I thought about it for weeks too many. Then I met Lisa. She and I come from different walks of life, but she is genuinely one of the kindest, most caring individuals I've ever met. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in to her studio, but I quickly found out it would become my haven. For a first-timer like me, the idea of lash extensions was kind of overwhelming. So many different styles! Lengths! I had no idea what I wanted, and she was patient and walked me through the process every step of the way. We settled on a natural look with a little extra flair on the outside corners, and I couldn't have been happier. I can't believe what a difference they made! I've been back twice since my first visit and I can't say enough great things. I don't know that I'll ever go anywhere else. Lisa is just the best, both personally and in the work she does. My appointments with her have quickly become something I so look forward to. And if my review isn't enough to seal the deal for you, when I visited with my professional makeup artist friend shortly after getting my lashes done, his first comment to me was "YOUR LASHES!" When I told him they were extensions, he about fell out of his seat, swearing up and down he'd never seen them look so real. So yeah, she's pretty great. Because of this I went to Laura's studio and had Laura herself microblade my brows. Pros: Scheduling is easy, it is all online. I had an appointment for a Saturday. Studio is clean, friendly, and welcoming. Laura is prompt, creative, and a great listener. She asked lots of questions about my lifestyle and what brows I was hoping to get. I said, whatever you think is best because let's face it, I don't know what to do with them. Painless! Laura put on numbing cream so I legit didn't feel anything. It felt like someone was drawing on my brows with a dull pencil. Cons: None! I just hope none of you reading this actually go because I have plans to get my eyeliner done and I don't want you to take all of her time up. She's my secret so shhhh! Seriously though, I've had 20 +people compliment my brows and they are still healing. It takes about two weeks before you can get them really wet or treat them like they really yours. (She goes over all of the after care with you in depth and she's so quick on email replies). Before you go to your first appointment, READ THE BEFORE CARE email she sends. I have been wanting this done for years and the process is a pretty penny. If you don't adhere by the guidelines then you won't be able to have the coolest brows of your life so do yourself a favor and follow her directions. Also, I was worried about going out afterwards and looking crazy with a red forehead but I wasn't red at all! I went out and just looked like I really knew what to do with my brows.

I didn't realized how little time had been used until I called for an Uber. When I left there was another client waiting for her appointment, so it was obvious that she had not intended to use the full time but still charged the full price. I knew immediately that more work would be needed but she recommends waiting 6 weeks between appointments. I booked and arrived. I discussed with that I felt that I had been shortchanged and received an incomplete service. She offered several options and when asked the charge, she gave me rate quoted on her page. She made no offer to adjust the fee. I now have rapidly fading brows because she said they didn't "heal" properly. I followed her instructions for aftercare. (I got a tattoo in March and have had zero problems with healing.) Very expensive mistake. The work done will likely faded away within a couple of months. Money wasted. Save your money and avoid this shop.

I am EXTREMELY picky and anxious whenever someone cuts my hair-- they always somehow manage to do something wrong. She was GREAT. The best haircut I have ever had. She really knows what she is doing and listened carefully to what I wanted. She was very nice and worked with me to make sure I was happy. The deep conditioning treatment was also fantastic, my hair has been really shiny since I had it done. All of their products smell soo good. We were ripped off $125 for a mediocre and lazy service. I'll just make this easy with a list of points. 1. Upon arrival, Cheri - the owner and my service provider - wasn't even in the salon. She didn't even know my appointment was at 10am, the doors were locked. 2. The salon was pretty messy, which I can overlook if the service was good. It was not. So I won't be overlooking that. 3. I received a scalp treatment, which is a pretty simple service... so for the cost Cheri was asking for you'd think she'd make sure to elevate it. She did not. She somewhat grazed my scalp in sections with a comb and then doused me with scalp solution. Which was dripping down my face at one point. Messy and sloppy work. 4. Her son who is a "junior stylist" and his friend who is "pursuing cosmetology school" were awkwardly lurking in the background of my whole appointment. They weren't rude, just awkward and took away from creating a relaxing environment. Also received a very lazy and awkward hand and arm massage from her son. He used so much lotion and barely did anything. Had to force my way through awkward conversation with this kid while he awkwardly rubbed my hand. Again, nice kid just really weird to charge so much money for some kid in a bright orange hat with a head lamp on and work clothes to kind of sort of rub your hand with 10 pounds of lotion. 5. My shampoo was done by her "junior stylist" son. It was horrible. A stylist in training who's working in a salon on real clients should be trained better. Bad technique and poor rinsing. 6. The blow dry. I requested a round brush blow out. Once via text and once in person. Cheri didn't even grab a hair clip to section my hair which is necessary for a round brush blow out. She applied the product so sloppily and rough dried my hair. At the very end for the last few seconds she kind of touched my hair with a round brush. No technique to it though or effort to make my hair look nice. Just lazy. All of this totaled up to $125. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE Dollars. I am also a licensed professional and have my own studio. I would truly pass away from embarrassment if I offered the service and level of professionalism that was offered by Cheri. I texted and informed Cheri of my disappointment after thinking about it for a day or so. During the service I of course was polite and kind and left a cash tip - since I work for tips myself i am never cheap with that - and she only offered me $25 of a refund. She of coursed used my politeness during the service as a way to get out of offering me proper reimbursement. Definitely would not recommend this place.

But, an opportunity presented itself for me to try out a semi permanent lash lift and tint. The salon is in Bloomfield, at a cute little shop. On one side of the shop, is the hair salon. And the other side is for skincare, lashes, and makeup. The person who did my lash lift and tint was Ashlynn. She is very calm and takes her time. She said to me while doing my lashes, that she is sometimes super picky and particular about making sure it is done properly. And she was, but I enjoyed that about her. The process was not long. I was out of there in a hour. She also talks you through the process, so you know exactly what she is doing. Your eyes are closed the entire time. So it is nice to at least know what is going on, step by step. I love my lashes and will definitely return to have my lash lift and tint done by her again. Perhaps if I have a big event, I will get lash extensions by her. But for an everyday look, I prefer the lash lift and tint.
