I'm glad he did because we were able to see and hear all about what the gym has to offer. The apparel was really good looking and great quality. There's a corner for supplements, barbershop inside, lounge area to hang out, sauna, and even a cold plunge (you don't see this in many gyms)!!! Another highlight to the gym was the posing room. YES, flexing and showing off all the gains is a plus in this room. It's a really unique setup that has several lights and mirrors. All the equipment was superb, nicely organized, and very spacious. They sent an email to their members stating that they will continue to charge these dues, despite the fact that they are closed. They further stated that IF, keyword if, a member would like a refund, they need to submit a request in writing and they will process those requests after the re-open. See attached photo. Absolutely absurd. It is the risk you take, the cost of doing business and being a business owner, to lose money. While nobody could have predicted these state mandated closures, do not screw over your members who are also trying to survive this.

Your response actually highlights the problem. You mention having thousands of members, which means Genesis has access to substantial revenue. That makes the persistent state of disrepair even more difficult to understand, not easier. The fact that your defense is essentially "we are big and things take time" is astonishing. As for the spin room, claiming that members are providing "great feedback" is frankly insulting, and either profoundly out of touch or intentionally dishonest. Either management is completely disconnected from member experience, or it is choosing to ignore it. Anyone who regularly uses that room knows exactly how miserable those conditions can be. Members are not blind, and they are not stupid. We know the difference between a problem being fixed and management pretending it has been fixed. What is most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. Every problem comes with an explanation. Every complaint comes with an excuse. Every concern is met with a canned response explaining why members should lower their expectations and continue paying anyway. At some point, Genesis needs to stop blaming parts shortages, policies, and circumstances, and start taking responsibility for the quality of the product it is selling. While the upgrades are a step in the right direction, the value just isn't there when compared to other options in Fort Collins. For a gym with a 2.8 on Yelp and a 4.0 on Google, these prices are absurd. It feels like profit is the priority over member retention. Disappointing.

It is clean. And it is full of people focused on lifting. I was a bit overwhelmed with the variety of equipment, but that variety is a really good thing. You can find any piece of equipment you have ever used, and if you are not super picky, you never have to wait. Really a nice setup. Chris, the owner, is often present, and seems very available through email and txt. Certainly keeps the place running well, and given his experience, he is surely a valuable resource. I was a little put off by the political and religious signs; I want to work out, not get riled up. But, I never heard any religious or political discussions, and so none of that got in the way of my workout.
