Bev is the owner and she is very kind! She rents out the separate suite in the lower half of her beautiful home. There are two bedroom - one with a queen size bed and the second with two single beds. There is a full sized bathroom and a nice living room with a gas fireplace for those chilly night. The couch pulls out into a queen bed as well so you can easily sleep 6 people in this suite. It looks our onto the beautiful Strait of Georgia - we honestly were sad to leave! There is a fully stocked kitchen all you have to do is bring your own food and drink and you can relax and have a great time! We plan on brining our kids next time and staying to enjoy the beautiful view some more. Bev was kind enough to offer a bottle of white wine which was nice after our long day out on the beach foraging for shellfish. This place is a gem for sure and we would recommend it to anyone looking to get away and stay on the island.

Ocean Sands Resort is more of a spacious 2 bedroom condo than a resort…read more The suite we stayed in was on the second floor. It had a master bedroom with a king size bed and the second bedroom had 2 single beds. Our party was 4 adults and 1 child to share 1 bathroom, but it worked out for us. The full kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast whenever we wanted. The living room has enough seating for all of us and it was it was an open layout that connected with the kitchen as well as the dining room. There's a balcony right from the living room as well as a window looking out to the ocean. It was such a beautiful view to wake up to each morning. I remember waking at up 5:25AM to go to the washroom and I was such in awe of the sun just peaking out from the horizon that I decided to stay up to watch the sunrise. There's also a children's playground on the main Parking floor. It's small, but sufficient and kept my daughter happy. The only thing that prevented Ocean Sands from being 5 stars is due to the wear and tears of the place. The 2 Lazy Boy seats had tears near the head rest and generally the place was on the older side. There's also a few areas that needed cleaning and attention outside. Other than that, we all enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when we visit Parksville.

It was all clean and well-maintained and very reasonably priced. Our oceanfront unit (310A) had a fabulous ocean view, patio and lawn. Note: In the oceanfront units, rooms numbered in the 300's are the bottom floor and 100's area the top floor, probably because you take an elevator down from the parking lot.

Blown away. This…read morespot is lovely, and easily one the nicest B&B's I have ever enjoyed. The exposure is West-southwest, capturing the heat and the sunsets. There's A/C for comfortable nights during the summer, and fireplaces for ambience and warmth during the winter. Marsha's breakfast is delicious, and she was very accommodating to mentioned food restrictions. (Next time can we order two breakfasts?) There are also BBQ's and lots of area for dinner on the terraces. The other guests there at the same time as us were celebrating their first anniversary. None of us wanted to leave. To say that the suites are well-appointed falls far short. They have everything you need, and are cozy, comfortable and quiet. The hot tub is clean and has a spectacular view of the straight. Follow the gorgeous, long new staircase down to the water and you're surprised by private little spots with adirondack chairs. You can be 15 feet from other guests enjoying the beach and still feel like it's your own secret garden spot. There is a little spa cabin by the water as well, and although we didn't partake of the services, it was tempting. I could just imagine the ocean breezes lulling a person to sleep under the skilled hands of the local massage therapist. If you like to watch the boat traffic come and go, this is a great spot. If you're a gardener, you'll appreciate all of the planning and work that has gone into the property. If you like the beach, low tide opens up a white sand mini-spit just off the shore. And if you're crazy and brought work to do (like I did), there are tables in each suite, wifi and lots of peace and quiet.

After staying at some not so great Air BnB's in August of 2017, this was a really nice change of pace. Even if we hadn't stayed at those Air BnB's, Whiski deserves the 5 stars. This seems to be a newer resort and the bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice and spacious. The only thing is, it was confusing in the beginning finding our particular room. That was minor. The bathroom was better and nicer looking than ones I've stayed in as of late traveling. The tub was great for a good, luxurious soak and they included quality soap, shampoo and conditioner. They have a good size, clean and new looking kitchen and we had fun cooking up meals in it. They had all the tools for cooking so it was very convenient. Beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. I would stay here again. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Very Surprise this place was very big had the following: -Pots -Pans -Knives -Cutlery -Laundry Detergent -Dishwashing Soap -Shampoo -Soap -Washer and Dryer -Conditioner -Lotion, -3 towels -6 Seat Dinning Table -Sofa Bed -Love Seat -Single Chair and Balcony that faced the pool and the view of the mountains which was sooo beautiful to wake up to and with natural light. Quite hot in the hallways. Stayed in suite 207 Lots of Closet Space!! It's a 3-5 Minute Drive to the whistler village. The Sound System can only accept a CD, Cassette and has a radio does not have an aux in cord or socket but the TV has a satellite radio channel for different types of music might be better that way. The sofa bed was not comfortable at all you can feel the springs on your back might want to bring extra blankets they had 2 extra blankets they were fleece but at night it became really cold. You throw your own garbage but the only thing that im guessing whistler does not do the organic thing. Parking space is pretty tight if you have a pick up truck. They also provide carts to bring your stuff up which is definitely plus. The Elevator is quite slow and small. The Jacuzzi at the time the jets were not working but it is hot but not as hot. The Heated Pool is warm but not as hot as the Jacuzzi. Overall I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to everyone :)

The place is organized, with clear markers on the camp site. There are two washroom facilities on both upper and lower levels. The washroom has toilets, sinks and hot shower (token operated, $1 for 4 mins). Get the tokens when checking in. Also get the key to the usb charging locker. There is also laundry facilities. $3 per load for washer, same for dryer. Have loonies with you as it only takes that and there is no change machine inside. The place is safe and pretty secure. You need the key to enter the washroom and laundry room. There is a common wash area to wash your utensils. I love the close proximity to the beach. There is a playground, volleyball court, pier and a beach trail. Beautiful sunset by the waters and we saw moon jellyfish, seals and sea otters. Eagles too. Go with someone who knows camping and learn from them what to do so that you will know what to do in future. Setting up the tent, starting fire and bbqing. We were lucky there was no fire ban in place when we were there so we could have the campfire to make s'mores. Highly recommended.
