    Oni Samurai mask
    Sergio M.

I am extremely surprised that this is the first review, due to the quality and welcoming environment of this particular shop. They are nice, accommodating without putting their own morals as artists on the line. I impulsively walked in because I already have several tattoos and they've all been thought out in advance, it's really a matter of the feeling of "now is the right time". I've wanted an Oni mask on my hand for a couple of years now, matter of money, time and priorities. With that being said, the moment I walked in and realized that they specialize in Raijin and Japanese tattoos, I was smitten. My tattoo artist, Jarret, literally free handed the mask with markers, no stencil, just straight up free hand on my hand which I thought was hilarious. He knew what I wanted and I knew that what I wanted was; the main concept, the right size and the right person. I've never had to explain what I wanted in such little time, the dude knew. There are cheaper tattoo shops in town, but with tattoos you really get what you pay for, it's on you forever and if you're not willing to shell out the cash to get a solid tattoo, just don't get one at all. Do it for you, even if it "seems" expensive, it is not. The work they do, everything about that shop is worth every penny. They have their resident artists but they also bring in guest artists in rotation which is awesome. The owner is lovely, just hands down classy. And to top it all off this is by far the most gentle tattoo I've ever gotten, it barely hurt. Shoot, two days later my hand is swollen which is normal but no pain at all. Very happy with this shop and this has become my only go to at this point, I don't mind shelling out the cash for impeccable work. Thank you everyone at Raijin, you guys got not just my wife and i as returning customers but I'm bringing other people along to experience what a shop should be like.

During that time I've never actually written a review before, but my recent sessions with Tim Bradley (aka Mean Ole Tim) at the Wallingford location deserve one. Tim has been an absolute standout. He's not just a skilled tattooer -- he's an artist and professional in the truest sense. His ability to translate an idea into something that feels both deeply personal and beautifully cohesive is unreal. He recently completed a full torso panel of my German shepherd, Stryder, in an Irezumi-inspired style, as well as two custom hand pieces -- and every step of the process was collaborative, thoughtful, and executed with precision. What I appreciate most is Tim's mix of humility, humor, and quiet confidence. He listens, gives honest feedback, and works with a level of care that shows in every line and aspect of the piece. The end result isn't just cool ink -- it's art that carries weight, intention, and soul. After nearly a decade with STTN, I can say this has been one of my best experiences yet. If you're looking for someone who genuinely gives a damn about both the craft and the client, Tim's your guy.

It was so amazing and I was so impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very nice way, my needs were heard and respected, and, oh my, what a selection of different jewelry they have to pick from, very impressive! Adam did my ear piercing and listened to where I wanted the new piercing and Adam double checked before we proceeded with the piercing. But what most impressed me was how he prioritized Sanitation. I think he must have changed his gloves four times after he touched every item needed for the process. He explained aftercare very well. Checkout was wonderful too, they made sure that I knew how to contact them at any time if I had any other questions or concerns after the fact. Oh, and they made sure I knew what the end cost would be even before the actual piercing so there are no surprises at checkout.

I appreciate the timely response and abilities to take walk in! I got a response from Ingrid literally a few minutes after sending an inquiry on their site at 1 AM ( not drunk, just a night owl ). So happy that Ingrid was able to book my brother and I in on a Saturday slot. I gave her an inspo pic which my brother and I wanted to match for Spongebob & Patrick and she did so much better than I could have imagined! She had such a cute and colorful style. As a first time tattoo, Ingrid was calm, walked me through the process and checked on me just enough during the inking. She also posts the aftercare on her insta which is great for one to look back on. I highly recommend her designs I love our tattoos and the healing process has been so seamless. Great color choice by Ingrid and a wonderful experience for my first tattoo!!!

Next week, she told me this one hour long tattoo session will cost me $500, cuz she charged by pieces. *** Unless her hourly rate is $500/hr, I don't see how it is possible for such small piece of tattoo will cost $500 before tip. Especially my design doesn't even require any of her drawing and creativity. Same date , I told her I am no longer pursuing a tattoo appt with her and I would like to cancel the appt for 9/8/2022 (the appt was cancelled 2 weeks prior to the actual date), then she refused to refund my deposit. Your website says 48 hours prior to appt notice for rescheduling/ cancellation or deposit is subject to be forfeited. I cancelled my appt more than 2 week, which was because Bunky Oyster was trying to up charge me by 4 times of the market price, and she refused to refund my deposit. Today I completed the exact same design for $180 w tips, and the session was completed within an hour. Bunky oyster is no artist, she is a scammer, shame on you for hiring such employee with low work ethic and so much greed. Please be careful, don't make the mistake I made with her
