Pilot Travel Center is one of the most reliable gas stations for road trips. Every time we go on a trip around Texas, we make sure to stop at Pilot Travel Center because they usually have the cheapest gas price, plus their bathrooms are usually in good condition and they have a wide selection of food items for everyone in the family. This particular location is conveniently located right halfway between San Antonio and Houston. They have a Taco Bell location attached to their main building, but also offer other already prepared meal options. The bathrooms are located on the right side of the building. The women's bathrooms does not have as many stalls as compared to other Pilot Travel Center locations so keep that in mind if you are stopping here during a busy time. When you visit make sure to sign up for their rewards points so you can save on gas and other items. They also offer a 10% military discount on items you purchase inside their store. read more

Clean large bathrooms, plenty of gas pumps, large parking lot, easy in and out. I only stopped here for gas and use the bathroom. Walking through the store I see they have the normal convenience store things plus some pastries and a few other foods. read more

Stopped there this morning thinking I could get me a quick breakfast and a hot cup of coffee and I got the opposite. Coffee was cold took one sip of it and threw it away and they had no hot breakfast available. That's pretty ridiculous for being a 24 hour truck stop Cashier was rude also. Not very professional or even know what they are doing- if your an over the road trucker dont stop here-- they didn't know how to run the register ran my card wrong got it locked out then tried to say it was simply declined- checked the account and called the bank they said that it was not declined but locked up by. Too many invalid attempts of use. Leaving me with no way to fund any personal expenses what so ever. Ridiculous. I'll never use another pilot again. read more

Taco Bell drive through says "open 24 hrs" .. it even says it on the screen where you place your order. Drive up at 12:45am Labor Day weekend to the drive through and waited for 5 mins with no one taking my order. I drove up to window... I had to knock on the drive through window for the guy inside to even look at me. When he saw me, he used no words... just the generic slicing a throat gesture signaling closed. If you aren't 24hrs, don't advertise it. read more

We mainly stopped here for the bathrooms but we also decided to check out the rest of the store. This place is fully stocked with all sorts of snacks and goodies. There were even a few things I found that I didn't know existed. I was pleasantly surprised to see cheese and meat right as we walked in. But as for the bathrooms, they were a mess. As we were leaving they did call someone to clean them so at least someone was on top of that. read more

Traveling back and forth between Houston and San Antonio, I regularly stop at Pilot Travel Center in Schulenburg, Texas to grab a bite. Schulenburg is the halfway point between the two, and has several dining options. But if you're in a hurry, get the Classic Double Steak Burger and a Sprite. Charged on credit card 151$ for a 23$ gas bill. Go inside to ask and someone pulls behind me with a trailer. Gets stuck and complains so I have to move my car. Employees didn't need to tell me to move and then yell across store how yelling at me fixed the problem. Maybe try to listen to people's concerns. Not my fault someone pulled behind me and couldn't back up. read more

I stop here a few times a year while traveling. The employees are nice and friendly the gas prices are competitive. But the hot food options they serve at the counter is a bit pricey. However for the gas and other items I pick up there when passing through is worth the stop read more

I love Buc-ee's and always look forward to stopping there on my way to Houston from San Antonio. Now, I have a convenient stop to look forward to when I'm returning! This stop is awesome and filled with food options. Auntie Annie's pretzels, Cinnabon, Taco Bell, cafeteria-style options, pizza, hot dogs, salads, and plenty of desserts. Also loved their drink options, at least 5 Icee flavors, frozen coffee, AND frozen horchata (didnt find any rum, unfortunately). I heard that the restrooms weren't as nice as Buc-ee's. I'll have to check for myself next time. But this is a great stop for food, drinks, and a break! read more

Mother in need! I traveled from San Antonio to Houston for work and this was my first time away from my child. On our way home I NEEDED to pump! I was in pain! I went to Buc-ee's...no help. Well 30 about minutes later we see Pilot! The ladies helped me out so much. Lauren and her team let me go in a closet since there were no showers available at the time. I thank them so much! This place is insanely friendly. Everybody from the management to the cashiers are really making a concerted effort to make travelers feel welcome and at ease. The friendliness alone merits a five star review but on top of that the food is on point. The pizza I had is not only the best gas station pizza I've ever had but it rivals sit down "pizza only" type restaurants. We stopped here to go to the restroom. I was skeptical as with any convenient store restrooms along your travels. This was a very nice store with very clean restrooms. There was even a sign stating their attention and importance to keep the restrooms clean and if not there was a phone # posted to call. Definitely recommend stopping here. Love the store in general. I am from out of town and it was late at night and I was looking for a place to get my Mallo Cup fix. I called many 24 hour stores for 20 minutes looking for a store that carries Mallo cups. Finally I call Pilot and David answers the phone. I asked if they had Mallo Cups and explained what they were. Without hesitation David responds no and hangs up. I looked up Pilot and found out that they did carry Mallo Cups. I drive 30 minutes to the store to easily find the Mallo Cups. Get to the checkout and it's David. He has the nerve to ask if I was the one who called asking about the Mallo Cups. I told him yes and that it was very unprofessional of him to not even check, I even told him he could have put me on hold for 30 seconds and pretended to check but he did not. Twenty minutes later after the cashier figured out how to give them the employee discount, she walked off instead of cashing me out. That is when I really had enough.
