A representative said that Dr. Wiederkehr is no longer "in-network" with United Healthcare even though he is listed as in-network on the UnitedHealthcare website - she said that must be a mistake. Nevertheless, the receptionists answered calls quickly and were very informative. But, it would be great if they would update their website with all this information to save everyone's time - I spent a lot of time researching only to hit dead-ends. Due to these roadblocks, I was not able to book an appointment with any in-network dermatologist at this business.

I visited Dr Ginsberg a year ago for a small amount of botox and filler (I had previously had both in modest amounts for a natural look administered by board certified plastic surgeon). I explained my problem areas/concerns, what I had done in the past, then left it to Dr Ginsberg to make his recommendation. He suggested botox and filler under my eyes (which I had never done before) in addition to the usual locations. I trusted his advice and went ahead with it. Within a couple of days, the results were shocking. I had deep, wavy smile lines in my cheeks that were never there before and extremely alarming. Worse still, it was asymmetrical. The effect under my eyes made me look like a different person. Needless to say, I was panicking, having never asked for or experienced this before. I came back to the clinic, where Dr Ginsberg took zero responsibility for the poor results and instead explained how it was all due to MY face/muscles/tolerance etc etc. He dissolved what he could to undo the deep lines on my cheeks and under-eye filler. I left more than a little freaked out and $3k lighter for the experience. I never received any follow up or check in from Dr Ginsberg or the clinic. Zero... Until the 1 year anniversary of this experience where they called me to let me know I was probably due to come back and spend more money with them. No thanks. I get that results differ and it's not an exact science, but admit when you get it wrong. All he had to say was something along the lines of, "it clearly hasn't done what we had hoped / this isn't what it should look like / I'm sorry about the result", then show some duty of care post-visit. But, blaming me for the result, taking my money and then never following up was unprofessional and insulting.

The front desk ladies (so sorry I didn't catch your names!) were super friendly and informative. They let you know of other packages and savings, but obviously if it's not something you want, don't do it. Lauren who did the actual laser was also so nice and we chatted the whole time which also made me feel more comfortable. She did frequent check ins to see how I was feeling. For 99% of the areas I got done (full legs, full Brazilian, armpits, and happy trail) it just felt like cold air being blasted on you. The other 1% was the more sensitive areas of the Brazilian and like one inch on the shins, and it really just felt like little pin pricks- not bad at all. Keep in mind everyone has a different pain tolerance though. If you submit a request online for more info, yes, a salesperson will call you. Yes, their job is to get business. But if you decide it's not the time for you, you absolutely can say no (I didn't, cause I wanted it!!). Read the contract, pay the full amount in time (or before!!) and you'll be fine. As far as results, I will have to update my review since it was my only first time, but I can say the place is clean and chic, and my skin actually feels a lot smoother walking out than it did walking in. Again, this review is based only on my first visit, but I'm excited to go back in 6 weeks for round 2! (Also the "reviews not currently recommended" are helpful. When I realized I had been misled and canceled after one session, they retaliated with extreme financial penalties. Instead of a fair package rate, they retroactively charged me $1,247 for that single visit--a nearly 300% markup meant to confiscate my refund and punish me for leaving. This business model is predatory and unsafe. They use unqualified sales staff to "play doctor" and then use deceptive "list prices" to trap you financially if you try to leave. I have filed formal complaints against this facility with the NJ Board of Medical Examiners for the unauthorized practice of medicine, NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and Attorney General for price gouging. Do not trust them with your skin or your wallet. Avoid at all costs.

I've been seeing him at Pura Dermatology for probably 7 or 8 years now. I keep coming back every year, and will be before either I move out of the tristate or he does. He's solved basically every skin issue I've brought to him including some stuff that other dermatologists couldn't figure out. Beyond being a great doctor he's also just someone I actually enjoy seeing, which I'd wager is rare feat for a doctor. Overall I recommend him highly.
