Chad is one of the best stylists I have ever had. I first went to him in Tampa Fl. When I would fly in to visit my sister, she would make an appointment for me with Chad. She had used him for ever and loved his cuts. When I heard he was moving to the Bay Area I was ecstatic! I drive 2.5 hours for my hair cut by Chad ever 5 weeks. Yes it's worth the money in gas, my time, and the cost of my cut. A great haircut is priceless!! My Sister now flys in to visit me and it's off to see Chad for her hair cut. Ha! read more

It has a small town kind of retro feel,which is great in our little fancy town... Tomi was and will continue to be my stylist. I had been desperately seeking a hip, reasonably priced, gifted hair stylist in Marin, as I moved over the GGB in Fall 2014, but had been dragging myself back into the Tenderloin to see my trendy go-to girl - whom I adore, due to lack of success in my hunt; however, that was getting a bit old, like me. Along came Kwandee - who came highly recommended to me from a friend. I was SO excited to hear he worked in Larkspur! This review is sOOOO LONG overdue! I've since seen him @3 times, and each time, I have left with a look I love, and one that lasts ---aka grows out well! THAT, I feel, is a sign of a truly skilled stylist. Most recently, Kwandee helped me by cutting off my hair so I could donate it to Children with Hair Loss, and semi faux hawk what remained. I find him super laid back, with that perfect balance of chatting enough to create a comfortable relationship, yet not overly chatty, leaving me time to zone out (part of the joy I find in getting my hair done), while he remains focused on his creation, which I appreciate! I can relax, because I trust him with my hair--which is a lot coming from me, given I can be pretty picky and controlling about how I want it. He's professional and confident, seeking honest feedback to ensure I'm satisfied, easily handling my assertive requests to modify anything if I feel that preference. I can not recommend him enough. Truth be told, I hesitated to post a review, because I don't want him to end up so booked that I'm unable to get in; however, in living from a more abundant and grateful perspective, I want others to experience Kwandee's gift. I knew nothing about her, but I liked her voice and enthusiasm, so made an appointment. I have been to her twice now, and I can say, without hesitation, that she is fantastic at listening to what you want and doing exactly what you asked for to perfection. She also is great with color. I had messed up my color by trying to do it myself while salons were closed, and she got it back to looking great. I came here because of other review's on Yelp and the recomendation of a friend. I was verry impressed Baileys's work, she is skilled and pays attention to what your needs are. The location of the sudio is in a verry cozy part of larkspur and is on the same street as Left Bank. I was in dire need of something new done with my hair that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg, which this salon did not. The woman who were there seemed nice and friendly and happy to be there. I have been going to Elke at Studio 4 for many years. She has always done a great job. She always listens to exactly what I want and also offers her own advice when needed. I know she attends specialized training whenever she can and has inspired me to try different things at times. My hair always turns out great. My hair is not easy to deal with but, Elke has always found a way. She's also a fun person to be around and always interesting to talk to. Great salon. You do need to find the stylist that is right for you. I see Melina and get compliments on my color and cut regularly. I even have to keep some extra business cards because people ask me for them! I love it because Melina is willing to work with me on my whims and ideas to change things and sometimes "go a little wild" and then change it all over again when I need an update! She is very creative and quite skilled with the shears! I know she and some of her colleagues takes seminars with famous hair stylists and get "hands on" education and come back even more savvy and updated. I am always impressed with my look. She does great color and is open to explore and seek out ways to make my vision reality. She gives a great cut. I have short hair which is often hard to give a new look and style. I've struggled my entire life with a head of straight hair that has seven cowlick's. No matter what I would do, it would be standing up somewhere unless I let it grow really long.
