I desperately needed a new furnace and water heater, so I did my homework and got quotes from FIVE different HVAC companies. Not only were Strong Heating & Cooling the cheapest in town for the furnace and water heater, but when Steven suggested adding air conditioning at the same time (which I hadn't originally planned on), the total price for all three -- furnace, water heater, AND A/C -- was still cheaper than three of the other companies quoting me for just the furnace and water heater alone. That alone blew me away. But the real difference was the customer service. Steven, who sold me the system, was also the one who came out and personally installed everything. My water heater was not working and I checked around for repair/replacement services. Strong Heating and Cooling scheduled a free in-person visit to diagnose the problem. Wouldn't you know it, my furnace didn't turn on the morning of the appointment so lots of cold to go around in a Colorado December. Steven showed up on time and was quickly able to assess the situation with the water heater and then checked on the furnace. He was able to identify the problems, explain them to me, and then fixed them all as part of the free assessment. He was able to get the water heater going but since it was about 10 years old, I was already planning on replacing it and had already purchased a new water heater. After getting a fair quote, I decided to proceed with Strong Heating and Cooling mostly because of Steven's quick, effective, friendly customer service was so refreshing throughout the process. Just had an EXCELLENT experience with them! Steve, the tech who came to the home, was very down to earth and NEVER made me feel stupid as a homeowner for what was ultimately a very simple process of relighting our pilot light. The company took all the info on the water heater the day before so they were ready for what may come. The gave me a two-hour window (instead of the typical four!), sent a text message approximately 20min prior that he was on the way, then arrived a couple minutes after 9a for a 9am meeting. When he came in, he even took off his shoes! Walked me through everything and provide additional options if I wanted them. Never once did I feel like they were trying to up-sale things. Feeling comfortable with the previous customer reviews given to Strong Heating/Cooling, I called for an appointment to service my 24yr old furnace. The service representative Steven was punctual and very knowledgeable regarding his recommendation to consider a new replacement with a 96% high efficiency unit. He informed me I could have gone with an 80% efficient unit which would be replacing my existing furnace but OEM parts were becoming harder to find if future servicing was needed.
