Both separate issues but both related to the work done by Mike Bergstrom. The leaks are where he added on to our existing home, and we choose to avoid issues to not just add to the roof but completely redo the whole thing! We invested the extra money ironically hoping to have a worry free addition using all new. The first electrical issue was related to the fire detector in the room addition being installed incorrectly, so it kept going off. The second was a short in the new wiring in the kitchen addition done by Mike. When hired Mike talked a good sales pitch he promised to always stand by his work. We've tried to seek his help over the last 8 years with numerous issues undeniably related to the addition and he will not repair his work. When called a gal named Rhonda answers.... Promises to help but then ghosts you. Contacting a company you paid over $70k for should receive at a minimum a response. We reached out simply to obtain documents or proof on our roof warranty seeing that most have a 10 year warranty. We didn't want him or his team back in the home considering his work is a danger but we did want to check warranties seeing that the roof he did had leaked several times (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2025) all at the joints of the addition. Simply put..... stay away from this company, not only is the workmanship a failure but there is zero accountability and integrity from the owner.

This has been a challenging task as we have encountered contractors of all sorts, making promises only to fall short of expectations. After receiving several estimates, we decided to use Modern Decor Interior. From our initial consultation, Walter was very knowledgeable, professional and informative about the renovation that needed to take place. We decided to add a separate dwelling unit (ADU) Walter handled everything from architect to engineering dealt with city inspectors you name it or experience with stress-free and our final outcome was amazing. Walter and his team were very communicative as well as efficient and professional. Our job was completed before schedule and it's already generating revenue for us. I couldn't be happier to have found such a professional trustworthy company. Walter is amazing and patient a very knowledgeable contractor. I've already recommended Modern decor Interiors llc to a couple of colleagues and plan on using them all my future projects. These guys did not just meet my expectations. They exceeded them in every way possible! I would read them at 10 if I could to explain the whole process will take 3 to 4 pages ! We had great customer service great value overall her price was not the lowest as other estimates however it was realistic and on budget project was completed on schedule and be on our expectations. Our overall scope of work was a complete interior and exterior renovation as well as a ADU addition . My personal experience was awesome. I would highly recommend them 10 out of 10.

First I dealt with Matthew who was the project manager and completely dropped the ball on this project. A month after installation my floors started lifting and he tried to tell me it was a plumbing issue & a leak in the floor and it wasn't a floor failure. Had a plumbing inspection done and turns out there was no leak. Reached back out and he never got back to me through text or call, so I wrote an email. Then I get a text from Walter who said he's the owner and knew nothing about the project but saw there were issues & informed me Matthew no longer worked for the company. He was very on top of it, came in to look at the damages, paid me back for the plumbers to come out, told me he would make it right & fix the floors. Scheduled the floor repairs for August 9-11, tried getting ahold of him the week before he was supposed to come in. Phone is off, and never showed up to fix the floors. Even emailed the email on his business card and nothing. Completely unprofessional especially when he was so on top of it to make it right to just ghost me and never show up or even contact me. Use someone else, save yourself the hassle.
