They charged me for 5 liters of 5W30. They were supposed to do a Drive Clean Test. When I got home and looked at the invoice they hadn't done the drive clean. I called them up and they didn't even apologize but instead seemed annoyed that I called them. I just got the test done elsewhere. Today, August 28, 2018 at odometer reading 105,259 I took our car into another garage to have the oil changed. The dip stick was dry! When the drained the oil only a few drops came out.The car is not leaking or burning oil. Obviously, DM failed to put anywhere near the correct amount of oil in back in April. Not only are the DM people (Dave Vollmer & Vince Legault & staff) rude and unprofessional, they are incompetent.
