Very sketchy place, did not like the unsafe vibe. Dead bugs in the lobby, paper thin walls, funky smell.

By far the worst Hilton and frankly the worst hotel I've stayed in. Once you walk past the entrance…read moreit is extremely outdated. The first room I was in had a broken AC stuck at 71 and they wouldn't answer the phone when I called, so I had to walk down to the front desk where we had to argue with the front desk employee to be moved into a room with working AC because he wanted us to wait for someone to come check on it instead of moving us to we could sleep at 11pm. That same night they were hosting a prom which made it impossible to leave and very hard to even enter due to the cars parking in the circle outside of it. The parking garage attached, which we paid to park in, was filled with highschoolers throwing trash and driving recklessly through it. We had asked for housekeeping 3 times and no one ever came, to which the front desk told us, they won't do it unless we are in the room. I had to ask for towels 4 times over 12 hours for anyone to bring them to the room. Our last night, the AC in the room we were moved to began to stop working as well and it became extremely hot. The elevators are also extremely slow.

As far as Hilton's go, this one could use some help. Getting to it is smidge confusing if you're…read morenot very familiar with the area. It's right off of Rte 18 in East Brunswick. No street parking, garage parking only. I'm not a fan of parking garages and this one did nothing to ease that creepy uneasy feeling I always get when I have to park in one alone. Thankfully it wasn't very full so I was able to park relatively close to the exit. Once inside the immediate interior is open with good lighting and a waterfall. Some might find it a bit dated but I thought it was fairly nice. Front desk personnel was friendly and check-in was done pretty quickly. What I didn't like was finding out about the $17 charge for parking. I guess that's basically the going rate for parking in the area but I still find parking deck charges ridiculous. For my budget minded peeps, there's also a $50 hold on your card for incidentals. The elevators weren't the best looking things but they worked and got me to the 8th floor. The room was mediocre at best. I expected more from a Hilton. I guess Paris is the only one who gets those gorgeous rooms they always show on their commercials. I was VERY happy that I had booked on a discount site and wasn't charged full price. Now for the room details. The covering on the side wall light fixture was falling off. I tried to straighten it back up but it was too loose. I didn't want to cause any further damage so I left it. The furniture was older with obvious wear in some places. The paintings on the wall had a slight creepy look to them. The bathroom had rust along the doors, the tub had obvious wear spots, weird 'substance' on the wall and the light switch fell off when I went to turn the light off. I was able to place it back on the wall but I couldn't turn the light off at all. I slept with it on all night. It didn't bother me but I hate the thought of wasting electricity for no reason. The AC was slightly loud and would make a sound that reminded me of a small dog bark. Not terribly loud but definitely a sound. It did startle me awake at one point but all in all I was able to sleep. Bed was comfortable enough, though on the soft side...kind of pillow top-ish. I prefer a more firm bed but those who like soft ones, should like the beds. The room didn't have a microwave but did have a fridge. I definitely wished I had my Lysol spray that I usually carry to spray down hotel surfaces. Unfortunately this was a last minute booking due to exhaustion after a very frustrating day so I didn't have any of my hotel clean up items. I stopped by their restaurant (Blossom) but there really wasn't anything on the limited menu that I wanted to try. Having read some of the other reviews, I didn't want to pay $24 for a Poke bowl that sucked. Thankfully I had some chicken chow mein left over from lunch. Unfortunately since there are no microwaves in the rooms (or at least my 8th fl room), I had to go down to the lobby to use the apparently single microwave in the hotel. It's right there in the lobby. Why not at least have a microwave near the elevators on each floor? All in all, in a pinch and with another booking deal, I'd stay here again. Given a choice of another comparable hotel at the same price, I'd try the other hotel. It wasn't terrible, but when you expect more from a place the disappointment can be all you need to look elsewhere.

On the third day, the bride and groom are dressed in traditional and eleborate red garments. Wedding vows are exchanged with the Holy Koran held over the bride's head. The paperwork is signed in front of an Islamic priest and guests. At the end of the night, the bride and groom host their first dinner (reception) as husband and wife. We were present on the third day of their celebration. The bride looked absolutely gorgeous! She was dressed dripping with jewels. I love the lavish jewelry, intricate bead work and embroidery that adorns her sari and veil. The opening of the ceremony consist of prayers, singing, and formal portraits taken with the bride & groom at the center stage. An open buffet of appetizers- tandoori wings, chutney and dressings, chickpeas salad and paan (Indian bread) was served along with coffee and tea. Stations include tiki chicken masala (chicken curry finished with cream sauce), yellow chicken curry, goat curry, bastimi rice with peas, pann, roti, samosas (indian puffy appetizer filled with potatoes and vegetables), chickpeas, salad, and condiments. For dessert, sweet potato Indian pudding and strawberry icecream with fruit seeds. The waitstaff immediately cleared dishes and utensils off the table. Clean napkins were distributed frequently. Later, in the evening the room featured a dance floor with the DJ and MC. The guests were pretty amazing with their dancing w/o any alcohol. Overall, the reception held in the conference room was very spaceous and accomodating. The facility was neatly kept and clean.

Nevertheless my questions were answered and I felt comfortable being able to ask them anything. I would also say that although you have to pay for simple items like toothbrush and tooth paste not to mention even shampoo, I'd say that since they are near a dollar tree and Walmart that you can easily avoid using the vending machine unless absolutely necessary. Overall I wish that there was less third party business transactions but for what it's worth, if you need somewhere to crash and are considering a long term stay at studio 6, this is the place to check out first so you can get a idea of how things will go or if you are like me and driving over 40 minutes for work with car trouble and staying there is cheaper than the alternative than this is a good pick too. I have to touch base on what someone else mentioned the floors they have here are a shining example of how floors should be in every motel, my hallway section didn't smell either but I can't say the same for the other side ha ha, in that regard it can be hit or miss. The shower was small so small that I bumped my head getting in one day but that shower is bigger and cleaner than certain places and the place wasn't crawling with bugs and even has a laundry room that you pay for, it has it's trade offs but out of all the motels I have been to thus far it is definitely a go to so far!
