My experience with Stubs Dental has been an absolute nightmare from the start. I began treatment back in May, paying for an upper partial denture that never fit properly and was completely unusable. After numerous follow-ups, we requested a refund due to the poor workmanship and lack of resolution. Instead of making it right, Melissa offered me a settlement agreement that included a partial refund -- but only if I agreed to: Give up all my legal rights to pursue any further claims, Accept full responsibility for future problems even though their product was faulty, Remain silent about the entire experience, And agree to a Non-Disparagement Clause, forbidding me from leaving honest reviews or speaking negatively about them -- online or in person. I refused to sign away my rights and voice, and since then, Melissa has not returned any of my calls. It's now been months, and I still have no resolution. This kind of behavior is unacceptable from any business, especially one providing essential dental care. I was left without working teeth, out a significant amount of money, and treated like an inconvenience rather than a patient. I do not recommend Stubs Dental to anyone. 3 years ago I had implants put in and have never been satisfied. In all this I have never felt that took my issues seriously also they never offered any alternatives. I went in yesterday to have them put my temporary teeth back in. They responded very poorly and a really did a very sloppy job. In less than 24 hours 2 of the screws have already come out. I'm currently looking for someone that can undo some of the damage which has been done. read more

I really loved going to Stubbs. Everyone is so nice but when I had 2 implants put in, they put them so close that after every meal I have to remove stuck food between them. When I went into the Murray location for a cleaning, I ask the Dentist if they could fix the problem. He told me they could remove one implant for no charge. When I ask if I would receive any refund for the implant that's removed, he said no. I I don't think this was the right way for them to handle the problem I was having with the implants they sold me. So now I go to a different dentist due to the way I feel about them not standing behind their product. read more

My father went to see this dental provider. First visit went okay, Second visit was a disaster causing him significant pain, third visit to install some crowns was a waste since they forgot to call him and let him know they were not ready (he lives 200 miles from their office). They told him that they would pay him for the 4 trip out but that ended up not being the truth. While I waited for the first visit I talked with a lady who's husband had been seeing them for over a year trying to get his teeth right. Very disorganized and unprofessional office and i would highly recommend seeing someone else. The cost ended up more than what they had quoted and the service was less. I would strongly avoid this practice. If you look at the reviews they are all either 5 stars or 1 star. This would be a red flag to me and should have been to my father had he looked. read more

pathetic,i went there for a consultation and the ladies who did the x -rays were very nice. the lady who was suppose to get back to me never did and when she did get back to me after i had to call, ramble some numbers off and rushed me off the phone and text me the numbers! how ridiculous!!! they want me to spend that kinda of money and she couldn't property go over the figures with me! but text them to me instead! you lost me as a customer!!!! that is not a way of doing business! The quality of the work of the dentist and hygienists is top rate. However, the financial advisor/insurance experts are extraordinarily terrible. I have had two experiences dealing with them where they have given completely incorrect prices and did not do their due diligence. In both cases, I was given a paper that both of us signed. The price for the services doubled the first time and quadrupled the second time. In both cases it was because they failed to enter the information correctly. I have never had an appointment here I wasn't waiting at least a half hour to get seen, oftentimes more like an hour, and one time got sent away to come back later because they were too behind. I understand things come up, but this has been every single time. They should book less appointments throughout the day if they aren't able to handle it. The hygienist, although I can't remember her name was so friendly, and the only nice person I encountered on my several visits there. The dentist that saw me was unfriendly, very short, and snapped at one of the dental assistants right in front of me, which I felt was very rude. Obviously my experience was less favorable than other reviewers. I didn't not see Dr. Stubbs, my encounter was with a hygienists and the other dentist. Wait times were long, conversations with the dentist were short. I was given a treatment plan and not nearly enough information to make an informed decision. The dentist was rough and I felt like a faceless "mouth" he had to work on. I left the office in pain when I called in was only offered a dental assistant to address my issue. I prepaid for work to be done in cash which was supposedly lost somehow. I also had work done on my lower front teeth which were capped. the assistant doing the work had to chisel away material from the crown above it to get the lower caps to where they would let my mouth close. I later lost the teeth on either side of it where the lower caps had wore down the back of the teeth. When I mentioned this to them they acted like I hadn't said anything and was pretty much pushed out of the office and told I had two options. one would cost like 20,000$ and the other would be like 18,000$. Get ready for high pressure spur of the moment contract sales pitches that you would expect on a used car lot. I have paid them a lot of money over the years and I will never go back. read more

If you want to read an honest evaluation of this practice and how they treat their patients please read below: Went for a root canal and a crown on a tooth that had no pain or symptoms but had a large cavity, they placed a temporary crown which was too high and bite was never adjusted. This resulted in excruciating pain. Went back and was told that they wanted to take an x-ray to see if my tooth was okay, after looking at the x-ray I realized that they actually took a CT scan which I never authorized. (I've worked with oral surgeons in the past and can tell the difference from a simple panoramic X-ray to a CT scan and know that CT scans usually have an out-of-pocket cost) After looking at the scan Dr STUBBS told me that my tooth was "100% fractured" and that it needed to come out and told me to replace it with an implant. They quoted me about $3,000 for the implant restoration. (Keep in mind I had already paid $500 for a crown that I was never going to see). As soon as I left the office I called the oral surgeon I used to work for and he told me to go see an endodontist I went back to dr STUBBS the next day and asked them to make me a CD copy of my CT scan, Allyson who is the administrator/manager said that that was a complimentary scan and if they were to give me a copy they would have to charge me the cost of the scan which is like $300. I told her that I was never told that I was getting a CT scan and if they wanted to bill my insurance for a pano that's fine but I needed my records as I was going to get a second opinion. She said she would have to talk to the doctors but she couldn't do it at that time. I went to see Dr. Russel in Kaysville, UT who was extremely helpful. He evaluated my tooth and the temporary crown that was placed. He said that the temporary crown was the reason my tooth was hurting so bad due to the anatomical shape. I didn't get my CT scan from Dr STUBBS office so Dr Russel had to take his own CT scan (which I knew about) he took the temporary crown off and said that my tooth was absolutely not fractured. Gave me a couple prescription and sent me on my way. My tooth felt 100% better in 3 days. I called dr STUBBS office a couple days later to speak to the doctors, spoke to Dr STUBBS who was twisting his words and stumbling over them like my two year old. Finally they consented to give me a refund for the crown I payed for and never placed and also to give me a copy of my CT scan. I went to pick up the copy of my CT scan which I gave to the oral surgeon for evaluation, they said that the file was uploaded incorrectly and they weren't able to see the scan. I still haven't received my. Refund and it's been over a month. Save your money, teeth, and time and don't go here. These people will lie to your face. read more

Wednesday I had three implants and three crowns placed in my mouth by Dr. Willardson at Stubbs dental. I really like Dr. Willardson and I've always thought he's done a good job. That's why I chose to go to him. I chose to be sedated for the surgery since it was such a long invasive procedure. I was pretty out of it when I left but my husband told me that Dr. Willardson said if the pain got worse or I needed more medication to just give them a call. They had only given me a few pain pills that lasted me just the first 2 1/2 days. By day three, today, the pain is much worse. My mouth feels swollen and I now feel the pain on both sides, I guess it's I've got referred pain. Regardless of what it is it hurts like hell. I was worried about this happening so I called the office yesterday, Friday, at 3:30 to talk to somebody about getting some medication. Unfortunately they had closed at 3 o'clock. Today I have called the office three times and left messages. On the message line it says if it's urgent to press button 4 and "We'll get right back to you." I have done so and no one has returned my calls. So when they said just give us a call and we'll take care of you was that a lie? Do they really not care about their patients? do they expect us to sit here over a long three day weekend and just experience horrible pain without them even checking it out or giving us medication? I am very disappointed. I paid around $7,000.00 for the surgery and thought I deserved closer management. read more

My experience has two parts... First, after waiting in the waiting room for over 2 hours, I was finally taken back for my cleaning and exam. My cleaning went great and the hygienist was wonderful, but then as I sat in the chair waiting again (for the doctor this time) I had no choice but to leave early without an exam because I was now an hour late for work. I used to work at a dental office and know a cleaning and exam should take an hour at most. Not three. Second, since I did not get an exam and my husband had already paid while waiting for me, I asked for a refund. They told me that was no problem and it would be sent in the mail right away along with a gift card for my hassle. They seemed super apologetic and nice so I wasn't too flustered about that. But now, over a month later and multiple phone calls with assurance that my refund was on the way, I still have not received anything. Each time I call, the staff seems more and more bothered by my calls (which are only about one a week - reasonable if you ask me) which is shocking to me as I feel that they should be ultra-sympathetic by this point. The dental tech was so harsh and abrasive that my gums were bleeding. It was pretty bad. Then the dentist wanted to put on a crown and change a filling. It didn't feel like it was the right thing, so I went to one of the best dentists in Utah. He told me I did not need a crown and that I did not need my other filling replaced. He had no idea that I had just gone to Stubbs dental. To me the experience at Stubbs dental, was that this is a money making shop.
