Also deducted stars for lack of responsiveness. We worked with them for roughly 5 years, and Kevin is overall a good guy, but once his client base expanded, it seems customer service has gone by the wayside. Roughly a year ago, he identified a simple/quick fix after the central air had failed not once, but twice. Contacted Kevin via text & email multiple times over several months, only to get a rude response on a Saturday morning, in his words: "It's 8AM on Saturday, right?" Clearly he doesnt care for my business, which is too bad since we had previously built a decent rapport. I had been putting off this review for some time because I fully understand the challenges posed during the pandemic as well as to this day. He last told me he was booked out for 6 weeks, which I then asked that we could be put on schedule 6-8 weeks out during a time where heating/cooling systems don't get used as regularly, but no response. All in all, they're probably great to work with if they value you're business or if you're lucky enough to get them to come and repair something for you, but if you haven't used them before, don't bother -- build a relationship with a different company who will value your business.

Alex came over and looked at the old AC unit and furnace. His professional guidance including a recommended solution was both honest and accurate. I accepted his solution and scheduled the install. The entire time I was kept in the loop by text and phone calls. The day of the job they showed up exactly on time 8am. The team was fronted by Amando and with him was Pete and Tyler. This was clearly not their first rodeo. Amazing, the three men quickly removed the old units both inside and out and installed the new units. They put down tarps and the area was left cleaner than when they got here! And it works. Great! I'd recommend Davis to anyone who needs to have HVAC work performed!

They were prompt in scheduling an appt. and actually called the day before because the technician was "right around the corner" so he came a day earlier. Apparently the emergency "off" switch was accidentally turned off when my husband changed the filter. He noticed it immediately but charged me $150 for the visit. I understand a minimum trip charge but he was literally less than 1/2 mile away so he wasn't going out of his way to come to my house. When I called Old York to explain that I thought the charge was excessive considering all he had to do was flip a switch, I was told someone would call me back in a couple of days. Of course no one did and when I followed up a week later I was told that the technician also checked the electrical connections and the pressure and that is how they justified that charge. He was here no more than 10 minutes but spent 1/2 hr sitting in my driveway afterwards. I guess that is how they justify the time spent on the job even if they aren't doing anything. You would think they might offer a partial credit towards a future service just to keep a customer. I will not be using their services in the future nor will I recommend them.

I hired this company to replace and install a new A/C unit last year (2024) because there was a leak identified by them. Three weeks ago in the dead of summer with a heat wave in NJ, the new A/C Unit stopped working. So after calling Shamanski to fix the problem, they came out and determined it was a leak again that they were originally hired to FIX. The owner refused to honor their work done last year as it was clearly a defected unit they had installed. He instructed his staff to tell me that I would have to pay for another AC Unit AGAIN. I wanted to obviously talk to the owner and must've called his office 10 times trying to get a hold of him but he could've cared less getting on the phone or calling an unhappy customer back and making things right in a heat wave for the work they did. Again, I did not ask for them to install a new AC unit for free, as I paid THOUSANDS of dollars worth of labor and a "new" AC unit. Do NOT waste your time and money with this company. There are really good HVAC companies that actually do a good job and HONOR their work when things don't work.

Then, I think his name was Tom, wasn't sure what the other charge would be. I got the invoice for work today. $149 service charge and $217 to clean the igniter, no parts needed, just cleaning. This was for less than 1/2 hours work. Go elsewhere if you don't want to break the bank
