High humidity…read morespecies kept in glass tanks with paper towel, the feces is never cleaned out, the water bowls are rarely filled, there is dark lines on the paper towel from their ceiling leaking into the tank (a lot of tanks and their floor was flooded) they didn't change it for MONTHS. 98% of the snakes have absolutely no hides or caves, are kept on paper towel, and in some cases nothing at all. Animals with layers upon layers of stuck shed and eye caps. The place is riddled with mites and the owner Logan says "if u put a pest strip and soak the animal in bleach it will be fine." He is also a scam artist and the employees agree. One employee admitted that the business is going under. That's why prices are so high and the animals aren't getting the attention they need. The employees also admitted that the owner is not as knowledgeable as he seems to be. He has given me many absolutely wrong husbandry tips and doesn't really know what he's talking about. But, if you aren't knowledgeable yourself you should be able to trust the staff and the owner that they will give u good information. But, unfortunately that doesn't happen here. I saw so many disgusting dreadful tanks and the employees just sit at the front and talk all day instead of cleaning or feeding a lot of their extremely underweight animals. This place needs to be shut down and those animals need to be rescued. Absolutely Disgusting

If you have any questions on any of the animals Tony, his wife or his staff are always willing to help in anyway they can. I bought two royal pythons and a fish from them. All of them are still very healthy. Any time I have trouble with my pets (even the ones I didn't purchase there) they are always willing to give me advise or help in any way they can. Sometimes when I go in just to buy some food or something small for my pets I end up staying for hours just playing with the animals and talking to who ever is working there at the time. Everyone is very friendly and they all know me, and get to know all of their clientele as much as they can. All of their stock for the animals is safe clean and new. If you live in the greater northwest Ohio area and want a new pet or need something for your own, this is defiantly the place to go.

We headed over to Chow Hound because it was the closest place we found (about 25 min away) that had a self dog wash station. Upon arriving we saw a note on the door that said the dog wash station was closed (just our luck!). We decided to go in anyway to see if they could suggest somewhere else to go to get our dogs washed because they obviously would be much more familiar with the area than we were since we were just traveling through. We explained to the young man at the register that we were on an extended trip and we had driven all the way to their store to wash our dogs and asked him if he knew of another place nearby where we could go since their wash station was closed. To which he replied that no he didn't in a very disinterested and unhelpful manner. We went to the back of the store to try to find a treat for our dogs to reward them for being such good puppers when a woman, who seemed to be the manager, emerged from the back. She promptly asked us if she could help us and we explained as we had to the previous employee why we had come to the store and asked her if she could recommend somewhere else to go to wash our dogs. She seemed to genuinely empathize with our situation and told us the station was closed because they didn't have sufficient stock of clean towels but she thought she might have enough to at least accommodate us. Within a couple of minutes she reappeared with four clean towels and she escorted us to their dog wash room. The room was clean and extremely well stocked with brushes, cleaning supplies and several shampoos to choose from. The only thing that it seemed to be lacking was a whitening shampoo (a must since one of our dogs is a Westie and just loooves to roll around in the grass). The situation was easily resolved though as I was able to run out into the store and grab a bottle of whitening shampoo to buy. After washing our dogs we perused the store and picked out some treats for our fur babies. While we shopped two other employees checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We didn't but it was very kind of them to ask. The prices seemed reasonable for the treats. However other items like grooming tools were a little pricey. Overall, this was a nice little pet store. All of the employees we interacted with were great with the exception of the young man we first spoke with and we really appreciated the employee/manager who made such an effort to help us out.
