I've gone to other barre classes but I find the instructors in TDM-Burlingame helpful and gentle. They assist with variations especially if you're new and they continue to assist and readjust even if you're a regular. After doing TDM for a year, taking a couple of years off and returning in February 2013, I must say I am more in love with TDM than ever. The women there welcomed me back with smiles and hugs, and once again exercising was so much fun! Don't get me wrong, this is one challenging workout, but the results and sense of community are so worth it. I feel so strong and comfortable in my body. Cardio is a breeze when I do it along with TDM. I have also been to a few other barre classes and, TDM is by far the best. Not only do you get an amazing full body workout you also get an anatomy class from the well informed and dedicated instructors. I love the daily method!!!!! You see results so quick if you go at least 3x a week of course. If you are out of shape you will be huffing and puffing for sure. My advice to you is keep coming ...trust me. It hurts so good when people start complementing your killer arms. Every teacher is so nice and down to earth. Very chill and relaxed vibe. I have tried other studios very similar to the daily method. It kicked my ass too but I felt very out of place. The only con with the daily is it is really pricey to take classes here if your of a certain income. I can't go as much as I want to because of that reason. I would go every day if it was a few dollars cheaper. I also love that they play music that I like and music that my mom would like. I heart the daily!!! read more

As a devoted client of The Dailey Method for over 6 years now, I have found a new appreciation and love for this practice. I began taking classes at the Menlo Park studio six years ago. I instantly fell in love with the classes and became a loyal client. Over the years, the energy at the studio changed and made me want to reconsider TDM, until I took a class at the Burlingame studio from Laurie. What a difference! I can't not say enough nice things about Laure and her team in Burlingame. I walk into the stdio to smiling faces and kind greetings. The classes are fantastic and challenging. This barre studio has been my home barre studio for almost 6 years. The core work is like no other barre studio! The teachers really push you to your limit. I have witnessed positive changes in my body since starting barre here at The Dailey Method, Burlingame. I'm stronger, more toned, and even thinned out! Cardio interval classes are also available if you wanna get your cardio fix. There's also a ton of free street parking, and a shower available if you are always on the go like me! Very convenient. The Dailey Method is a total workout without running for hours on a treadmill. I wasn't sure if I could do the exercises but it's a pretty self paced class where you are pushed to your limit .. the arm and ab exercises are torture but really work. I can see the difference in my overall flexibility and strength. I love how the classes combine yoga, pilates, weights and barre work. The Sunday classes with Missy are my favorite! read more

I chose The Dailey Method based on the great reviews on Yelp and the proximity to where I live. I signed up for the New Client 1-Month Unlimited and attended classes daily from M-F (gave myself a break on the weekend) and after the month was up, I definitely noticed my muscles were more toned and my waist had become smaller. My flexibility and posture also improved. I like this type of class because it's 1 hour of nonstop exercise and then you're done and can feel positive about getting that workout in. All the instructors are friendly and encouraging and in amazing shape, which is great motivation to push through the "final hold" that they always throw in there. read more

I've taken many barre classes at many studios and The Dailey Method is by far the best! The Burlingame studio is especially wonderful...the focus on alignment and attention to body positioning is at the forefront of every class. Instructors pay attention, correct and guide all student throughout every class. I'm so happy I have found a healthy, satisfying and sustainable practice I can do every day and for many more years without risking injury and burnout. The variety of classes offers a well rounded routine...everything from "back to basics" to an intense cardio class and everything in between. My favorite indulgence is a cardio class followed immediately by a basics class which allows me to slow down, focus and work out the days kinks. I highly recommend. It's been a year since I wrote my review, and I am still loving these classes. I've tried some other studios for more local options because it's a bit of a schlep to get to Burlingame from where I live. It seems that nothing can beat TDM for fast results and a nice euphoric post-workout buzz. I'm hooked. I love how my body feels and looks. Even when I'm away for a while I can come back and the muscle memory and deep strength I've developed over the last year and a half or so kick into gear pretty quickly. Within a couple of weeks I'm feeling strong, flexible, and sexy again. I'd recommend this to anyone of any age. If you are in your 40s or more, I've noticed that the 11am classes on weekdays are very much populated with those of us dedicated to building strength and great posture even in our middle and older years. Evenings and weekends seem to bring in more young women. There are frequently many WOC in the studio, which may reflect a studio ethic that values and appreciates diversity. read more

The teachers are very good, but the administrative part of the membership is a pain. I have canceled the membership two months ago and was charged two months in a row for the membership I do not have. The owner takes weeks (literally) to respond to emails and no one is available to answer questions or address issues over the phone. read more

I have been obsessed with Dailey Method ever since I lived in the city and attended the Cow Hollow location. I was super sad when I moved back to the burbs, and had to resign myself to attending the one in Menlo Park, which is totally not up to par. I almost decided to give up my obsession with the classes, which would have hurt my body image, but probably would have been a good thing for my wallet (: Then I decided to switch to Burlingame and was back in-love. Laurie, the owner of this branch is an incredible teacher, just as many of the other instructors there are. I leave barely able to move, just like I used to at Cow Hollow. These are some hard-core, ass-kicking, drill-sergeant like, yoga and ballet inspired instructors who will make your legs, butt, and core shake with that incredibly wonderful pain that only an intense work-out can induce. I try and take Laurie whenever my schedule allows, but other teachers are very good and won't dissapoint. I just especially love her style. One time, durring an incredibly challenging manuver that had me ready to pass out, she threw in there, "And now, flatten your back and keep it steady, as if you have your afternoon martini glass balencing on your back." I decided to get over my fear of the unknown and take a class at the Dailey Method. I live close by and have always wanted to inquire about classes, but I was a member at 24 hour and figured I would just go there-wrong-24 hour's class schedule has not been in line with my work schedule. My fiancé and I have been doing T25 videos with success but I wanted a change, so that is why I came to Dailey method finally! The facility is very nice. I was impressed with the amenities provided from the lockers to the mats and water, everything was clean and plenty of it. The instructor, Kelly, was really fantastic. She took the time to give me feedback and corrections which I appreciated as I was trying to learn all the new moves. When they did this crazy wall sit leg up exercise thing, she kindly came over to me and helped give me stretching tips. I was sweating within the first 10 minutes but it felt good! The music was great and kept my mind occupied. The class is really well planned and though it was crowded it never felt too crowded. Like I said before, I was impressed with the clean equipment. I am very sore two days after the class but I am going again tomorrow! So obvi that says something! I took one star away because yes it is pricey, which is probably why the housewives of burlingame are the primary students here, but I figure, the best investment I can make is one of my health so I plan on continuing my dailey method career! read more

The best kind of pain is one you can bear through and keep coming back for more. That's how I feel after every one of my Dailey Method classes. I've only gone 5 times now, and I still have a long way to go as far as flexibility and stamina goes. I have a number of injuries from car accidents and such, so this class is great at letting me use my own body weight and resistance to push myself without straining the injuries. I suggest going to one first ($20/visit) and trying it for yourself. I liked it so much i signed up for the new $100/unlimited for one month deal. read more

I've tried a lot of different exercise styles and consider myself to be very fit. I tried the one-month unlimited membership and found The Dailey Method to just not be intense or challenging enough for me. I did enjoy some of the exercises, but I can't imagine this being your only form of exercise. But given the expense of classes, how can you join a gym and supplement with these? After two babies, I was ready to get my body back. I had heard good things about Dailey Method from friends who became addicted to the workout. I didn't really know what to expect but I'm loving it so far and have been to about 6 classes. I think I still need to supplement with cardio but the class definitely gets my heart rate up and gets me sweating. The thigh work is the hardest for me and my muscles are shaking before finishing even the first exercise! As another reviewer said, it does feel torturous but worth it as the instructors have amazing bodies and the focus on strengthening and lengthening muscles makes sense to me. I really needed to get core strength back as I had little to no ab muscle after two pregnancies. As others say, it is pricey but no more so than yoga. Plus, I am motivated to go to this class versus sitting on my gym membership which goes to waste. The Burlingame facility meets my needs - it is clean, great location with plenty of parking and I love the 6am workout that gives me enough time to shower, get dressed AND get my kids ready before heading to work. read more
