The first company I called to move some very heavy safes ghosted me and left me in a bind. All My Sons was responsive, kept me up to date, and showed up on time ready to work. The four gentlemen were courteous, of good humour and hard working. They moved the very heavy safes with no problems. Pricing is on par with other heavy item movers. I have used "bargain" heavy movers before and you get what you pay for. I would use AMS again with no hesitation. I guess the only downside was all the paperwork. The delivery team damaged a piece of furniture. At the time of delivery, they told me the manager was already aware of the damage and was completing the necessary paperwork. Unfortunately, the claims process has been even more frustrating. My claims representative has been completely unresponsive--emails go unanswered, and I've received no communication whatsoever. This was my second time using this company. My first experience was excellent, which is why I chose them again. Sadly, this move was a huge disappointment. My experience on 07/23/26 with this company: They overpromise, underdeliver, and overcharge. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration--go with another company. A simple 4 to 5 hour (including travel of 19 miles) move for a 2-bedroom apartment turned into a completely unacceptable 7.5-hour ordeal along with a hefty final price tag. My contract specified a 26-foot truck, but they arrived with a 20-foot truck and only two movers and no sense of urgency. Much was left behind. We even offered to help speed things up, but were told it was against company policy. To make matters worse, the crew left for about 30-45 minutes in the middle of the move to return supplies to another truck. Although they wrapped furniture thoroughly, it felt excessive--especially since shrink wrap and tape are charged separately. The driver was not able to reassemble my daughter's bed because he misplaced the screws to the bed frame. Then we were forced to wait over 30 minutes still on the clock just to make payment before they would unload anything. The bossman Brandon, Baton Rouge location was unavailable, so someone else had to process the payment. Then came the final price tag--over $1,500. This is completely unreasonable for what should have been a $700 move. Only after I pushed back did they gave a 20% discount, by adjusting the labor rate, travel rate, they adjusted the hours to 6.5 hours instead of 7.5 hours, and they returned to retrieve the washer and dryer they initially left behind. I still was left with over a $1,200 bill. While they attempted to correct some mistakes, the overall experience was already a failure. Now that I'm unpacking, nearly every box labeled "fragile" has broken items inside--clearly mishandled. I've lost so many items that I eventually stopped documenting the damage. It's my fault I didn't pay for the insurance, the free insurance is a joke. I will file a claim. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would leave a 0 Star review if I could. We scheduled All My Sons to help us with the labor only, we didn't need a truck or materials. Communication was good in the days leading up to the move -- I got a good explanation of what would be involved and they even followed up the morning-of to make sure everything was in order. However, that's where communication ended. We were supposed to be the second move of the day and were told they'd show up in the early afternoon. Around 2pm, I started texting and calling, but got no response. No one picked up the phone -- I tried multiple numbers. I also waited on hold multiple times for +10min. By 4pm we decided to finish the move on our own. Thank goodness we are strong, able-bodied people. At 11am the next day, movers showed up! We were shocked, but we sent them away because we didn't need them anymore. The supervisor finally called (so people DO staff the phones on the weekends) and were confused why we didn't need them. But like anyone moving, we had a schedule we needed to maintain and couldn't just wait for them to perhaps maybe show up one day. Maybe if they had explained what was happening we could have figured out a new schedule, but they didn't so we had to go on with our lives. And the bummer is that we really needed the help. Overpriced and the movers complained the entire time during the move - what should have been a four to five hour move turned into seven excruciating hours. They took 3 hours just to wrap items. They put all my stuff on the truck, went to lunch, showed up at my new place and said "we have to tell you something youre not gonna like" and then raised the price and additional $1000.00 and said they would drive off with the truck and all my stuff if i didnt pay the extra $1,000. They also "forgot" one of my tv's but when I back to get it they had actually just stolen it. They came with no packing materials and charged for the kitchen pack they said was going to be free. Everything scratched or broken bc they didnt have materials to wrap the dishes. I wrapped them in diapers bc that was the only soft thing i had after we ran out of hand towels. They F'd the floors on the way in and the way out so i lost money from my deposits at both apartments. I called multiple people at management. They towed the company line. Do not book. Before I did I specifically asked about their ability to move a hospital bed. I did specifically inform them about the frig and freezer. At the end of a 13 hour move that should have been completed in 8 hours.... "We Dont have the tools to move your hospital bed", "we can't move your frig or freezer because there is food in them". I should have been informed before booking, I would not have wasted just over $4,700.00! So, I had to sleep on a pallet in the old home with the disabled relative until next week because they can't stay at the new house. No pictures can be taken to list the home because so much was left. My husband couldn't watch tv because the mount for it was left and GOOD LUCK FINDING THE SCREWS. it's bad enough they asked to use my tools to disassemble my bed. I should have paid attention to the other very poor reviews, but I was in a hurry. Now, I'm out of $4,700 and still have to book someone to move two beds, a frig and freezer. It wasn't great that I ordered food that needed refrigeration, thinking I would be there by lunch so I could meet with the other contractors. My review was long because it was a very expensive mistake that I don't want anyone else to make. The only bright spot was that the young men were courteous. Very slow, inexperienced but courteous. This business should not be on this platform when pro pl e are seeking service. I am filing complaints with the BBB, with the state AG( for directly misrepresenting services offered and will run this by an Atty to see if it's worth my time and effort to try and recoup dome of my money. Don't bother complaining to their office or corporation. They do not care about their customers. We had used them to move my daughter two years ago and were happy with the service. We contracted them to move her again from one apartment to another in the same complex and had a nightmare. Instead of using the truck they elected to just walk the stuff 250 feet from one apartment to another. After a couple hours they came to my daughter in the new place and said they had to leave because another team's truck broke, but there were only a few things left. They took off and my daughter walked down and found 1/4 of her stuff still in the old apartment. She called the office and they said they would have someone back out that night. They never called or showed and their office was closed. She had a deadline to be out and it was too much for her by herself so she had to call through her list of friends to find someone to help. I called them the next day to ask for a partial refund since they never completed the job. It rolled over to the corporate office. I was told the manager needed to do that and he would call me back. After five hours I called back and got the local office and was told "We're trying to get out there to and finish that". I told him it was done already and I wanted a partial refund. I was told the manager needed to do that and he would call me back. The next afternoon I called again and it rolled over to the corporate office. After 15 minutes on the phone I was told a manager was calling me right back. after a half hour of waiting I called again and got the local office again. I was again told that the manager had to take care of that and he was going to call me back. I disputed the charge with my card company. What could have been an apology and $150 off is now going to be half off and 2 months for them to collect. I have never dealt with a company that no one seems to give a damn about their customers. 1 Star - Misleading, Damaging, and Unprofessional From Start to Finish I hired All My Sons Moving & Storage (Baton Rouge) for a move on June 27, 2025, and it turned into one of the most frustrating, dishonest, and damaging service experiences I've ever had. What Was Promised: * 3 professional movers * 1 fully equipped truck * Punctual, careful, professional service * Quality assurance contact throughout the move What I Actually Got: * Only 2 movers showed up, with no prior notice. I wasn't given a chance to cancel, reschedule, or approve the change. I had to physically help disassemble and carry heavy items, which is exactly what I paid to avoid. * They were 4 hours late. Scheduled for 8:00 a.m., they didn't arrive until 12:00 p.m. -- no phone call, no update, no apology. I had to call them myself to find out where they were. * During the move, they scraped and dented the door of my brand-new refrigerator, and caused damage to nearly every wall and doorway in my house. Furniture was dragged through without care, leaving gouges and scuffs throughout the property. * I was forced to pay the full bill before my belongings were even unloaded, a requirement that appears nowhere in the contract. This felt coercive and unprofessional. * Jared Fay from the local office later claimed he had applied a $40/hour discount due to the missing mover -- supposedly dropping the rate from $189/hour to $149/hour. That was a lie. When I checked the final bill, only $20/hour had been deducted -- meaning the actual rate was $169/hour, not $149/hour as he claimed. * The reduced crew caused the move to take longer, increasing my final cost despite the so-called "discount." I paid more for less service and was misled about the pricing. * The contract also says I would be contacted by a member of the operations team throughout the move for quality assurance. That never happened. Not before, not during, not after. End Result: I paid a premium hourly rate, was shorted on labor, had to do physical work myself, had my property damaged, was misled about pricing, and was strong-armed into paying before the job was done. This was an absolutely terrible experience. We were initially impressed with the pre‑move process. The video call covered every detail, confirmed pricing, and clarified exactly what would be moved. Unfortunately, nothing about the actual move lived up to those expectations. On moving day, the team was scheduled to arrive between 8-10 AM for what was supposed to be a 4‑hour job. We received no updates and had to call twice, only to be told at 10:15 that the team was "15 minutes away." They didn't arrive until nearly 10:45. We were told a team of five would be coming, but only four showed up, and within ten minutes there was an altercation that resulted in one of them leaving. The job dragged on endlessly. At one point, the crew even told us they could not finish. My husband and son had to step in and physically help move several items. They broke our front door and never informed us. They couldn't even maneuver the truck properly. They claimed to be lost in our neighborhood for 15 minutes--despite having literally waved to me in the front yard moments earlier. When they finally arrived at the new house, several workers smelled strongly of weed. We were forced to pay before they would unload anything. They stained our fabric headboard, and again my husband and son had to help them complete the work. The move didn't finish until 6:30 PM. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They will rip you off. What a rotten company. After going through everything in my house room by room (2 bedrooms and a living room. No dining room or dinette) on the phone with Eric, he felt one truck, one day, 3 guys would work for my move. I moved 1 hour away. He even estimated it would be around $1500. I was even offered a free kitchen packing service for when they arrived on move day. They arrived 3 hours late at 11 am Saturday morning. I was still packing a few things when they got to work in the kitchen. By 3 they were still packing the very small kitchen I had packed most of and had not begun to load the truck. Since I sold my fridge I had food packed in insulated food carriers with several reusable cold packs. I was told I had to put plants, medicine, liquids and jewelry in my car, they would not take that on the truck so I could not take the food. I told them to be sure to load those boxes last to get them out first and into the new fridge. I expected them to be leaving my house around 7 pm or earlier as they told me it would take probably 5 hours to load the truck. At around 3:30 I received a call from my new apartment complex that I needed to go pick up the key to my apartment before 5 or wait until Monday. I told the guys to load everything and to please throw stuff from my hall closet and laundry room into a box to move and a friend would come by to lock up. They arrived at my apartment around 8:30. When they opened the truck, it was half empty and there were no boxes in the truck. Not even the food. They unloaded the furniture not into the correct rooms and all mixed up. I asked them to put my bed together which is part of the service. They put my mattress on the frame, no headboard. Then they left at 8 pm. I was charged approx. $2100 for that. I was told another crew would bring the rest of my stuff the next day. The next day a new crew arrived at 11 and Eric called to tell me they couldn't load unless me or whoever I got could go to the house with them. I lucked out and had a friend available and she went over. Before that, the leader of the new crew Facetimed me to show the first crew did not pack the closet or laundry as I asked. This meant they packed my kitchen (very small kitchen) for 3.5 hours and did nothing until they loaded the furniture and got to my apartment. Yep, $2100 for that. So I was royally ticked off that I had a second day of this going on. I spoke with Eric who said YES YOU WILL BE CHARGED for this day as well. That crew worked very hard. My friend was with them all day and said they were fast but careful. They got to my house around 8ish. With spoiled and rotten food. About $350 worth of frozen meats and seafood and veggies, etc. I was charged $3900 for that day. I am 71 years old and live on SS. I had to max out my one credit card that I kept at. 0 in case of a medical emergency. Then I had to pay the last $2000 out of my savings, which was the very last of my money, And I have bills coming up and can't afford groceries or my medicine. Great!!!! Since I bought the top of the line insurance I asked for reimbursement for my food. Eric told me he'd have to check with the claims office to see if food was reimbursable. What???? It was to cover all of the problems with the move and that was a big problem. It's now Monday. I waited Thursday and Friday for a call back because I requested a reimbursement for part of the move and for the loss of the food. No calls. I have tried 5 numbers for All My Sons and keep getting the same guy who keeps telling me they did not move me, I am not in their files. I cannot get anyone to answer their number from the charges on my bank statement or calls from the text messages which just go back to the guy who says he did not move me and there was no Scott or Eric that worked for them. I scheduled a 1 bedroom studio move. Moving was 28 miles from pickup. I was scheduled for 2 movers. They sent 3. I had to put $100 deposit down. I was quoted $600 top of price. 3 days prior. Jess called to advise possible $200 more. Once they got to drop off location, i had to pay $911.00 before they would unload, then told I would be credited if less than estimates. I have used 3 men in the truck before they were professional, not sketchy. Business practices are somewhat criminal because you have to pay based on estimated cost they have items and will not unload unload until you pay. I was upcharged because I was moving fron a four bedroom house . Only had 1 room studio stuff. I am a older women. I will never use this company again or recommend to anyone. AMS was very responsive setting things up for my move. Definitely got the "local family-owned business" feel which I appreciated. The two movers worked well and were professional. My reason for the three stars is what I feel was outrageous overpricing. I was told their rate is 139 an hour which began when they reached my place I was moving out of. I was literally moving one block and had very few things--a recliner, smart TV, a couple book cases and a few boxes of books--just the things to heavy for me to carry in my car. The movers did not spend more than two hours working and again to clarify, they did a good and efficient job. However, my bill was 578 dollars, which was outrageous. Two Men and a Truck had a minimum of 450 dollars. I thought that was high, which is why I went with AMS. I would have been better off with Two Men. What's done is done. I don't know how they figured the bill and am not interested in spending more time on this, but I feel the price was outrageous for them moving a small load one block. I paid and what is done is done, but I was not happy being charged what I felt was an arm and a leg for a small quick move. read more

I'm coming to the conclusion there are no good moving companies and all of them are just bad in different ways. I will start off with the 2 positive things I have to say about this company. First, the person in the office who coordinated my move was very nice and thorough. Secondly, the 3 movers they sent were also very nice and fast and hard-working. But now for all the bad and there's lots so honestly 2 stars is me being a little forgiving. The first problem was they couldn't provide me with an actual time for my move. All the could tell me was that I was the second move that day so they would call me after they finished the first move. But I was moving stuff from a storage unit, so I basically just had to sit staring at my phone all moving waiting for the call to make sure I was free and close by to meet them when they called. And when they called it was to tell me they were 15 minutes away so I still had to rush to meet them. Next, I was moving from a storage unit in Baton Rouge to an apartment in New Orleans and they decided to stop and get whataburger after loading my stuff up but before driving to New Orleans. Later he explained I was not charged for the time they were stopped and eating but I still had to wait at my apartment in New Orleans for about an hour before they arrived. Next comes the broken stuff. A wing of my extendable dining room table broke in transit. I guess that stuff happens. And I didn't say anything because confrontation paralyzes me and it's just not worth it for me personally. But what was crazy was when one of them dropped a few of my plastic bins outside in the street and I heard everything come crashing out of them. I was sitting inside and then they brought them in with the tops off and everything crammed back in not how I had originally packed it, they didn't say anything. Didn't tell me what happened. Didn't apologize. Nothing. And finally, it cost over $1K. We hired this company for a cross town move a few weeks ago. We should have hired someone else. They have very shady business practices. I was given an estimate by "Tristan" for $2500. They were moving large pieces of furniture only, no boxes, lamps, etc. I was very clear on what pieces they would be moving and he itemized it all for his estimate. He said that he had padded the estimate a little just to be safe but if they finished early any overage would be refunded. OK. The movers showed up on time and loaded the truck. I did not add anything to what they were moving but they said they would have to come back for the refrigerator and a big rug as it did not fit in their truck. At the other end, they wanted to be paid before taking anything off the truck and the amount due had increased by $500. I called Tristan who was suddenly unavailable but I did speak to a manager who said Tristan had underquoted the move and $3000 was the new price. I think it's pretty clear that this is how business is done there - underquote the move to get the job and jack the price once the furniture is on the truck. The movers themselves were friendly and hardworking with the exception of the older foreman who supervised loading the truck, collected payment and tried to pressure me into giving a review before they left. I did notice a few more dings and scuffs on the furniture than I would have expected but nothing major. Bottom line, get a few estimates from more reputable firms before bothering with this company. read more

We are in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and they told my fiance and I that they would arrive at our location at 7:30 AM CST. We get up, we start getting ready and they call us to let us know that the driver was having car trouble while coming to work and they were working on getting the truck to us. Somehow, someway, that turned into them arriving at our old apartment at 5:30 PM CST. By this time we had already gotten everything ready for them to move (we were on the third floor of a three-story walk-up) and were just waiting for them to arrive, which they did, 10 hours late. Mind you, they had bumped us to go move another customer. How we weren't prioritized seeing that we had the earlier time is lost upon me. We were quoted $159 per hour. It took them 2 1/2 hours to get everything out of the apartment, and 30 minutes to get to our new apartment, which has an elevator, so it would be an easier time than going up flights of stairs. We get to the new apartment and they tell us they have to go back to the depot. ??????? Our stuff is still on the truck. They're tired though because they had gone to move another customer before ours, remember? Also, it's going to be $1200 and not $159 x the 3 or 4 hours it was in total. So my fiance gets on the phone with the owner, whom I'm doubting was the owner, but whatever, and tries to make sense of this and they decide to talk the next day. They get our mattress off the truck, but otherwise, our stuff goes back with them. They come back the next morning and my fiance gets on the phone with the owner. I can hear him yelling and my fiance rarely yells. He talks the man down to $900 which I still think is an absolute rip-off and they unload our stuff in about an hour and 45 minutes. I just about said, "I can't believe this" 30 times this past weekend, and it continues today when I realize of all things my PlayStation 4 controller is missing. I could've misplaced it, but I'm sure I didn't. Never again. Avoid at all cost. read more

My advice, based on our son/daughter in law's recent move? Avoid All My Sons like you'd avoid the plague. Classic low balling technique pulled off by real pros. I don't use the term "pros" as a compliment. Quote, $300 but it may run more. We charge $105/hr so it'll be adjusted. Yea, to $1,789.50. Time spent on the move and travel (~40 miles total from their store, to apt, to new casa, bk to their store) about 12 hours, and that's probably being generous. Labor charge? $1,495. When asked why not $105x12, their answer, we charge for overtime after 8 hours. Never disclosed while they were selling their services. Fuel charge, for their ~ 40 miles of driving? $149.50. Total fuel had to be under 7 gallons. Why so high? "We charge fuel at 10% of labor charge". Not disclosed while they were trying to secure the contract. Materials? $145, lol. Right. Literally the worst experience I've ever had with a moving company. After careful consideration, I've realized they pay top dollar for SEO and marketing, so their company is usually the first or second option to pop up on your google search. We paid for a full move out for a home 1760sqft. It took them two days and on top of that they couldn't fit all the home inventory on the truck,which resulted in three visits to the previous property. TO BE CLEAR, I DO NOT BLAME THE EMPLOYEES, I BLAME THE LEADERSHIP/OWNERSHIP FOR NOT PROPERLY TRAINING THEIR STAFF. I'm a bonafide military kid, so I'm skilled and burnt out when it comes to packing up and moving. I've said enough awful things about this company and stupidly didn't read the "RAVE" review about this awful moving company. Here are a few pointers for customers who choose to use this company. 1. If you're doing a full moving out and they're packing up, ask that they come the day before and pack up all your stuff. Common sense, right? They expect the moving staff to pack up all the belongings and pack the truck.....that's a TON of work and honestly wasn't their strong suit or job. 2. Ask if they'll need one or two trucks and ask for their honest professional opinion. And ask again, because they'll lie to you. 3. They're going to give you an estimate, rightly fully so, but ask for a worst case scenario about the price and time it'll take to pack up. You don't want to end up paying 5K for a local move. 4. Politely demand they show up promptly at 7AM to begin work. Based on union and worker laws staff cannot work past 12 hours, Rightly so. But you don't want to end up with half of your house not packed up or furniture still dismantled. Because then you'll be subjected to sleep on the floor...with your 8 month old son. 5. Make sure they follow their word and place palate on your floors to prevent scuffs....or...you know where I'm going with this. 6. Also make sure the owners have trained their staff to properly take your coach separates apart. The last thing you need is your couch falling off the truck when they get to the second destination. 7: again if you use them, don't blame the staff, blame the ownership. Leadership starts from the top and trickles down. This company TRUTHFULLY LACKS LEADERSHIP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. 8. I really hate leaving awful reviews. It took me 3 months to write this. read more

NEVER EVER AGAIN! We were quoted for 3 men @ 139/hr. We didn't know when we would be moving but they said as long as we pay the deposit the date didn't matter. Date of move comes and we get 2 men and they wanted to charge 149/ hr. We call and they say that's the going rate because it was busy season. This was never told to us! I don't play about money and this really pissed me off! DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I would much rather get some of my friends to help my move for pizza and a few beers. read more

Simple advice. Bypass the 5 star reviews and go straight to the 1 stars. This will most likely be your experience if you use this company. Terry, Renard, Bobby, Bryson, & Malik were GREAT! Professional, respectful, courteous, hard-working! They showed up on time and worked so hard! Would highly recommend this crew!! HOWEVER... they put my things in a storage unit and when delivered to my new home, MOST of my furniture was damaged!! I had more damaged than not!!!!!! Extremely disgusted especially given the amount of money I spent to have it moved "professionally"! I stopped taking pictures after the 200th pic and was STILL not done capturing the damage!! read more

This company quoted me $225 to move a couch and loveseat, with a $100 deposit. After I paid the deposit I received a call from the company stating that the price was actually $500+. I chose not to pay that much, was told that it would be at least 5 days before my deposit would be refunded. I stated that this is not a good way to run a business and that I would leave a review detailing what happened. The office manager proceeded to hang up on me.
