If I could give this gas station 0 stars, I would. It doesn't deserve 1 star. We stopped out of convenience because it's right off the road, and we regretted it immediately. Right when you walk in, it smells HORRID. Then you go to the bathrooms and realize where the smell is coming from. My husband said there was literal poop all over the men's bathroom floor, stalls, etc. and majority of the toilets were clogged up and full of poop. There are two Stuckey's along I-10 in this area and this review pertains to the location on the eastbound side. It is the older location but still has its share of traffic. The parking lot is in acceptable shape, although it is showing its age. I arrived for a quick lunch and ordered from the grill. The grill sells breakfasts, burgers, and Chester's Fried Chicken. The rest of Stuckey's is a gas station/travel stop, which sells various types of kitsch catering to tourists. I ordered the cheeseburger combo, which comes with fries and a small fountain drink for $7.99. The drink fountain serves Coca Cola products. There is a seating area available if one wishes to dine inside, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to order to-go and dine in my vehicle. I was also concerned that while masks are required, social distancing did not appear to be in practice at this small location. It took about 10-15 minutes for my food to be made and after picking it up, I went to the main counter to pay. Throughout the experience, the employees seem overworked and not too friendly. While the burger was freshly made, the same cannot be said about the ingredients. The bun was on the stale side and the meat clearly did not taste fresh. On the plus side, the lettuce, onions, and pickles were fresh and did not appear wilted at all. The fries were also hot and fresh. The inadequate drink size was the final straw (no pun intended) and I wished I had gone to a fast-food restaurant instead. I did not feel like I got any value out of the $7.99 combo meal. Overall, patronizing the grill at Stuckey's should be more of an afterthought to visiting the travel center for fuel and souvenirs heading eastbound towards Louisiana, as there are better places along the interstate to stop for a meal. read more

A nice new facility, but do not be sucked in by that. It was nice, clean, and a Stuckey's with a bunch of restaurants. I did not have any food. I stopped specifically for Stuckey's merch. I "attempted" to purchase 3 pecan log rolls, some divinity, and a bumper sticker. The "cashier" rang me up for nearly $50 for this little bit of stuff. I questioned the prices. You would have thought I was asking for a kidney. I was told that the smaller bagged pecan rolls were the most expensive ones (not true), I was told that the divinity was very expensive to make (not true), and when I told her to keep all the candy I was going to get the bumper sticker but she changed the price on that to $15. I have been a lifelong Stuckey's fanatic, but this place is sad and pathetic. I have been to Stuckey's across the country. I know what the prices are. I also know when I am being taken advantage of. Stay on the road. You DO NOT need this at all. Don't stop and save yourself a paycheck. read more

Though I was surprised to see the store selling genuine Gator heads from Florida. :-o I recall thier pecan tarts that where so good. But, this store doesn't have them. :-( Hopefully, I can find some at another one. Also, this store boasts, "the cleanest restrooms in Texas". But, I beg to differ on that one. The only good thing about this Stuckey's is the fact it has a Dunkin Donuts inside. All the souvenirs are ridiculously overpriced. They have a small cafe that serves Halal meat for those who like a cleaner cut of meat, but when I ordered a hamburger and fries basket a few weeks ago, I had no idea they use ZERO seasoning. The burger was inedible. I asked for ketchup after realizing they gave me non for the fries, and they handed me ONE packet. And the bathrooms. Oof. There is always a woman in them cleaning, but the smell in that hallway is enough to knock you over. It reeks of sh*t. Can't they put up some stick'ems or something? I don't understand why the hallway to the bathroom always reeks. The stench is unbearable, yet when you get to the bathroom (at least the female bathroom), there is zero smell. The Stuckey's is owned by I believe an Indian family. The cashiers aren't very friendly. All in all, great stop for Dunkin Donuts, and hold your nose if you need to use the bathroom. read more

They have a gas station and a random assortment of things. My kid likes it since there's toys and stuff but bathrooms are not managed as well as Buccee's. It's not very clean. Toilet paper all over the floor and there's no paper towels to wipe hands with only the air blower. It's an ok stop and better than having to use a bush for the adults. My first time visiting a Stuckey's. I've always seen the first location when driving 10E from Houston. I heard of this one and while I was driving back to Houston, decided I wanted some coffee from Dunkin. I was picturing in my mind for Dunkin Donuts, Pizza Hut and whatever other else store connected with Stuckey's to have their own store front within the same shopping plaza. Nope. They're all inside, with a food court like set up. Inside reminded me a lot of Bucee's, but a lot smaller and with a lot more cheesy tourist items. Restrooms were decent, had about 6 stalls. Service wasn't all that friendly at Dunkin Donuts and the line was kind of confusing since Dunkin and Baskin Robbins were connected. I'm not sure I'll be back - I think I might just drive a couple minutes more for Bucee's! read more

Stuckey's has been around for a long time and is a scaled down version of Buccees. They have one of the best Pecan Logs, according to my husband. The place is very clean and employees are friendly and courteous. Stop by if you see a Stuckey's , it had an old time feel and is not as commercialized and hyped us like Buccees. read more

This review is for the Stuckeys on I10 eastbound toward Beaumont. Stopped today and immediately upon entering, the smell of old grease and sewer odors basically assaulted me. The restroom was so nasty and dirty. I have always loved looking at everything in the store but just couldn't handle the heavy grease and bathroom smell. There is no way I would purchase anything edible from there. I wouldn't purchase t-shirts- I am not certain you could wash the grease and sewer smells out of them. This wasn't exactly the Stuckey's I remember as a young kid traveling on vacation with my family in a 1960s model Chevrolet with the windows rolled down playing "I spy something" or counting license plates from different states while listening to AM radio, yes those days are long gone but somehow this brand that was started in the 1930s somehow has been able to survive decades of decline and return from near extinction. Back in the day this may have been the most recognized comfort station scattered along the interstate system and every kid hoped it was time for dad to pull over to top off the tank each time you spotted a billboard reminding you how far it was to the next Stuckey's. Although we were always disappointed each time one disappeared in the rear view mirror we knew there was going to be another one just up the road and we prayed dad would have enough gasoline to make it there without having to stop somewhere else, to ensure he didn't miss the opportunity we'd screaming out "there's a Stuckey's" within a split second of spotting the sign and right before the begging him to stop began, if that didn't work you could always say you really had to "go" really really bad. I'm sure we weren't fooling anyone but never the less it seemed to work. Like most things from our childhood what seemed bigger than life at the time usually turns out to be a little disappointing as we age, the same can be said of the pecan rolls and white divinity that melted in our hands as were enjoyed every bite of these sugar filled treats in the backseat of that Chevy while our parents enjoyed a few moments of peace and quite while we sucked the delicious stickiness off each finger. Although this location didn't live up to the memories from my past and I chose a plastic bottle of water over a small glass bottle of coca-cola there was enough familiar corny souvenirs and stale candy to bring a smile to my face and if a place can do that for us it's worth a stop. read more

Terrible experience. When we walked in one of the cashiers started us down with no smile or words. The store was busy, the chip isle was very disorganized and chips thrown around, what was left. I proceeded to the baskin robins inside and asked if the cookies were hard or soft cookies. The guy helping me hands me the cookie and says grab it. So i grab it and i say, yes, it's soft, that is what i want. He grabs it back from me and puts in back in the cookie case. I hope they don't let people just touch food and put it back in their counters like that. I told him i would take it so it wasn't just sitting in there after i touches it for the next person. They were very busy there as well, so much that as I'm finishing paying the cashier is helping he next person already. As we got back to the front to buy our chips, the lady who originally was starred us down, checked us out. As she was waiting for my card to process she had her arms crossed. She Never said a word, like how are you or anything. The toilets were also backed up or something. They had a guy waiting to clean them i think, but the smell was horrible. All new location on the westbound side of I-10. Very clean. Friendly staff and owner. They will have Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins (opening in a week). Already open are Chester's Chicken plus pizza, burgers, and assorted sides. Fried corn on the cob was great. Great selection of candy and souvenirs plus a huge soda and beer cooler. This is the newer Stuckey's that is on the side headed into Houston. People confuse it with the old one on the other side of 1-10. It is sad that this fairly new Stuckey's has not been open for many years, (3-4) and it is already so dirty. I have driven by for some time, but usually wait and stop at Bucee's. I don't know who the owner's are, but it is sad they are not keeping this place up, it looks very dirty inside and out now. Only half of the women's restaurant stalls in the restroom are in working order, the rest are marked out of order. The restroom was far from clean. The donuts I bought were rather stale, and the coke was $2.49 from the fountain counter. What gas station/convenience place charges that much for a fountain drink? The lady behind the counter was not friendly, and did not even say thank you or utter a word. Strange. My advice is to keep driving, the bathrooms at Bucee's are clean, large drinks are 99 cents and their gifts aren't just cheap junk. Very disappointed this place was so bad. read more

After a hellish drive through Houston, I was thrilled with the sign that said this place had Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin Donuts. Awesome. I had a sore throat, so ice cream and coffee sounded great. They lie. This is an extremely tiny rest stop. The first thing that greeted me when I entered was the pungent odor of something in the deli burning. After wandering through various tacky Tex-Mex souvenirs, I finally asked for directions to the restroom. An employee shook his head in that direction. The bathroom floor was wet and water was running down the walls. There was only one toilet working, and the seat was wet with urine. The toilet paper had unspooled to the wet floor and was also wet. There was no soap in the dispenser. I didn't see the Baskin-Robbins or Dunkin Donuts. I thought I'd get some candy to help my throat, but they had a very small selection of candy. I didn't see any coffee. This is the first time I have ever made a road stop and left without buying anything. I'm usually nicer in my reviews, but this place is a serious dump. For those who traveled (particularly as a child) through out the southern US in the last 40 years, Stuckey's likely has a place in your memory. The stores aren't as prevalent as they once were, and this location doesn't seem to hold the novelty of those that I remember from my youth-- but then, many of the things from my youth seemed to have lost some of their luster over the years. HOWEVER: you can still get all those cool Stuckey's brand candies here. And they taste just as awesome as I remember! Points for nostalgia. Beyond that, this is just a gas station that happens to be conveniently located in a place where you might really need to make a pit stop. read more

This Stuckey is located on the eastbound frontage. We stopped by to use the RR and to try out the pecan rolls. Too pricey so we got a small bite size and it had mold. I drive back and forth between Baton Rouge and Houston quite a bit. I've seen "Stuckey's" advertised in both directions on the interstate. After stopping the other day to finally check it out I'm thinking they should be spending more money on their product as opposed to advertising. The menu was EXTREMELY limited, consisting mostly of eggs, biscuits and fried chicken. Stuckey's itself is housed within a convenience store which felt worn out and smelled weird. Driving on I-10 you will see billboards advertising Stuckeys. They got me, don't let them get you. Stuckeys is nothing more than a gas station/convenience store with fried foods under a heat lamp. The restrooms aren't clean, food isn't good. There was one person working the food service area and checkout register. Who knows how long the food has been sitting out. Stuckey's could be considered the precursor to Buc-ee's and time has not been kind to the chain. While you can still get a great deal on a biscuit and eggs special, you're unlikely to find any sort of fresh food at all, and the candy was stale and disappointing.
