If anyone knew the iconic father daughter duo, Hank & Beth Strobbe, the previous owners of Strobbe Flower Cart, you were very lucky. I'm asking that you hold on to those memories of that family run shop, and not what they have become today. As a former employee and customer of Strobbe Flower Cart, I encourage you to find another small local florist to support. Absolutely terrible experience! First I was told my order was canceled without notice.. Then, They outsourced my order without telling me. They weren't sure who received my order. I had to call back to Strobbe and they were put off that I would check on the order.. The substitute florist was someone who did not care, the delivery person was rude, nasty and condicending. What was delivered was not what I picked out and it looked like it rolled around the back of the truck. Wy wife said I would have been better off picking up truck stop roses. No pride in their work, no customer service. Very disappointed, I guess truckstop roses from now on. read more

I live right outside of DC and I have used Strobbe's Flower Cart to send flowers to my mom quite often. She is in a nursing home in Kenosha. Her favorite flowers are pink carnations. Every time I call Strobbe's Flower cart they are so helpful and make sure she receives the most beautiful bouquet of pink carnations!!! They brighten up her day!! Today I spoke with Amy and when she learned it was my moms birthday she said they would make the flowers extra special and deliver them as soon as possible. $51.00 later with delivery and no flowers. Delivery driver left a VERY vague voicemail saying I could pick them up (his exact words) "you know, on Roosevelt by the diner" what!?. Tried calling them back several times and they're closed. Needless to say I'm very disappointed, and she's not getting a surprise ... read more

I recently buried my mother after 89 years, living in Chicago I went on the Strobbe's web site, and picked out the flowers by the description and the photo. I was pleasantly surprised as the flowers shown on the web site were exactly as described and exceeded my expectations. I needed to call with a few questions and slight changes to the sprays ordered and they could not have been more professional and sympathetic. I went to Strobbe's hoping to have my wedding bouquet recreated for my local reception. Of course, my original bouquet included difficult flowers - black dahlias and amaranthus - but she told me she would do her best. Her best was great - the recreated bouquet was beautiful! And, she made several recommendations for my floral centerpieces, and those turned out great as well (individual stems and grasses in wine bottles). read more

Ordered 3 bouquets for a celebration of life event. The staff was very helpful with ideas and suggestions. The arrangements were just beautiful with fresh long lasting flowers. I later received an arrangement that was ordered long distance which also was of the highest quality. Will order all my flowers from Strobe's in the future. read more

Ordered flowers for a funeral. They were perfect! Exactly as I requested and they were beautiful. I had a really bad experience with a Racine florist so was leery with what would show up. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Very relieved and happy. read more

The reason my rating is so low has nothing to do with the flowers--they were beautiful, even after receiving them two days late--wherein lies my problem. Flowers that I should have received on Valentine's Day (which was on a Tuesday) were left with my neighbor the following day because no one answered my door when the delivery person came. On Friday, my neighbor finally called to tell me she had flowers for me that Strobbe left with her (she thought they had contacted me). I immediately called Strobbe to find out why someone didn't call to let me know they had left my flowers with a neighbor since they had my phone number (which was clearly printed on the envelope with the card). Their response was, "We left a note on your door." That's it! I said a note is fine, but you ask for a recipient's phone number in case there's a problem, as in this situation. By the way, I've still not found or seen a note. The cavalier attitude overshadowed the beautiful flowers, so I've advised my son to be sure when sending flowers in the future that the florist is not Strobbe. It's a shame, too, because they did an excellent job; however, customer service is as important as the product. read more
