Roze koeken, kruidnootjes, snelle henkie, pain provence, and appel muffin were among my choices, and although I haven't eaten them all yet, so far everything is really tasty. Not the usual texture problems with gluten free items. Everything is individually wrapped. So glad to have found them - definitely a step up from the packaged stuff at the supermarkets.

The side of tartar sauce was heavenly creamy, sweet and tangy. Frens Haringhandel is a must visit.

But we knew we had to try it, and life is short. It is a tiny stand located along a central canal in the heart of the city. Business is hopping here. We got the picked herring and kibbeling, which are the main staples here. The pickled herring was, well, something you either love or don't. It has somewhat of a gelatinous texture that can be off-putting, but when you take a bite with the sides of sweet pickles and onions, it shines. The Kibbeling was out of this world. Perfectly fried with a crunchy batter that had a hint of, hmmm, curry, maybe. It was amazing. Although the batter was thick and tasty, it didn't outdo the delicious cod. The staff here was friendly, and having this Dutch food along a canal in Amsterdam made for a memorable experience. There are plenty of places to sit near the stand - enjoy this tasty food and watch the world go by.

Super fluffy, warm, covered in plenty of powdered sugar, and exactly what I wanted after walking around Amsterdam all day. People add toppings and sauces and all kinds of extras, but these didn't even need it. Just give me the pancakes and the sugar and leave me alone for a minute. I would happily eat a billion of them.

I'd definitely come back and choose to eat here over the greasy fried and heavily sauced places in this mall.

Not only can you find Hans Worst on top of the famous Koopgoot but you can also find them as traveling entrepreneurs as well. You could catch these guys at festivals, cd-releases (especially when Three Dead Mexicans on a Skateboard is playing) and even at Schorem Haarsnijder En Barbier. There sausages are made of 100% organic pork or beef and come with toppings of your choice. Bacon, sauerkraut, chili sauce or sambal it is yours for the taking. The real cheddar cheese was nicely melted and the bun was so toasted the edges were crisp. The thick cut bacon was plentiful and brought the salt. Lettuce, tomato and pickle complemented the whole packacge nicely and brought variety to the flavor and texture of the burger.
