He was clearly extremely experienced in the specific field of home inspection and he approached the inspection with diligence and thoughtfulness as if he were the buyer himself. He was extremely kind, easy to talk with, and completely respectful and informative. As a new homeowner you can feel overwhelmed, but he was patient, kind, and empowering. He was meticulous in his assessments. From scheduling, to invoicing, to the report itself, the process was absolutely seamless and timely. I would recommend this company over and over again to anyone looking for an exceptional experience. The app/software he uses for his business is fantastic. The report is extremely detailed while still being easy to navigate. This document is an asset in and of itself, especially as a new homeowner who cannot possibly remember all the information during the inspection (even with taking notes!). The report uses video, photos, key icons, standard text and individual comments to outline findings, advice on type of intervention/severity of need, and what type of intervention is most appropriate (handyman versus licensed professional etc.). What can I say? This guy is the Consummate Professional at what he does! This is my first time ever buying a house and I had no idea all that was involved in the inspection process let alone did I know of any home inspectors! My partner and I met with Marc Rodrigue for an inspection of our new 125 year old victorian home. Marc was incredibly prompt and made us feel like we actually understood what was happening. My partner has bought a home before but I haven't, so Marc made sure to cover all the bases so that we were left feeling educated and happy with our decision. Marc brought a great sense of humor to the experience and made the whole thing more fun than you would expect a 90 minute home inspection to take. He and I even bonded over a shared love of wood turning and wood working. He even went above and beyond by helping us wrangle a cat that had gotten loose in the home (the sellers managed to lock it in one of the room and asked us to keep it there). I recently had a home inspection conducted by Greg Prew and Brian of Striler Home Inspections. I spoke with Jessica over the phone who was very informative and assisted me in setting up the appointment. I needed the inspection done last minute and Jessica assured me that this wouldn't be an issue. Greg and Brian were extremely knowledgeable and informative. I am so very pleased with Chuck Striler and his home inspection business. He had arrived before the appointed time and had done the preliminary outside inspection. We are first-time home buyers and so he was thorough in his explanations. He also took pictures of issues and made certain I understood why they were issues and whether or not it would be an expensive or imminent repair. He sent us the report right away in detailed, color-coded form to show what we would need to be aware. His assistant returned our calls quite quickly and was able to get us scheduled in the next day. I was very impressed with Striler Home Inspections. I had initially left a voicemail on Saturday morning, got a call back in less than 15 minutes, and had an inspection scheduled for just a few days later. Marc showed up early and did some preliminary outside work before I even arrived but took the time to carefully review everything he had done. He spent the next several hours scoping out the place from top to bottom not just pointing out problem areas but offering recommendations for resolving those items as well as giving me some timelines (fix this right away, this can wait a bit, etc). My inspectors were very thorough and even checked a few things they're not required to inspect. They were especially good at explaining the things they are required to inspect and things to look out for, going forward in my new home. Andy is great! He inspected the first home we offered on and identified just about every issue with the place. Unfortunately it turned out to be more than we could handle so we backed out of the deal but we owe it to Striler to saving us from major headaches and financial ruin!
