Staying 2 nights, in town for business. This is an older courtyard. Older rooms and bathrooms. Not dirty but old. 1 elevator doesn't work and the other elevator is super slow. That's annoying. Tv in the room is super small. In a 2 queen room and the 2nd bed can't see the tv because the bureau is too big. Bathtub/shower is old. Probably last time I'm here. Will try to find a newer courtyard. read more

The rooms were wonderful and the bed very very comfortable. Love the sofa and the Ottoman it was an Excellent lounging area. The hotel lobby was very nice, great amenities, but we didn't take advantage of them. Hotel Conveniently located to everything we needed to do & the front desk staff were all great. Breakfast was definitely overpriced, but it hit the spot. Suggestion: you might want to bring your own toilet paper. The toilet paper in the hotel is SO HARD you could write a letter on it & not tear it LOL!!! Seriously, save your butt and bring your own! Otherwise a fantastic stay and will return! read more

Stayed at the Courtyard Ewing Princeton and had to shout out Justin for his amazing service! Not only was he super helpful, but he also doubled as our shuttle driver and made sure we were taken care. Friendly, professional, and just good vibes all around. The front desk team was also great--fast, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. We wanted to give this place another chance, and it was still a disappointment. Room was not cleaned again. They asked when we checked in if we would like it cleaned and I said Yes. Called the next day to confirm if someone was going to come and they said Yes. Never happened throughout our stay. The air conditioner/heater was so noisy. Shower light did not work, and dogs in other rooms barking kept us up. We even tried to go to the gym in the hotel. One treadmill worked, TV did not work, and elliptical did not work either. We visited in one night before travelling to Philadelphia. The night staff was very helpful in making a slight adjustment to the room without disagreement and allowing an additional hour for late checkout. We also had a good experience with Dan (Starbucks) who supplied us with additional coffee for our daughters who woke up after the counter closed. This hotel is really nice - from the lobby and modern & clean rooms to the pool & free continental breakfast. Second time here and still liked it just as much as my first impression. Our room was clean, boasted a nice easy-to-work TV and had the usual amenities. The room set up is really nice (see pix!) and the water pressure stays strong and hot while you shower. Towels o'plenty and the noise level wasn't bad at all, despite being on the street side this trip. I look forward to our next stay :) read more

The hotel was a nice stay. Clean for the most part! I didn't seem to have any issues. Airport Shuttle is located across the street from airport. Van says Springhill on the side. Free Breakfast: Yes. Crew members gets coffee or tea, juice, oatmeal of generous size and 1 bakery item. Coffee is Starbucks. Crew Discounts: 20% food only. Like most hotels, drinks are expensive. Fridge: yes Microwave in the lobby. Propane BBQ grill on back patio. Front desk says we can use it. Not at all what I expected... To start the grumpy aggressive older guy at check-in could avoid issues if he listen first before speaking... The Marriott website states restaurant in the hotel but it's actually more like a snack bar (didn't waste my time)... The king room is very small with a awkward layout... The ice machine on my floor wasn't working and no one answered the house phone when trying to report the issue... None of the trash cans on the room had liners. On the plus side I will say the mattress was very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of towels. As I write this review at 9am I get a knock on the door by housekeeping although I have a "Do Not Disturb" hanging and check-out isn't until 12pm... Why are you bothering me or even checking to see if I'm still here... I'm it happy at all. Overall I don't think I would stay here again. read more

I will not stay here again. This is a poorly managed property, not worthy of the Marriot name. My experience included: 1. Waiting 15 minutes for a front desk person to show up at 7:00am. she had apparently been working out in the gym and there was nobody else to cover the front desk. 2. One of two elevators were out of service, making for long waits to get to my floor. 3. They forgot to take my credit card at check-in (I assumed they were using the one on file). so they woke me at 10:30pm the night before I checked out with a panicked call from the front desk asking would I please come down and let them run the credit card? 4. The "restaurant" is barely a snack bar. Much of the food in the display case was out of date. 5. The rooms are dingy, with outlets broken and lights not working. 6. The room number pasted on the phone in the room was the wrong room number, which can be a problem in an emergency. I would recommend avoiding this property read more

Typical Courtyard Marriott in most ways. I found the staff especially friendly and helpful, and liked the layout of my king room. I also thought the food in the lobby was particularly good for a Courtyard, and appreciated that calorie counts were on the menu (although my colleague and I agreed that the low calorie listing for the breakfast sandwich we both ordered was probably super wrong based on the size and sheen of the sandwich). My only complaint is how hard it was to get into the parking lot of the hotel. It's not clearly marked how you turn into the lot, so I ended up driving around quite a bit before I figured it out. read more

The people who work here are amazingly friendly and helpful. I had to check my GPS to make sure I actually was still in NJ! The hotel itself is in good shape - clean, new looking, and easy to get to/from the Trenton Airport, which is why I was there. They have free shuttle service, and parking (assuming you are not spending the night) is $10 per day. This makes for a good option when the airport lots are full on holidays. In the rooms, they have the normal Courtyard issues. I find the beds are far too soft to be comfortable, and the lighting is all fluorescent and too dim. But the room itself was fairly spacious, with a kinda cool curved couch and handy ottoman, plus the large desk area. And the shower/bathroom was large and well appointed, with decent (not great) water pressure. I'd use them again for the next ungodly early flight I have from Trenton. read more

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years. During that time, it has gone steadily downhill. There's no breakfast. There's no coffee. There is a food counter, but it's usually closed. The rooms are showing their age. The place doesn't come close to the quality I expect from a Marriott property. I have been traveling full time for work for almost 5 months, staying in hotels daily in NY, NJ and PA. Every hotel I have been I was treated respectfully, cordially and even been upgraded to better rooms. However here in Ewing I was received by Britney. Extremely rude from the beginning, I had my reservation, confirmation number for my reservation made by my company. She said she needed written authorization scanned or faxed to the hotel by my office manager about th credit card used. This is on a Sunday so I know everyone wont be in the office to fill out and faxed the documents. To all this she just said well even though there is a reservation paid because I dont have those documents you have to pay again. I had to make a lot of calls to everyone so someone could fill out her form so I was able to stay in the hotel without paying twice. First time I have this situation. Every time it has been enough with my name, ID and confirmation number. To all this she kept helping other people and I had to wait sitting in the lobby area for almost an hour. I received a text from my boss saying that they emailed the form to Britney so I asked her again if she got it, she said no and to keep waiting. Finally 20 mins later she said she got it and gave me the key. Of course she gave me the room where the outlets were not working so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet. I am so disappointed because in all my years traveling and staying in Courtyard Marriotts this is the first time that I felt terrible. Britney was so nasty, she should be fired because she doesnt have idea what customer service is. She even told one of the people that checked in that the day was very slow but when I asked here to call my boss to confirm the credit card she said she was too busy to do that. For only one person from now on every time I go to a Courtyard Marriott I will remember Britney and how rude she was. read more

A nice hotel for business travelers in town for meetings at the nearby pharma companies. Located just next to a corporate hangar (Johnson&Johnson), the hotel seems to have been designed to welcome guests arriving and checking out in suits. Very structured, no-frills, and a VERY large oak desk in the guest rooms complete with high-speed LAN/wireless internet. While I enjoyed my stay for the most part (props to the large shower room with an enormous shower head and a built-in seat), I didn't appreciate the linens too much. They seemed like the typical, four-star hotel sheets and comforter. Pillows weren't too bad, though - nice and plush. These are all very important things to a meticulous traveler like moi. ;-) read more

Really nice for the Courtyard brand. Very fresh, looks recently updated. Comfortable desk and chair. Nice LCD TV. Lobby area has a basic bar, but it's nice. Really friendly staff. This is how a mid-range hotel should be done. Only complaint is slow (buy free) Internet. Good enough for email but not Netflix. (My suggestion to all hotels with free internet is offer high speed for a modest, eg 5.95, up charge. It would be a no brainier for people that need it.) Would definitely stay there again. read more

We actually haven't stayed at this hotel yet but we booked a wedding block with Ashley the Event Coordinator. She gave us a tour of the rooms, spent time going over the next day options, set up the website for the guests to register. We are 10 weeks away from our Wedding and have to postpone the event. This is a below-standard Courtyard. The room was run down with bits of peeling wallpaper and scuffed furniture. The shower was luke warm at best, had stray hairs in it from a previous guest, and some cracked tiles as well. Even the little things, like a dirty remote for the TV and an iron with burned on residue made this a less than pleasant stay. I've stayed in worse offerings by Marriott hotels (the Residence Inn at the Cleveland airport comes to mind), but this Courtyard in Ewing probably in need of new management. Seems that they really don't pay attention to cleanliness, and no hot water in the shower is a major flaw. I would not stay here again and I advise finding a different hotel if you need to come to this area. read more

The property was very easy to find (adjacent to I-95) and is either newish or has been refurbished in the current Courtyard design. The room was clean with a layout that is familiar to any Courtyard customer. The bad news is that maintenance issues were small but impactful: I like to have the bedside lights working (broken switch) and not have to unscrew the bulb to turn it off. I also prefer working outlets next to the bed not ones that have been so overused that a charger adapter fits so loosely it falls out. Finally, and frustratingly, the TV kept losing the signal. This may be an issue with their cable provider. Wifi was adequate (1.99mbps download/2.63mbps upload) for a hotel property. Would I stay here again? Mmmmm. Maybe. read more

We were attending a wedding the bride and groom reserved a block of rooms for there out of town guests. The room was clean and nice. Upon check in the receptionist was not at all friendly or accommodating and actually she was quite rude. The breakfast consisted of a few pastries and if you wanted breakfast you had to order room service at a charge. There was coffee and hot water but no tea bags. The check out didn't go well either as it was the same customer service representative as the time of check in. I was very disappointed in the service we experienced. read more

Disappointed We booked 2 rooms as we were a party of 8. The day of our arrival I called the hotel to see if they had any rooms on the 5th floor because my sister had already checked in and she was on the 5th floor, they stated they didn't have any. When my party arrived we were given 2 rooms on the 3rd floor. One room was clean the other was dirty, had a pizza box, beds unmade and garbage throughout. Given that we are in the times of covid this was very disturbing. When we called downstairs they told us to come back and they would assign us different rooms. Surprise, surprise all of a sudden they have not 1 but 2 rooms available on the 5th floor not to far from my sister. No explanation or offered compensation was provided for their error. Also we had reserved for two nights and they only had us in the system for one night. The beds were comfortable, but the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on next door. We have stayed here twice since this hotel is close to the Trenton-Mercer Airport. The first time the outside lights were off. The second time we were given a room that wasn't clean and the phone didn't work, so we had to drag our bags back down to the front desk. After not receiving an apology, we were given a new room, but the key didn't work! Housekeeping went down and replaced the keys. When I mentioned something to the gentleman at the front desk, again no apology. He didn't seem to care and I am a Marriott Reward member. We stay at a lot of hotels and this front desk person was really not welcoming. The lady at the Bistro was terrific. She included spoons and napkins with the food we purchased for breakfast. read more

Cons: No microwave in room (one is available in the lobby), no room service, color scheme is a little dark, outlets near bed are very loose and your charger plugs will probably fall out or have to be placed just so to work, also WI-FI is like 2 Mbps at best. Pros: It's been refurbished within the last few years, it's very very close to the Trenton-Mercer airport (across the street), local businesses, and I-95, and I love the pillows. I will say that overall, the Springhill Suites that is up one exit (this one is on exit 3 on I-95, Springhill is at exit 4) is nicer, microwave in room, better color scheme (i.e. brighter), etc. Also, while I realize such things are probably normal for anyone who's been staying in a particular hotel regularly over the last 5 years, I have had a couple of incidents, including water pouring through my bathroom light fixture once in the middle of the night, a dripping bathtub faucet that kept me up for a few hours until I finally requested a room change, and the minor pest (spider, fly) problems. Only once however, can I say that I felt like the maids didn't thoroughly clean a room (pube hair in the tub) and that was on my last visit... first time in 5 years. No one's perfect, I guess? And it was easy to get a new room at the front desk. But never once in all these incidents have I ever gotten any type of reimbursement and honestly have felt like staff didn't give a sh*t. I'm a Marriott member, but I'll be staying at the Element going forward. read more

I had a totally pleasant experience here, mainly due to the sweet staff. The ladies were really nice when checking in and when we needed towels for the pool. The girl making the coffee (free Starbucks lattes!) was as friendly as can be. We did a quick overnight here just to get out of the house for the weekend and our 10 month old likes to swim. The pool, while small, was empty and clean. The room was not memorable, but comfortable and fine for our baby to crawl around in. All in all it was completely pleasant quick stop! read more

I have stayed here many times (+8) and still visit periodically for a work project nearby. This is one of the finest Courtyard Marriotts I have ever stayed in. The entire facility has been updated and has a clean, modern look throughout. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff (Nicole, Justin, and Caitlin to name a few in the lobby), clean and functional rooms, a 'Bistro' in the lobby for breakfast, bar, and dinner, and a good fitness facility. Close to Princeton for nicer eating establishments. Highly recommend if you ever find yourself in little Ewing Township. read more

Check in room 421 everything was going well , the room clean , the sheets crispy white RIGHT!, WRONG!! around 1 a.m I felt something biting me in bed I got up and see a little brown bug. So, I started to search the bed and found another one I decided to call the front desk to report it he offer me another room but I just did not feel comfortable so I check out same night . Rooms are nice. Staff is friendly. But I'm pretty annoyed that they don't have either a free breakfast or breakfast room service. If I have to pay for breakfast, they should deliver it to my room. Having to go to the lobby for a breakfast that isn't even free is really crappy in a hotel whose clientele is mostly business. Great stay! One of the nicer and very clean Courtyards I have stayed at. Mattress appeared to be brand new and so did the carpet in the room. Very comfortable and very clean. The Bistro Staff served me an early coffee this morning before they opened up because I happened to walk up and ask when they would be open for coffee. Shout out to the gentleman opening this morning at around 6am. Front desk staff also amazing from check in to check out. 2 very minor issues...no Lysol wipes in gym which was a bit gross, no way to clean sweat off the treadmill...and my shower had minimal hot water. Other than that I had a wonderful stay and would stay again! Definitely recommend this property. Lobby area is beautiful and recently remodeled too! read more

As a frequent traveler I prefer the Marriott brand. This location is similar to many in the Courtyard chain. The hotel layout is exactly the same to mostly all other Courtyard hotels. I have to give this location one star for cleanliness issues. My room was generally ok, but the issue arises when you find hair (likely from the previous guest) all over the room and cigarette buts - it's a no smoking hotel. From the bed, to the shower, to the couch to the balcony: Is the cleaning staff actually cleaning? The gym was no different. No cleaning wipes for the equipment, an entrance door that takes 4 key swipes to enter, and trash on the equipment. Overall, a few policies need to be refreshed to improve the guest experience. read more

I've been to this hotel three times this year and the service has been excellent each time. On my last visit, I had an issue that was resolved quickly by Patricia at the front desk. She made my week! The hotel is comfortable in all the right ways. I like the bistro and usually make it a point to get coffee and breakfast there. Everyone is always so friendly and genuine.
