Well Yelp friends.... 2 weeks later and I'm still not 100%. That's what a Vitalize peel does to you.. it takes you at least a week to sort of heal. A week of uncomfortable burning, peeling, itching non-stop and not sleeping. I had no idea I signed up for such an intense treatment. Perhaps my skin is just a bit more sensitive than most, that was a risk I took but I am disappointed in the lack of follow up from Dr.Walter even after I reached out to let her know I was having a tough time healing. The space itself is nice and it's very close to my apartment so I'm sad I will likely not be back for any other services. Judy was lovely and made setting up an appointment so easy. Just be aware of this particular service, I certainly learned my lesson the hard way :( read more

Grace is a skin magician, and has been keeping me looking young for over 2 years now. She has transformed my skin, which is why I followed her to Studio 17. The studio is a pretty far walk from my apartment, but I wouldn't trust my skin with anyone else! She always takes her time to assess my skin, give me advice, and provide a customized facial, leaving my skin clear and glowing! I never feel rushed, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. Aside from working wonders on my face, Grace is such a wonderful and sweet human, and she always makes me feel relaxed, pampered, and beautiful. You can tell that Grace cares about you and does what's best for your skin, rather than trying to upsell you on things you don't need (like a lot of other studios in Hoboken). Take one look at Grace, and you'll see the most flawless skin you've ever seen - kind of hard to tell right now through the face masks + face shield, but I know her pre-Covid, so take my word for it! Speaking of Covid, the studio has taken every precaution to make me feel extremely comfortable (takes temperature at the door, has air purifiers with a UV light, there's hand sanitizer everywhere plus hand sanitizing multiple times throughout the facial, and the studio is only seeing one customer at a time). I've gotten lip flip done 2 weeks ago and the results were absolutely nothing. The purpose of the lip flip was to get rid of the gummy smile and I still have the gummy smile not only that I now have an issue sipping from a straw, even sipping from a cup and difficulty when gargling. I first visited Studio 17 in February of 2022 wanting to explore botox for my forehead in preparation for my wedding. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect or if I even wanted to leave with the Botox but nurse Chelsea helped me through the whole process. Chelsea is knowledgeable, understanding, patient, and she will walk you through any and every question you have. She is thorough in explaining why you are getting injected in certain areas, how the Botox typically settles, and she checks in on you to ensure you are feeling and looking your best after the fact. I cannot rave enough about her - if you are contemplating, get on her schedule now and at least have the conversation! Update: This place is still as amazing as my first visit! I've gone in for a few more sessions of Botox and each time it's fantastic! I also just got microneedling done and it was great! Dr. Walter is an angel sent from the beauty gods. Not only is she knowledgeable about her craft, she does everything she can to make you feel COMPLETELY comfortable. The office takes all possible precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19--it's so clean it's practically glowing! Like many of us in quarantine, I may have spent too much time making faces in the mirror. I booked an appointment a month in advance, but couldn't really decide on what I wanted--I just knew what I didn't like. I suffered from Bell's Palsy last year, which left one side of my face more muscular. Right off the bat, Dr. Walter was kind, open and honest. She explained that tiny amount of filler in the cheeks could even out the visual imbalance, and that I needed wait on Botox until the movement improved. I know I can count on her to be real with me! After the filler settled, I noticed my face was finally moving more symmetrically--which gave me a real confidence boost. Made my next appointment after looking through old photos and doing a ton of research--and MY GOODNESS. BEST DECISION EVER! It's been about 3 weeks, and I honestly feel like a million dollars. Dr. Walters is SO patient and receptive! She talked me through every option, and made sure I was comfortable with the cost. I can't tell you how much I appreciate her transparency and willingness to work with my budget, as aesthetic treatments are not cheap. She told me, "it's YOUR FACE, after all. It's the first thing people see, and you should feel great about it." She walked me through every phase of each treatment. "First, you're going to love your swollen lips. Then the next day you're going to google how to dissolve filler. Then, the swelling will go down, and look exactly how you wanted." She was right. I still had about a half a syringe of filler left and she was kind enough to keep it for a week, in case I wanted to use the rest. The results nearly had me in happy tears! I haven't felt this beautiful in a while--and I have her to thank. You can tell she really cares. If you want to enhance your natural beauty, there's no one greater than Dr. Walter. This place is awesome. Dr Walter and Judy made me feel so comfortable and welcome when I first went to Studio 17 for my consultation. I've always had a case of resting bitch face and my eleven lines were starting to get worse so I wanted to explore Botox. Dr Walter took the time to discuss my skin care regimen and how to improve it, then developed an action plan to help me get the results I'm looking for without going overboard. She mapped my face and I left my consultation feeling informed and excited about the procedure. She provides you with multiple treatment options, explains exactly what each of them are, and suggests is the most beneficial one for you regarding your skin type and lifestyle. What I love most about Dr. Walter (besides the fact that she's super awesome and I would totally drink a bottle of champ with her) is that she doesn't push product or treatments on you. She actually advises you to hold off if she truly doesn't think the time is right, providing you with a better alternative and finding the root of the problem, what causes it and how to fix it. That to me shows how passionate she is about making sure her patient's satisfaction is her top priority, and not just making a couple of extra bucks. Dr. Walters is AMAZING. She was my OBGYN prior to getting Botox with her for the first time this week. As someone who has had botox several times, experience and knowledge of the muscles in the face is huge in terms of the result you'll get. I felt really comfortable going to her for Botox given she is a physician by trade and did such a fantastic job taking care of me through my pregnancy and birth. The results from the Botox are fantastic. She knows exactly where to inject to get the best result. I was also really pleasantly surprised to find that they are priced very aggressively for Botox. I used to pay 200-300 more at another studio for a non-MD to give the injections with results that just weren't as good. I can't wait to go back to try the vampire facial and some of the peels. I was a first timer and kind of nervous, but was comfortable checking in with Ashley. I was having my lips injected, so first she applied a numbing cream while I waited. Following that I met with Dr. Walter, we discussed my concerns, she answered questions, and then it was time to get injected. I would like to thank Dr. Walter and her amazing staff for the incredible procedures I have had done in her boutique wellness studio recently. I wasn't expecting to love the Vampire Facial's results as much as I did after the recovery period. One of the first things I noticed that changed was the pigmentation on my cheeks from sun damage significantly decreased. The build-up lines on my cheekbones is smooth. I'm happy with the results and will definitely be doing this again to keep my skin looking fresh and glowing. I am already loving the texture of the Ulthera treatment beneath my skin.
