It's allowed me to live out my rock star fantasy in front of the most supportive and loving crowd ever. I've met so many friends here, it's more than just an open mic and a music store, it's a community and a family. I've played drums, bass, and guitar here with so many different local musicians in so many genres, it has helped me to grow and develop my skills for each instrument. It has, without exaggeration, changed my life. If open mics aren't your thing and you just want a place to buy an instrument, it's great for that too. Unlike bigger chains like Guitar Center where they just want your money and kick you out, you can have a long conversation with the people working here to make sure you're purchasing the instrument right for you. If you want lessons or you have a kid you'd like to get into music, this is the place for that, too. Often you'll see the Rick's Music World students play at the open mics and I used to think "A student? Eh, this won't be too good" and they always blow me away. Whether you're looking for a music community to change your life or you just want to buy a guitar, Rick's is the place to go.

Despite its proximity to me, I had never really shopped at TJ's. I don't know why, maybe the long…read moretime thought that it was simply a drum shop... I don't know! After hearing of their good name in amp repairs, I took mine in to get fixed. After getting it back, the amp started acting up during the first show,l with the same problems as before, only worse. I reached out to the TJ's team who vowed to make it right. They took another look at it and had some ideas, but also felt like I may be throwing more money at it to still have problems we determined a new amp would probably be the best solution. They were kind enough to credit me the amount paid for the unsuccessful repairs, even though hey spent time and money to do the work, and got me equipped with an amp I absolutely love. Nobody is perfect, and my amp wouldn't have been in such bad shape had I taken better care of it. No, the repairs weren't successful but he only thing I really lost was one show without an amp, going direct, because of an unexpected fault. They went above and beyond to make up for that and I leave there better off. I'll most definitely be sending my business there way going forward.

I've walked out of Guitar Center disappointed before; I can't say that about NH Guitars.

And at that point, no one thought this was a simple DIY project -- what, were we going to smack it down with a baseball bat and run for our lives?!? But we didn't want to use any toxic chemicals -- we have a small dog and there's a daycare right next door with little kids always running around in the yard just downwind. Thankfully there were a number of pest control companies in the area, and when we reached out to several, Green Planet Pest Control responded promptly, answered all our questions, and were able to schedule something within a day or two. The guy who came out to our house wore appropriate protection gear, and got the job done without any toxic chemicals that would've been bad for our dog or kids nearby. He also advised me on what product to get (a fairly pleasant-smelling natural spray with peppermint oil) to keep spraying in the area if I saw any return buildup, that would dissuade the wasps from sticking around. Would 100% recommend.

I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

I asked them to take pictures since the work was done in the attic, and I didn't go up there (see attached pics). We had not had them cleaned in about 4 years, and they needed it! On their way out, they quoted me to clean our HVAC vents, which I had not even thought of doing. I will definitely use them again.

Matt and Jay are absolute "top-hole" chappies. I recently bought a killer Carr 1 X 12 combo amp from Matt's Music and could not be happier with my experience. Jay provided first class service and made the transaction painless. No big deal you say? Well, OK, here's the clincher - I live in Oxfordshire, in the U.K. We agreed the price (which was a good one). Jay sorted out the shipping and within 5 days I had the amp. Two of those days were the weekend. That is FAST international shipping. Jay was as good as his word, the amp arrived in perfect condition, just as described. This is my second time of dealing with Matt's Music, first was back in 1999, not long after they opened, when Matt did me a great deal on my Martin DM. Matt's Music recentely moved after 10 years from a fairly cramped strip mall spot. I finally got in a few weeks back to check out the new shop and it is AWESOME! It has that vibe you want a music store to have and the guys working there actually know gear, which is sadly a rarity in this business. They carry a good amount of boutique brands you don't often find at the the other music shops (Dr. Z, Bogner, Mesa Boogie, Suhr, Anderson) and it's cool to be able to try this stuff out instead of just watching youtube videos. I plan on buying a new amp soon and will definitely be stopping by again! read more

This place is like a candy store for gear, which is dangerous for someone like me. Alot of high end custom shop type stuff that you don't normally see in smaller stores: Bogner, Diezel, Gibson Custom Shop, Fender Custom Shop, Suhr, Engl, Tom Anderson, Jackson and Charvel Custom stuff. I like the staff and prices are better than most too, they've always treated me well and are a bunch of good guys. They also have an excellent staff of instructors, all the ones I know of that teach there are Berklee grads. Cool! read more

We have experienced only excellent encounters at Matt's Songs ! Right after getting a number of excellent courses in the midtown area (individual instructors, structured programs, ideal pacing from the courses), I began getting classes in the Eastern Part area since it is so practical. The non-public classes have already been an excellent chance to obtain more person interest and discover tunes that I'm thinking about. The staff and teachers are friendly and helpful. I'd say if you want Guitar Center, go to Guitar Center. If you want individual attention, and a couple lifetimes of expertise, go see the Doc. If you want to support the Walmart of music, that's ok. Sometimes I do, too. But, if you want to shop local, support local businesses, and enjoy the mom-and-pop charm, go see the Doc. Reading the reviews here leaves me scratching my head. The one who had their bass setup done, came back a month later with questions and they didn't remember them...Ok. That's a 1 star review? Like, was there an actual problem? And, if there was a problem, did you have your receipt? Cause, I'm pretty sure they're not going to remember setting up your new bass a month later at Guitar Center, either. Or, maybe there is just more to that story... If you're on the fence, go check them out for yourself. Chances are good you'll think they're pretty cool, too.

This CD is truly a blessing from the heavens and delivered to us via the prophet Robert. This is both the greatest album in history, and the greatest album of today. This is what happens when you search through a vault of precious 24 karat gold, and still manage to leave with the highest quality platinum. This CD ruined all other albums for me, nothing else even holds a candle. The beautiful singing, the masterful guitar work, the majestic drumming, God I can't even accurately describe how exquisite it is. I immediately wished to purchase this masterpiece, but as this work of art was so coveted, as at the time there was zero information easily findable on the internet, the store owner and I reached an agreement. We would do research on how much the CD originally sold for and I would later return to this treasure trove to agree on a price. 1 week later I made my return, and after discovering that it originally sold for an affordable 5 U.S dollars, the prophet Robert, in all of his wondrous generosity, let me have it for 10. That is the story of how I obtained the pinnacle of human expression in music form on one, inexpensive, incredible CD. Thank you for reading this section of feedback, and please consider visiting this establishment, as I can guarantee that you will leave a happy patron with the greatest music one could ever hear, except of course, for Crackwhore, as only I am lucky enough to have a copy of humanity's magnum opus.
