They gave me Toradol for pain and anti-nausea medicine via IV, so clearly bad enough. The only thing the doc could think of doing after numerous tests was a spinal tap for meningitis. While yes it's good she did bloodwork which did ultimately show bacteria in my blood over 28 hours later (doctor called the next day to inform me)... this should have been suspected with the extreme symptoms I presented with, and antibiotics should have been started intravenously right away. This is why so many people die from sepsis, I am lucky time was on my side, not everyone does with this.... Every minute makes a difference. I almost got up to save a very eldery woman because she was getting flustered and didn't know what to do. They have no empathy and make things as difficult on you as possible. For instance, I needed blood work, they were supposed to have sent it over, not there. Call for help and I got hung up on, try again got left on hold for over 45min til they wore me down and I hung up. I called again and got Lillian who was absolutely going to help me...yay....not there again. Needless to say I am no longer a patient there... I will not be subject to that kind of treatment. I just got off the phone with their supervisor who would have a hardcopy of the labs at the office and she would speak to the staff.
