It was easy to book, they also gave excellent suggestions and I loved the fact that they didn't try to upsell me, instead they would suggest ways I could make the event more economical by purchasing some stuff off Amazon instead of renting. Update: The company did refund our linens and provided an extra monetary compensation. I wish they had done that before our event and without us having to ask for it. An extraordinarily terrible, stressful, and wholly confusing experience. Still working to recover from the intense anxiety this company gave us on what should have been the most amazing and relaxing weekend. We signed a contract months ago with Stuart Rental, after shopping around various showrooms for the exact shades of yellow we were looking to use for our 250 person event. We placed an order for more than $1,5000 worth of linens, cups, plates, etc. On the day of pickup, we were told to first provide full payment for our items, so we headed into the showroom and gave full payment for the order. When we pulled out back to receive our items, none of our linen colors or sizes were correct! Four very different shades, including what appeared to be orange, in all the wrong sizes. Mark began making phone calls to their warehouse, and the whole place went into a tizzy. Meanwhile, we were outside in the loading area just left there without communication as to what was going on, how this order could so famously be mistaken when it's all clearly written out on the contract. They finally asked us to go home while they worked out the logistics of the problem with their warehouse. They promised to call us just as soon as they figured out what to do about our situation. When it was clear their warehouse didn't have the inventory to fulfill our order, they did not communicate this with us. Instead, they kept the carrot dangling in front of us all day with us in tears wondering how we would pivot to this many linens from other companies. By 4pm, while we were at our final rehearsal for our event, they called us to say they found the linens and the correct sizes and they would be delivering them between 5pm-6:30pm to our home. This felt like it should have been decent news, but this also means our rehearsal dinner was cut short and full of anxiety because now we had to go home to wait for the company to appear. After cutting our amazing dinner short, the linens were not delivered to our home until 8pm!! No communication about how late they'd be at all. But the worst part?? Half the linens they provided were from a completely different company (whose showroom we visited months ago and for whom we didn't go with because it wasn't the correct shade!) and none of the linens were AT ALL the color we ordered. The other half of the linens came from the first pull we saw at the warehouse that everyone on the team already knew was incorrect. Because the event was the next morning, we are forced to use what they provided. The company should have admitted none of the linen colors would be fulfilled and refunded us on the spot. The linens they substituted from Unica are not the shades we agreed upon when we came to their showroom upon signing the contract. We specifically shopped around to showrooms in order to properly find the correct colors in person so something like this didn't happen. If they did not have the correct inventory, they should not have taken our money. This should have been communicated to us weeks ago, that inventory was an issue and not at the 11th hour before our event. This problem leaked into our rehearsal dinner, which we cut short to have to come home to let the delivery in. Although we did receive a refund for the linens, this wasn't exactly a favor - it was the least they could do. The extra compensation does not quite make up for a missed dinner and the anxiety and mess up this entire experience caused, but it was appreciated. read more

Okay I can not begin to express how thankful I am to this company and team. I worked with Ana who was a dream. The day before my wedding the company I rented chairs from and paid and full had a "burglary" and didn't have chairs. In a panic I went to Yelp and found Stuart! I emailed them, they contacted me the next day and accommodated the early delivery request. ( I needed chairs for the wedding). The drop off and pick up was seem less and I was able to not just have chairs at my wedding but chairs I wanted. And thank God I did, it rained on my wedding day so we did our first look inside and the chairs were so pretty they added to the whole look. I am so grateful for Stuart and Ana!! Customers beware! I had terrible experience with this place. I called few weeks ago and got a quote from Ana for rentals, and made my deposit. I called again today to add few items and found out they are not planning a delivery to my site. It turns out they have a minimum amount that she failed to disclose to me during our call. Had she done that I would have added few other items and met the minimum for the delivery. Now they are saying they can't even deliver at all and that I would need to go through another company "Uber like" to coordinate pick up and delivery. What adds insult to injury is the lack of professionalism when I spoke to her and Mark. First of, she was rude and cut me off while speaking. Then she would go silent for 1 minute after. And put me on long hold and forwarded me to someone even more incompetent, Mike. He was condescending and told me he was trying to " help me secure the items for my party" as if it rare commodity . He refused to hear the feedback about my experience and kept repeating himself. There was no acknowledgment of the mistake Ana did what so ever so I requested refunds. He said he won't me charge restocking fees!!! And his tone was as if he was doing me a favor. Why would there be restocking fee when nothing was moved out of stock??! Then he offered me to wait a couple of days so I don't regret this and pretty much said to call their competitors and good luck in finding those rates or securing the items. Guess what? The first rental place I called their sales person started off by telling me about their minimum to deliver to my house! Something Ana failed to do. In the end it all worked out, I got better rates with delivery. I don't foresee Stuart Rentals business lasting if the rest of the staff is like Ana and Mike. No business succeeds when they screw over their customers. read more

I think your experience with Stuart Rentals will depend on who you get on the phone. Some of the staff are really nice and friendly, others are matter of fact and no-fuss, a couple are kind of rude and don't seem to care much about customer service. I encountered a mix of them over the months when planning my wedding, but overall they delivered and we were really happy to have gone with them. Cindy Foster was our main contact and Mark also helped out, both were great. Mark was SUPER friendly. Every time I made changes to an order, they updated my invoice and sent a copy to my email. We looked at a lot of different rental companies and decided to go with them because their website was really straight forward, included prices for everything, and there were no hidden or additional fees when we received the initial quote. Our venue required us to bring everything in, so we rented chairs, tables, linens, glasses, etc - everything from them. We also had them set up/take down tables/chairs and place/remove linens. TIP: If you want to go w/ them and you get someone who does not seem to be the sharpest cat around -- call back later in the day or the next day, you will likely talk to someone who is better. Or ask for Mark or Cindy if they are around. Then have them be your contact person. If your order is less than 10k, put down a deposit to lock it in. You can get a refund if you cancel more than 30 days out (after that there are restocking fees). TIP: You can also talk to anyone who answers the phone in the future - I initially thought you have to speak only to your main contact person when you want to change something or look up availability, which means you may be waiting for a call back or reply email, which can be stressful. Actually, you can speak to whoever answers the phone and ask them to make updates for you as long as you have your invoice number (so you don't potentially miss out on an item while you're waiting for them to call you back!) TIP: I would not get lighting here, it's way more expensive than most other places I was quoted. Everything else was really well-priced and straight forward. On the day of, everything was set-up and brought in as planned. The table number holders came in a different size and we didn't end up using them (my coordinator found another clever way to place the table number cards). I spoke with Cindy about this the next day and she apologized and credited the amount back to me. Easy. -1 star because of variable customer service, although it didn't end up bothering me a ton. They also initially had a difficult time explaining what went into the timed delivery charge and same day pick up charge. After some discussion and changing the order (taking out lighting), the quote was really reasonable. + 4 stars because they were pretty much exactly what we wanted. Overall, I would recommend Stuart Rental to others who are are looking for a rental company that is no-fuss, straight-forward, and generally well-priced. read more
