I have AAA so…read moreI called to get a tow to a local tire company and this one happens to be right down the street from where I live. But that's not why I picked it. My daughter didn't internship at the BGPD and she said that they really like this place. So I called and they asked me if I wanted it fixed or if I wanted a brand new tire I told them probably a brand new tire. They quoted me a price for the tire and for the job and said it wouldn't be any more than that. We had the tow truck dropped my car off in the next day. I was able to pick it up surprise surprise they didn't have to get me a new tire after all they looked at it. It was fixable and I only spent I think about $56 there. No one tried to fleece me take advantage of me. They could a very easily made me pay for a brand new tire and hike. The price I wouldn't have known so I really trust this place and this is where I'll be taking my car from now on.

Greer Auto Service has totally given new life to my beloved VW Jetta. she is a 2000, V-6 that has…read moreperformed well over the years, minus a few issues thanks to the owner (oops). However, over the past few months I had begun to experience difficulty with the A/C system...would occasionally work though more often not. I was worried about the cost of diagnostic procedures, and once the problem was located, about the cost of repairs. After taking the car to another shop, the freon pressure was deemed appropriate but their options/ideas were stifled at that point. They did suggest taking the car down to Greer's for further evaluation; thus, we were off... The guys at Greer's were able to rule out the expensive fixes (much to my delight) and narrowed the problem down to 2 separate components, each dealing with the electrical system. We opted to go with the least expensive option first, they ordered the part, it showed up on time and had my car fixed in less than an hour. Best part: I HAVE AIR CONDITIONING AGAIN!!!!! And yes, that last statement is extremely important as I will be driving back to Austin Texas in the upcoming months in the evil heat. I am now able to ride in comfortable style :-) Best of all, total cost was $109.05 for both part and labor. Not bad considering past repair bills for the VW. Ouch. So thank you, Greer's Auto Service, for allowing more happy time with my car and for not taking all the money i had (which wasn't much, but happy to have some left over, hehe)! Other notes: the shop was clean, inviting, personnel were extremely helpful, answering all questions I had and even pointing out things on the engine to further demonstrate what they were talking about. As a female, and having dealt with many shops in the past, they treated me with the utmost respect and I would happily return, though hope to not need their services again...if you know what I mean. I was looking for a weekend project, so I yanked an old lawn mower that my dad had given me years…read moreago out of the garage to fix up. This mower has not been used in a few years and is old (early '90s). Hey, I used it to cut lawns during summers to make some extra cash in high school, so this lawn mower holds some sentimental value, too. To make a long story short, I popped over to Lanny's to talk with their staff about some issues that kept the mower from running. I am not all that mechanically inclined, but Lanny's helped to figure out what needed replacing. We looked over schematics, and then they found the appropriate parts for this dinosaur in their inventory. I was surprised that they had parts for mowers from the early '90s! Great service! Friendly, helpful, courteous, and willing to show you the ropes if you need it. If I need parts for simple repairs, I'll be heading back to Lanny's. When standing by the counter, be sure to check out all of the crazy damaged lawn mower blades. What the heck do people run over?

No problems but the coolant put back in was green instead of the yellow. I also had them price changing the 4 spark plugs which their estimate was $504.51. I changed them myself for $70.00 and only took an hour. I have always been a customer for several years but now question the fair pricing. The work was done satisfactory but question pricing. I'm looking elsewhere now.

Most of the time I take my car to the Dealer to eliminate risk of potential complications due to being unfamiliar with Subaru hardware, and without a Subaru dealer in Bowling Green, I was a little worried about finding a good spot to get the work done. The guys who performed the work on my car quelled all of those fears very quickly. The main technician was excited to see the car in the shop, and we had a good discussion about affordable sporty cars, which always warms the car enthusiast in me. I was in and out of the shop in less than 45 minutes (with one other person in front of me, and only 1 bay open, mind you). It'd be nice if both bays were open at all times, but I understand the logistics of a small town probably don't make this a viable option. All told, great work to the Crossroads team. He was told they were closing in 5 minutes and couldn't do it. In my book if they don't want to take anymore business, close it up early. It was an eye opener for us.
