Truly an asset to the team! Angel greeted me with such genuine warmth and went above and beyond to ensure my check-in was seamless and that all my requests were handled with a smile. It's rare to find someone so attentive and professional; they really made me feel like a valued guest from minute one. The room was pristine, the amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring. If you are like me and get anxiety about Parking be rest assured spacious Parking lot $25 fee but we'll worth it. However, it's the "people first" attitude--led by staff like Angel--that will definitely bring me back here.

Hair dryer was very old! Needs to be replaced. The room in general is poorly insulated. For the nightly rate charged, I do not recommend staying here.

Our room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. The AC worked well and having both a fridge and microwave was wonderful. The bed and pillows were super comfortable! Having access to free parking and a great selection of things for a complimentary breakfast (including bagels/toast, cream cheese, jams, peanut butter, juices, yogurt, eggs, fruit, cereals, waffles, etc.) was amazing and saved us a great deal of money. The staff throughout the hotel were lovely...especially the gentleman (named Hassan) at the front desk who met all of my requests when I phoned a few days before arrival (eg. Quiet room, location towards front of hotel, pool towels, etc). You have to request daily housekeeping and they will make a note of it for the time you want to have your room cleaned daily. There is even a pool and hot tub for those who wish to use it, with dedicated pool towels. The hotel is situated well if you have a car rental...eg. 15 min drive to Manhattan Beach or the airport. Very close to some great shopping as well. :) I would not hesitate to book here again...excellent value...especially in Los Angeles! Thanks for great service and a wonderful stay! :)

It had all the standard amenities and it was extremely quiet. The bathroom was great when I needed to get ready for the concert. The lobby is also very nice. This is my first time staying in LA, so I don't know if this is the standard for hotels here, but this is the first time I've ever been charged for parking at a hotel I'm staying at. It was $20 a night which is ridiculously expensive and it should be free for paying customers, especially when you consider that we paid about $140 a night. I believe the price for parking also changes based off of demand, as other reviews state different prices within the same month sometimes. Expect somewhere between $18 - $25 a night. Breakfast is also NOT complimentary. You'd think it would be considering all the money they make from added on fees, but nope. They completely avoided mentioning this to us until we showed up for breakfast in the morning and realized that you have to pay for it. It was overpriced and we decided to go to the local IHOP instead. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Unfortunately, we won't be staying here again. You can get better for the same price.

A Home Away From Home…read more My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting friends in the city, and it truly has become a home away from home for us. This most recent visit was under more difficult circumstances, but when we arrived at the courtyard, the familiar sights, sounds, and even the smells gave us a sense of comfort and emotional grounding. That familiarity helped more than I can easily explain. But you're here to know about the hotel itself, so let me get to that. The lobby is beautiful, consistently clean, and well maintained every time we walk through it. The staff is friendly, courteous, and welcoming without being overbearing. The food is fantastic, and I highly recommend adding breakfast to your room if it's within your budget -- it's worth it. There's a bar area where you can unwind with a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail. TVs are available so you can catch the news, a game, or just relax with a familiar show. One of the standout features for me is the workspace setup. You can bring your food, sit in a semi-private area to watch TV, connect your laptop, and hold a private meeting. There are also quiet spaces perfect for Zoom calls or spreading out your work without being disturbed -- which is a big plus if you're traveling but still working. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. One small suggestion: if you're able, tip your room service staff when they do a great job. There's nothing quite like showing appreciation in a way that's universally understood. All in all, the next time I fly into LAX, this hotel will be at the top of my reservation list. But don't just take my word for it -- stay here, leave your own review, and let me know how your experience compares to mine.

WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE--THE EMPLOYEES STEAL!…read more My experience at the Days Inn in Lawndale/Hawthorne has been an absolute nightmare. On January 4th, I stayed at this hotel and checked out on January 5th. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my Apple Watch behind. When I called about it, the staff claimed they didn't have it, but the situation has proven otherwise. On January 19th, I went back to the hotel because my Apple Watch was pinged there just 30 minutes before my arrival. An employee named Louis admitted to me that he saw the housekeeper turn in my Apple Watch and even recognized it as mine because my picture was on it. He said the housekeeper brought it to the front desk, but the manager, Mike, claimed there was no record of a watch being returned. It's clear that someone on staff stole my watch. The young man working the front desk has been shady and uncooperative since the beginning. On January 11th, when I came in to ask more questions, he acted rude and suspicious. To make matters worse, my watch has been traced all around town and even back to the hotel since then, confirming that someone who works there has it. This hotel operates with zero integrity, and I am absolutely furious. I am still responsible for this watch on my credit and phone bill, and I will not tolerate being robbed. I need to be compensated or reimbursed immediately, or I will take this matter to the next level. Everything cheap is NOT a good deal, and this hotel is a prime example. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs. Does this cover everything you want to say? Let me know if you'd like to adjust anything further.

DO NOT STAY HERE--THEY WILL STEAL YOUR BELONGINGS!…read more Beware of the Days Inn in Lawndale/Hawthorne! If you value your belongings and peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs. I accidentally left my Apple Watch behind after checking out, and when I called to retrieve it, the staff claimed they never found it. Clearly, someone here decided to help themselves to my property instead of doing the right thing. This location is cheap for a reason--poor service, zero integrity, and untrustworthy employees. Everything about this place screams unprofessional. What's worse is the complete lack of accountability from management. They clearly have no problem allowing theft to happen on their watch. I plan to take legal action against this business for stealing my Apple Watch. Trust me when I say: spending a little more for a decent hotel is worth it. Stay far away from this shady operation! And I'm not lying everything I say can and will be proven in a court of law or even on this post or both!

The lobby: insanely nice and clean! Smelled amazing! I was able to purchase snacks in the lobby too which is always a plus! The room: Clean and smelled amazing. I usually bring my own cleaning products anyways to just wipe down common areas only because my OCD doesn't let me sit still if I don't but nothing that I used showed signs of dust or anything! THE STAFF: (Here's where they really shine) We ran into a problem with one of our neighbors but! We contacted the hotel's front desk and OMGGGG, Alejandro is you read this, thank you! He handled my complaint seriously and with the most friendly and positive attitude! I appreciate Alejandro so much! Shoutout to the whole staff honestly because during breakfast, they were just ON IT! If they noticed that something was running low then they would stock everything right away! And if someone left a mess, it would get cleaned super quick. They were also very helpful and wonderful people. Amazing staff. I saw a couple of housekeeping ladies as well and all of them seemed positive and happy to be there. The vibes were just out of this world. I will definitely make this my permanent spot for when I travel close to there. Thank you Homewood Suites. You guys killed it! Especially Alejandro!

I am going to leave this review, for the third time…read more.. And the 4th, or however many times it takes for Yelp and Hilton to ALLOW, my review of this establishment. Yelp has taken it down twice now at the request of Hilton... Coincidentally enough, I am a Hilton Honors member, but they don't seem to care about my experience, or the experience of countless others that were subjected to a Poolside takeover at this facility... they have worked awfully hard to find my reviews of their establishment, but so far ZERO efforts to contact me or anyone else in our party. Surely that Alex S. Would try and reach out to me to find out what they can do to make it right. But apparently Alex S Business Manager is just a handle managed by someone at corporate that loves to stroke those brilliant messages about how the parking is so amazing (hint, it's not, it's super tight and fills up fast) The truth is, you can question weather all of the 80+ attendees at this poolside toddler party were guests or not... But you cannot question the absolute lack of control hotel employees exhibited during this party. The maximum number of people allowed is posted, poolside... that number was exceeded. Hotel employees could not be bothered There was glass bottle consumption, poolside. Do I need to explain the dangers behind glass poolside? Hotel employees could not be raised There was twerking, half naked, cheeks clapping, next to the BBQ... ON CAMERA They had a guy in this party, whose duty was to keep the "Keep Door Closed" door open whenever someone from the parking lot needed access to this toddler party. The maximum allowed in the spa is CLEARLY posted, but there were so many toddlers (14 by my count)) that they literally shut that toilet down for floaters... It's Hotel administrations job to ensure the security of their facility, and this absolute lack of control tells me that employees here would be unreliable in most situations. Take it down again and I'm going to start making calls to corporate

**Good Night, Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite**…read more Since 2020, The Beach House in Hermosa Beach has been my preferred staycation destination. Although the front desk staff often made me feel more tolerated than celebrated, the stunning views kept me coming back and with no room service available, my interactions with the staff were limited to check-in and check-out, allowing me to enjoy my visits in peace. After my mother passed away in July 2025, I chose this hotel to help me cope during my first birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas without her. The beach has always served as my sanctuary. However, during my last stay in December 2025, I unknowingly left with an unwanted holiday gift: BED BUGS. That's right BED BUGS AT THE BEACH HOUSE, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA! Throughout 2025, The Beach House was my only travel destination. In January 2026, I began to notice itching, and by February, I was experiencing severe reactions without understanding the cause. One night around 3 a.m., I spotted a bug crawling on my pillow. After killing it, taking a pic and asking Google to identify, I discovered it was a bed bug. Having lived in my home for over 50 years without any bed bug issues, I was shocked. I immediately contacted an exterminator, who confirmed the presence of bed bugs, likely brought in during my December visit. Given that my only travel in the past year was to The Beach House, I knew where they originated. Fortunately, I caught the problem early, but it still cost me $2,000 to eradicate them before they became an infestation. I stayed on the 3rd Floor in an Ocean Front Suite I guess you can say I got more than I bargained for. SHAME ON Beach House Hotel Hermosa Beach for not maintaining a higher standard of care to protect guests from BED BUGS!
