While Strings and Things Pro Shop appears to be small in size, you can get everything you need to ensure your tennis game is at its best! I have gotten all my sneakers at the shop (cheaper than online and in the stores) and the racquet stringing is superb. Naoufal (owner) and his team know the ins and outs of every type of string and always string my racquets as I request but also share their thoughts on the best tension/type of string/etc for my game. If you care about improving your game and buying the most reasonable racquets around and getting the best stringing for the best price, go to Strings and Things Pro Shop. Ever since my first visit to the club over a year ago, I have been very impressed with the quality of service provided by Naoufal and Team. The team is able to recommend and customize the stringing (based on my type of game, and as a tournament player, it has made a huge difference). As the previous reviewer commented, Naoufal is able to get you any products you need (shoes, accessories, racquets...etc) at very competitive prices. I prefer shipping my racquets to Dedham and in 2-3 days the cost and quality is absolutely worth it! My recommendation is to tap into the expertise/knowledge the team is always happy to offer which you would never get from a generic sporting good shop. So ask for their advice... I am writing this review as a player who has purchased multiple rackets and shoes from the store, and it is where I always go to have my rackets restrung. Naoufal and his team are great at understanding the type of player you are and the appropriate string type an tension for your game. Great turn around time on stringing and it really improves your game - don't be the player who waits for their strings to break before they restring. If you are playing a couple of times a week, it is a great investment to restring your racket and get it back to the appropriate tension. Although it is a small shop, Naoufal can order you pretty much anything you need, so make this your first (and last) stop for shopping for your tennis needs. read more

I've played tennis at least 5 times a week since 2001 at DHAC and highly recommend the in-house pro shop, Strings & Things, for demo-ing, purchasing and stringing racquets. I use a very specialized string and will only have my racquets strung here. The shop has state of the art stringing equipment and the owner is a certified master stringer and teaching pro. The service here is very personalized so if you need expert advice on racquets and strings or anything tennis, check out this place. You don't have to be a club member to shop here! The owner "Naoufal" suggested and allowed me to demo as many rackets as neccesary until I found the one I was most comfortable with. This is a great place! I have all my racquets strung there, and I am particular about how it is done and the tension, plus or minus the recommended amount... They always get it right. I have gotten great deals on racquets (I'm a Prince guy) and sneakers... 2 cans of balls for 5 bucks flat... Owner is a pro, and a nice guy... He knows his equipment... This is small pro shop located within Dedham Health and Athletic. The owner Naoufal is a great player and understands the needs of a tennis player. The stock in his shop shop shows this. His advise on string selection and tension improved my game. This is the only place in the area I trust to re-string my rackets. I've been playing tennis for many years now and over time it's been harder and harder to find a place that really knows how to string racquets. I struck gold when I found this place. The owner and staff are very knowledgable in all aspects of the sport and the owner has his certification as a Master Stringer. Not many places are certified at that level. You can't go wrong. The Pro Shop is located in The Dedham Health Club were I play tennis. I must say that every time I need new tennis shoes or a new tennis racket I always find what I need at excellent prices. I used to get my racquets strung at Sports Authority but many times I ask the stringer about the strings the carry and they would not be able to answer my questions. This is not the case at "Strings and Things Pro Shop". They know there product and have great prices on string, sneakers and apparel. It is small place but the owner will order you most stuff at better prices than you can find on line. read more
