Honestly I only tried the steak biscuit here, I will say it's not as salty as other places however wasn't really worth the 5$ , it was a basic steak biscuit . This place was allright- hubby and I went for breakfast and I just wasn't expecting the fast food vibe. I thought it was a regular restaurant so my expectations may be the issue here. We ordered breakfast platters (eggs, bacon, pancakes). the food was okay, the service....was ordering at the counter, but the lady was nice. All food came out in styrofoam and plastic ware. Food surprisingly very pleasant. Many people working there, but you have to bring the food to your table on your own. No biggie. But I think what is the most surprising is that there are glass stained windows near the door and near the back of the restaurant. This is your mom and pop place of Roxboro. Plenty of parking, drive thru, short menu items. We ate lunch here. Most of the items are processed food, like frozen burgers, stuff that comes out if a can. Plenty of seating inside, tables dirty thou. It's was ok but probably want be back. I got the Madison burger added cheese, extra cost, added a combo. The burger was paper thin, not much flavor. Hubby got a chili dog which he said was delicious. He also got the bbq platter with hush puppies, fries, cabbage. He said that the hush puppies tasted old from like leftovers from last night. He said his plate wasn't really that good. This place was included on the Our State magazine list of 100 things to eat in the 100 counties of North Carolina. The food item here was the Madsion Burger and Fries. Since there was a little convenience store just outside Roxboro with a killer chili dog, we decided to give them both a shot on this dreary, cool Saturday. The Madison Burger and the fries were major disappointments. It is a thick burger, but it had no flavor, and the texture was odd. The fries were limp, pasty rectangles of potato, without the slightest hint of salt, or flavor of any kind. Unless you have set a personal goal of eating each of the 100 items, I would not go near this place, at least not for these two items. The chili dog at the Roseville Grocery was, on the other hand, excellent, especially with slaw. read more

Our visit for a breakfast joint was disappointing. The smell of grease when walking in made my daughter start complaining immediately. If you are from the country then you will like the biscuits with sausage gravy. I was hoping for something a little better. My wife ordered eggs with cheese and got some tasteless scrambled eggs with something like nacho cheese on top. The place was relatively clean for a greasy type restaurant. You could sit in the booths and feel comfortable. One thing to admire whether you are a hunter or not is the enormous mounted buck over the counter. Impressive siZe animal! Ate inside, the tile floors were sticky from grease, this was in the dining area. They had sun yellowed, warped blinds on the windows that were completely covered in fly chit and dust. Having passed this place many times we finally decided to stop in for a breakfast. I was most discouraged by the staff's lack of compliance with Covid precautions. A mask was required, Yet 50% of the staff were inappropriately using their masks with the nose exposed. When this issue was brought to the attention of a supervisor, and the issue was addressed to the staff we received sidelong glances from the staff. In an attempt to have a discussion with some of the staff, we were met with argumentative feedback. I feel the staff needs education regarding the proper use and reason for COVID precautions. I visited Stuart's Grill this morning and ordered a steak egg cheese biscuit and I asked the cashier for a fresh steak to be cook and she personally told the big lady that was fixing the biscuit to cook a fresh steak and the lady takes an old precooked steak and drops in the grease and was going to give it to me ! Order was wrong, for both our burgers. Meat was iffy--it seemed almost like it had filler. Adding bacon was $2.10-but guess what? The bacon never made it on the burger. So for for two large combo burgers and a milkshake my daughter refused to eat (she loves milkshakes and I was shocked when she took a sip, shook her head, and threw itthe bill was $29 and change. I've been getting hassled by the guys at work for quite some time now to bring them in a biscuit every morning. They say beggars can't be choosers but with these yahoo's that couldn't be farther from the truth. These beggars insist on Biscuits from Stuart's. I picked up a whole bag one morning just to show some love. I decided to get various options so that I wouldn't have to hear them whine. Sausage, Country Ham, Bacon, and Steak all with Egg and Cheese. I was impressed by the size of these bad boy's. They were much larger than your standard drive-thru biscuit for sure. These sammiches weren't pretty to look at though. They were a mess... a mess In a good way. Sometimes you need to get good food all over you to truly enjoy a meal and with these you really don't have a choice. I found out they were deliciously messy. I really enjoyed it and so did the guys. They have great service and their food taste amazing. I go every week or two the get a chicken sandwich with cheese. They have the best cheese sauce in town. I sometimes will get the hotdogs with the sauce as well. I 100% recommend trying this restaurant out. Absolutely gross place. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit with extra cheese. What I got was a salty biscuit, burnt bacon, tasteless eggs COVERED with cheese sauce. Seriously? I was disgusted. My daughter got a hot dog from there once and it was pink. Her favorite color is pink and she refused to eat it.
