I chose them because they had the best rating there and the lowest price. I booked them online through U-haul, and Nick, the owner called me the same day to confirm and to go over my move. I had a simple move, but I had big pieces of furniture that I knew I needed help. Through no fault of Nick's, I had to change my move date several times because of my schedule. and each time I called Nick to let him know I needed to change, he was really sweet and patient. Finally, my move date arrived, and two guys (walter and another guy, whose name i forgot) showed up. but before they did, they called me the day of to confirm time. and then about an hour before, they called to let me know they were going to be half an hour late, which worked out well for me. and then called me 15 minutes before they arrived to let me know where they are. The backed the truck up to my door, loaded all my stuff up, drove over to my new place, and moved all the stuff in. I had labeled the boxes as to where they went, so they quickly put them where they belonged. They were also very quick about disassembling my furniture, and re-assembling my furniture. When I have to move again, I'll definitely be calling them to do it for me.

My review was long because it was a very expensive mistake that I don't want anyone else to make. The only bright spot was that the young men were courteous. Very slow, inexperienced but courteous. I've moved eight times in my life, and David's Moving Company is by far the worst I've ever encountered. 1. Total Disregard for Property: They showed no care for my belongings. During the move, they broke over $4,000 worth of items, put two holes in my brand new home, and scratched our new wood floor. 2. Unprofessional Behavior: The employees got into a literal fight in my front yard. One of them quit on the spot, and I had to personally move the rest of the furniture myself. 3. Inadequate Compensation: When I brought these issues to David's Moving Company, all they offered was a $500 claim, leaving me out at least $4,000--not including the $1,750 I paid them.
