We have used them for a few things over the last five years and we are grateful to have an electrician we can trust and rely on.

My Tech arrived on time and described what was giving to be done. He even needed to pull new wiring from the units to the thermostats and thankfully he had attractive base plates to mount the Ecobees on the wall, as the hole left from removal was too large. He then worked with me on my app. I am planning to use Master Touch for some electrical work and I will hire them for spring and fall HVAC servicing. I highly recommend this independently owned professional company.

This recommendation is underpinned by responsiveness, excellent customer service, strong technical ability - and most importantly - a personable, trustworthy, and passionate owner-operator. With the turn of the seasons, our aging furnace wouldn't blow warm air. After researching local HVAC companies via online reviews, we connected with Master Home Touch Service in the Freehold/Manalapan area. The owner, Hovhannes Mirimanyan ("Hov"), was free that day for a service call ($100, but waived for larger projects). We mutually agreed that it was time to replace the 30 year-old furnace. Hov carefully walked us through the issues with our current furnace and air conditioning systems. He then outlined in a "no pressure" presentation several solutions, providing a cost-benefit analysis of each system (G/E, Rheem, Bosch). He showed us photo portfolios of past similar projects. A few days later, a three-person installation crew arrived at our home at 7 AM to perform the removal of the prior HVAC, and install the new system. The installation was completed by lunchtime, with our home left in pristine condition. The next morning, Hov returned to walk us through the details of the installation and how to perform basic maintenance items on the furnace. The Rheem system works great, is quiet - and connected to a smart Honeywell thermostat. The price paid was fair relative to the quality of services rendered. In summary, I highly recommend Master Touch Home Service for residential HVAC projects. They also provide commercial service and selecting plumbing services (e.g., hot water heater replacements).

The actual electricians at Echelon do great work, but dealing with the owner, Andrew, is an…read moreexhausting ordeal. After being a repeat customer who tipped well and left 5-star reviews, I was shocked by the level of friction I encountered recently. When I tried to opt out of their marketing texts, the staff was uncooperative and eventually hung up on me. When I called to schedule a new service, owner Andrew spent 22 minutes "interrogating" me about past interactions and social media messages rather than simply booking the job. He refused to take accountability for his team's communication lapses and instead pushed a defensive narrative. If you want electrical work done without a side of personal drama and interrogation, look elsewhere.

** (1/5) -- Quoted $40,000 for a $100 fix. Read this before you book.**…read more I've used this company before and had good experiences with one tech (Andrew -- honest, professional, no complaints). Everyone since has been a different story, and my most recent experience was bad enough that I'm warning others. My AC breaker started tripping during a heatwave while I was away for work. The tech who came out -- the same one who'd previously tried to upsell me a generator during an unrelated EV charger install instead of doing the job I paid for -- spent the visit mocking me to my wife on speakerphone ("your husband kept letting the snowballs grow and now you have an avalanche," "this is what you get when you don't listen"), then tried to sell her a battery generator instead of fixing the actual problem. Their diagnosis: I needed a brand new $18,000 HVAC unit, a $20,000 electrical panel upgrade requiring them to break through my walls, and I owed another $1,000 because my water heater was supposedly hooked up illegally. Total: over $40,000. Uncomfortable with the pressure and the assessment, I sent them away and called a family friend who owns an HVAC company instead. He installed a new unit at cost -- still several thousand dollars -- but when the breaker kept tripping afterward, his electrician found the real issue: a faulty breaker made worse by a loose wire on another breaker this same company had installed months earlier. Fix cost: $100. Nobody from the original company had even tested the amp output -- the first step in diagnosing this kind of problem. I was quoted $40,000+ for a $100 fix, while a tech mocked me and pushed generators on my wife instead of helping her. This company has gone corporate -- more focused on iPads and upsell scripts than honest service. I'd also take their overall star rating with a grain of salt -- I'd encourage anyone reading this to check the most recent reviews specifically, not just the average. If you're considering them, get a second opinion first. I won't be using them again, and I'd encourage you to think twice too.
