We had some issues with our AC at the beginning of the summer. After getting a free inspection, the first of three companies said that the system was old, mis-matched, and needed to be replaced. It would cost about $26K for everything. The second company said the same, but dropped their price to around $21K. Strong came in, agreed with the assessment, but laughed at the quotes I was offered. They explained that they are not in the business of gouging customers. A brand name, high quality, high efficiency, two stage full HVAC replacement came in at HALF the first quote - soup to nuts. Jeff Jennings (and Steve) from Strong Heating & Cooling installed our new electric water heater, and we are thrilled. We had a gas water heater previously, and Strong did an excellent job of converting our system to electric while installing a "smart" Rheem Gladiator water heater. We used Yelp to contact several installers. We received four provider quotes for the water heater and its installation. Jeff was prompt and professional in quoting the system, and he really stood out in his expert understanding of the whole installation process, as well as his competitive pricing. Being an HVAC provider, not just an electrician or plumber, Jeff was able to appreciate how our installation fit into our system. Jeff's knowledge and expertise were the perfect combination for our needs. The final installed water heater is a major improvement over our previous unit. Jeff and Steve installed flex water connections (which will make installing any subsequent water heater much easier). They used armored flex conduit for the electrical connection, which looks great and improves safety. On his own initiative, and without extra charge, Steve made corrections to our boiler ducting. This is one reason we believe it makes sense to have HVAC experts do water heater installation. In previous home projects, other plumbing/HVAC vendors have been problematic or unprofessional, and we are happy to have found Strong Heating and Cooling here in Colorado Springs. I can't say enough good things about Jeff and the business he runs. Our project has been a huge undertaking. Located in the old north end, our 1889 Victorian had never had forced air and only had radiant heat. All of our cast iron radiators had to be disconnected and removed. This was no easy feat. Each of them weighs hundreds of pounds and had to be removed and then recycled. Next came the electrical work and install of all the ducts upstairs and finally downstairs while we were also having new floors laid on the main level. Steven and Steven had to arrange their install with the floor installers and Steven even came in when he was really sick to work out a few kinks and confirm a few things so that the floor install could progress accordingly. All while we were out of town and couldn't help facilitate anything. Really grateful to have found Jeff, Steven and Steven. Truly they are the salt of the earth and some of the best, most trustworthy individuals you will meet. read more

I, Ron Pratt had a very poor experience with Strong Heating and Cooling installing a furnace.at my residence.Installer chiseled out a 5" jagged hole in my brick wall for a 3" exhaust line. Installer placed the exhaust line directly adjacent to my backdoor. Fumes were blowing back into the home. Had to relocate line..Strong Heating installer damaged my shower wall by drilling three holes into my bathroom shower wall from the crawlspace side searching for a location for the furnace dripline.Had to repair bathroom tile.Strong Heating was a no call no show for a "five hour window" service appointment..Installer arrived to perform checklist for city inspection.Installer shut off the furnace in the crawl space to service furnace and failed to turn furnace back on. We had no heat for two cold days until he returned at 6pm following day to flip a switch after repeated calls for assistance.Very poor planning, very unprofessional. Manager was rude and inconsiderate...I do not recommend Strong Heating and Cooling. read more

Steve did an excellent job installing our new water heater. Steve determined some challenges mounting the expansion tank. Steve decided that to install the tank properly he would need to return with the proper materials and tools. We were so impressed with his customer service that we will recommend Strong to our son and his next-door neighbor who has plumbing needs. The company who installed our hot water heater nine years ago went out of business. We always wanted to find another service provider who had very fair pricing and did timely and excellent work. Strong provides free estimates and does not charge for a visit to the home like many other companies for that same service.
