This review is a little long but worth it. I've been staying here for a while and the service is unmatched. Moving and inspections can be a headache, but their professionalism and genuine helpfulness made a stressful situation actually manageable. The staff is incredible, specifically AGM Brian, Carla, and AJay, who go out of their way to make you feel at home instead of just another guest checking in. I work in hospitality myself and treat my guests as if they were guests in my home, not just guests eating at my restaurant, so to experience that from other service industry members was a huge green flag for me. Housekeeping is top-tier, I came back to a room so clean it felt like I'd done it myself. When I needed to switch rooms, Carla handled it immediately with zero hassle. And when I accidentally left my personal pillow from home in the room I had switched from, housekeeping brought it to my new room right away. On top of that, the security is always on point, walking the floors and staying visible at the front, which makes me feel completely safe. STUDIO 6 SUITES I absolutely love this hotel, I've stayed here several times when I needed a break from my life or a stay-cation because I live about 20 mins from here. The rooms look just like the ad and the price is very reasonable. Why only 4 stars? If there was any complaint at all it would be that their toiletries are really weak, I've done stay-cations locally for hotels of this same caliber and the bathrooms were filled with full size bottles of Dove body wash, shampoo & conditioner and hand lotions, with travel size Dove soap for the sink, Studio 6 has 2 really pathetic tiny bars, of I don't know whose soap, so if you don't bring your own toiletries while staying here, you will be seriously disappointed. If not for that they would get 5 stars. Front desk personnel is super nice, hotel quiet and very clean. Honestly I wish I booked for a longer stay because it was so comfy and relaxing. I had a wonderful stay here at Studio6. Brian checked me in and made sure I was comfortable w/ my room. Plenty of towels, big screen tv, microwave + fridge available. 2days later, there were noisy ppl in the next room w/ their tv + music on soo loud all night for the next 3days. It was terrible. I couldn't get any sleep. And I just came out of surgery, wanting some good rest + relaxation. I alerted the staff. And Colleen at the front was very accommodating + understanding. (I think that was her name, she worked the late shift, this was at 230a.) She placed me in a better room far away from the noise. Thank you Colleen. She was super sweet + soo nice. Decent hotel as far as looks of the room go upon first sight but it seems that there are some little friends in here. Found a bunch of little termites and two full grown termites with wings. I would like to thank Brian and Angie on a wonderful check in/check out process. Our room for 4 was very accommodating. The bed were comfy! And the pillows were okay (although I travel with my own) Our room was great! Fridge was clean, microwave was clean, sheets were clean, bathroom was clean. We had an iron & ironing board if needed, plenty of hangers also. We noticed they didn't have a hairdryer but Brian explained there was one to share throughout so to call the front desk for one. Oh I didn't even tell you about the hotel. The floor was slanted the sink didn't drain. Misc outlets that didn't work not a deal breaker . However we booked an ADH room specifically to make it easier. Right off the bat we had problems ! I parked right in front if our room which had a handicap ramp and a sign posted with the usual handicap symbol and saying reserved. We get in and get settled and the front desk calls and says that is not a parking space. I'm like WTF how is it not? She said it's for employees only. How the hell do you have the employees parking in the handicap spots only ? I was pissed. So fine I move the fucking car. I had the worse experience at this hotel. Let's start with my initial room keys didn't work and when I told the manager he responded saying "oh this room has to be opened with a Master key" . He then said if I left the room that I would have to come to the front desk to be granted access back into my room. I wasn't going through that so I requested another room which they gave me. only stay here if you want to woken up to a bunch of noise, falling, running, bumping, dogs barking in the room above you. starting at 7am the room above us started making all kinds of noise. it got so bad that actually put on my clothes and went to complain to no avail. they kept up the noise like this was their personal home. Exactly what I needed for my business travel: clean, comfortable, convenient location, secure and priced right. Specifics: free parking! Free breakfast with many options (carbs and proteins)! Good coffee (and it's next to Starbucks if you prefer fancier coffee drink) Firm comfortable bed, pillows a little too fluffy for my taste but I beat one into submission and slept fine. Quiet. I was in the 4th floor towards the back. Hardly any street noise. Needed a key card to access elevators to rooms!! Yay!! Shower heated quickly with good water pressure. Nice bathroom amenities. Roomy room With plenty of desk space to work and convenient power outlets. All in all a really nice hotel with friendly staff. I'd be back for biz travel anytime I was near enough. Overall stay was ok. We were in L.A for a wedding and the whole wedding party stayed here . Wouldn't have been my first choice. It was ok you get what you pay for. The hotel needs some updates especially the carpet. The room had a nasty smell & I think it was the carpet. Redo carpet maybe put in some fake wood & the hotel would be ok. Breakfast could be better. Maybe invest in a waffle maker. Provide better pastries. Starbucks is right next door so that's a plus. read more

Our flight was late, getting rental car was taking longer then usual, but we finally arrived at the hotel around midnight... pulled up checked in and parked the car and found our way to the room. The room was a suite, as soon as you walk in, you have the couch, kitchen, etc., then to the left room with two queen size bed and a bathroom... lot of space to move around. After reviewing the reviews on Yelp; looked around the bed and found the foundation sheet had a red stain... not sure if it was ketchup, blood or something else... didn't want to know and didn't care, as we were gone in six hours. As for the breakfast, it was cereals, donuts and breads... I did noticed lot of foreigners staying here and there was a group of motorcycle group that was riding through the town. As for noise, didn't hear too much. There's a Starbuck's coffee next door. As for revisiting the hotel, probably not on my top list of places for lodging. read more

Such a very disappointing and disgusting hotel. The service was horrible considering that the first room (233) I was staying in was a king size suite so it was very big but there was two different occasions where there was a huge spider in the sink just crawling around and another time with a roach crawling around and either dead roaches or eggs on the floor under the sink in the bathroom. Went to the front to tell them about this problem and was moved to room 330 where the room was supposed to be "renovated with all new things" is what I was told. The room was a downgrade considering it was two queen beds and it was a lot smaller, and it was just my boyfriend and I on this trip. As I am packing up my things from 233 to 330, I am struggling to open the door, it was flashing green but you had to hit it with your shoulder in order for it to open. Finally get it open and enter the new room, there is black pieces all over the bed, a couple of red/orange stains and candy wrappers on the floor. The room didn't look new or renovates, the beds were obviously smaller so it was difficult for two to sleep on that one bed. I complained again to the front about the door and the mess on the bed as well as the floor and get asked if I want to move again but that I'd have to wait because they were waiting for people to check out. At this point I feel like every room is going to be disappointing and I don't have time to be waiting around for another room as I'm on vacation and trying to do the most I can with my time there. The black stuff on the bed was coming from the air conditioning unit and it was very much nasty, full of pieces of dirt that were just blowing out onto the bed. The lady at the front said that she would note things down and have her supervisor look into it. She asked for my number and even mentioned that the supervisor would be there on both Sunday and Monday morning after 6 AM. I called both days before noon and the supervisor was not available (Sunday) and not going to be showing up until the afternoon (Monday/today). She also said she would have someone go in and change the filter of the AC unit. Let two days pass and the AC unit was still blowing things out on the bed and filter was NOT changed. I did look into staying someplace else but hotels.com showed 95% of hotels in LA/ Hermosa Beach area were already booked and prices were over $349 a night. If I knew how bad it was going to be when I booked it, a long time ago, I wouldn't have stayed here. Please do not stay here, I advice you to look somewhere else because this place kept disappointing more and more each time. I checked in on Wednesday the 12th and checked out on Monday the 17th. Spent the worst five nights in this place where the supervisor can't contact me after calling three times, going to the front desk six times and even having to contact corporate because of the disappointment and bad service this place had and the lack of customer service the supervisor and staff has to show. No contact was made, no efforts from anyone other than just a change of room or to report it to the supervisor, not even a filter change. read more

Worst experience ever!! I checked in to the hotel to see a swarm of police leaving the premises. That was definitely a red flag right there!! Finally I get into my room and one of the beds had some type of sticky substance on the sheet. The floor was dirty. The little couch in the so called suite had all kinds of greasy hand prints all over it. People hanging outside the premises I can't sleep cause the people above us are up walking around stomping . Pretty nice and renovated for a budget-like hotel. Lobby is super glam, not that you would hang there much, but it gives you a good first impression. Stayed there on a Sunday night a few weeks ago. Our room was clean and nicely laid out. Beware though of the loud fridge-- I could only sleep because I had brought foam ear plugs. The breakfast is free but very basic continental with cereal, instant oatmeal, juices and hard boiled eggs at least. Parking is free but beware: if you don't get a prime spot on the lobby level (which gills up fast) you have to go down a very steep slope/dip to access the back hotel spots. Drive slowly! Great location as it's adjacent up a drive thru Starbucks on the edge of a decent part of town and half a mile from the bad part of town. read more

Our window opened but the fake balcony was only attached on one side. There was only one elevator working while we stayed there and it only worked occasionally. First off they get one star but I wish I could give -5 stars. Absolutely horrific !!! The building was older with several areas of wear and tear , patchwork everywhere ,doors falling apart. When I first entered the room the smell of some weird cheap lemon, scented cleaner hit my nose. I guess that was to let me know that it had been cleaned considering the rude guy at the desk said that they only clean every five days and that I would need to retrieve my own linens and towels. Towels were old, flat , dingy and rough. One of the bath towels had a thick short coarse black hair stuck inside of the terry cloth . Uuggghh!!! Sheets were gray. Curtain partially hanging off the track. Window screen half off at the bottom. Window facing a wall. People walking and stomping into the late night. Low water pressure. The area was very sketchy and the parking situation didn't help. For some reason, the closest two handicap spots to the entrance of the rooms is blacked out on the ground with a blue handicap sign on the wall in front of blacked out handicap spaces. And the young man at the desk stated that only handicap that need a ramp could park there but if your handicap without a wheelchair you cannot, which made no sense and violated all of my ADA civil rights for providing access to adequate close parking . Then he proceeded to speak loudly and threaten to tow my car away for parking in handicap space. I have a disabled persons plaque on my car. I think Handicap is handicap.!!! All of the handicap parking was under the building in the back . The parking structure was extremely sketchy and scary. Security guard was a smaller statue woman with no flashlight. No radio , nothing but a rude attitude...whom seem to be more concerned with saving the two blacked out handicap spots reserved for the manager/owner of the hotel. I had to hop along for about 200 feet to my room from the under ground parking in the back. Ridiculous !! Dirty falling apart hotel with extremely rude and unreasonable management that could care less about the handicap society! NOT ADA FRIENDLY AT ALL! ADA DISCRIMINATORY ACTS! This hotel is the pits. I booked a non smoking room and was checked into a room with a heavy cigarette odor. On top of that the microwave in the room was broken, I saw roaches in the room. I was charged $50 room deposit for each day I stayed. The shower was slippery and made of cheap material. The electric outlet adapter was dangling from the wall. Internet connection is intermittent and seems to be hacked. Room carpet is visibly stained inspite of the fact that it is dark brown. read more

Reading prior reviews I can see that I'm not the only one who had a dingy room. At first I thought it was because I checked in late around 9-10pm and received the lower end of the stick with an non renovated room. Hmm unfortunately no jus bad rooms in general. Walked in to notice only my desk lamp had a bulb in it. Walls had scape marks missing paint as well as the carpet being ripped from the floor. The shower also seemed odd random cracks and rust. The ONLY reason I give this hotel 2 stars is because of the size and was a decent bed to sleep on for one night. Studio 6 in Lawndale stayed there for 2 months paying $1,200-1300 every two weeks their toilet was broke I complained about it several times they asked you for $100 deposit and then they complained about some gel a gel stain from my hair on the pillow and that it cost $55 to replace the pillow out of my $100 deposit it was the worst hotel I ever stated they only had three people that worked in the front three employees that were really sweet and went the extra mile but as for the man the manager not the main manager but the office manager he's black and white he always has an attitude he cusses you out and says whatever he wants to say he rose his eye he is not a professional let alone acting professional how do somebody sit up there and say that this is a professional building or a professional establishment when your own employees don't let me talk about there housekeeping. The housekeeping talks about you in Spanish record you when you're sitting on the balcony enjoying a somewhat view with their own personal phone and then don't go to them and ask them anything cuz they will put the two on the 10 when they get to the office making you look bad I can't believe that I only got $30 back out of my $100 deposit all because us pillow had a little gel stain on one pillow they charged me $70 for a $2.50 pillow from Walmart they have hard beds they just need to hire real professionals to run this video business I would never stay at the studio 6 again had 120 a night and 1375 a week every two weeks for 2 months I paid for their salary and they wouldn't even return a deposit the Days inn down the street don't treat you like this and they're cheaper. If I was you I wouldn't either waste my money or my time at studio 6 studios in Lawndale California they are not worth the money the rooms are trash and want to charge you all this money and $100 deposit and then make up some stuff to say why they can't give the $100 deposit back they never planned on giving the $100 deposit back that's how they get over on people they got all kinds of traffic fights everything in and out of the hours of the night of this hotel but they say that they're professional. What a DUMP!!! Did I say Dump? How did I end up here? Well, we didn't book a hotel soon enough and ended up with 2 options this or Motel 6 on Crenshaw. We picked Motel6 but left after check in because it had roaches. Upon checking in to this hotel my reservation hadn't been faxed over yet. I told the rep I just booked it, She said I couldn't have booked the hotel they were full. I showed her my confirmation number and all of a sudden they have a room. She then advised me she wouldn't have my selected category. I told her I needed 2 beds as I have a wife a toddler and infant with me. Mysteriously now she has beds! Wtf! On to the room! The room was verrrrrry run down and falling apart. The sink backed up with other peoples sewage. The room is very dark with wall outlets barely hanging on. The shower rod had mold, and it lacked a curved rod, so the shower curtain touched you. The carpets were stained and the shower tiles were filthy. Oh and the front door in our room had tagging on it! Stayed May 17 & 18th. Great location within walking distance to food places and Starbucks right next door. Hotel is a little older with some areas in the room that needed painting and tiles broken, but room was huge, had 2 beds with a sofa bed also. Had a small sink outside of bathroom with microwave and fridge. Beds were comfortable. Downside is small parking area by rooms, but they do have a lower garage that had more parking, however the elevator didn't work so it made it kind of tough to carry everything up to room. Breakfast was minimal and basic, I would still recommend this hotel just go elsewhere for breakfast. read more
