First of all, they closed the classic diner and sold out to a Whataburger franchise. Second of all, we used to enjoy stopping at Rowdy's Rest Stop for the dogs, but what used to be a nice, grassy area is overgrown with weeds. They used to maintain a deer feeder in the dog rest area and we enjoyed seeing the deer. It is still a convenient place to stop for fuel, but it is NOT AS NICE as it was before.

I will tell you BEWARE if you purchase deli meat or cheese. THEY DO NOT REMOVE THE CLEAR PLASTIC BEFORE THEY SLICE IT. The result is, you end up with a stack of product that has shreds of plastic wrapping all in it. It's clear so it is hard to see. You end up eating some of it. I have complained to management about this and still the employees just ignore it. I can't tell you how pissed I am about this. I will not shop there anymore.
