I HAVE RECENTLY RELOCATED TO A SALON SUITE IN CORAL GABLES FL. But as a previous stylist at Studio Chroma the work that comes out of this small salon is Five Stars!!!!!!! They know how to do hair, especially color and balayage!!! They are also experts in color corrections. I learned a great deal of hair knowledge from the staff. I learned specific color techniques to personalize each client. I also had the chance to take further education courses with the other stylist.! I followed Tristan, my hair stylist, to this salon and I have nothing but great things to say. Everything from beginning to end is absolutely amazing. Their customer service skills are top notch & the salon is very clean with a very sleek modern look. Tristan is amazing! I have never had a better hair cut and his head massages are to die for! I recently decided to lighten my hair for the first time EVER. I have naturally black hair and was having major anxiety about the change. Tristan was very patient and professional and walked me through the whole process. I went with a balayage look and I LOVE it. The color is very subtle, exactly the change I wanted. Just want to add that I have a full head of very long hair and since it is so thick, I am very picky with how my hair is cut. I had been looking for a fix to control my frizzy pouf ball hair for a while. The keratin in the past would control it but make my hair super oily by midday. So I stopped doing it for several years. Until just a few days ago when Erika did a special type of keratin (can't remember the name) which actually worked for my hair type. It's been 3 days and I'm loving it. I can actually wash my hair and let it air dry and it looks amazing. If your ever need suggestions on what to do with your hair Erika is the person to see. Really excellent. I have only good things to say about this salon. I made an appointment the day before to see Alba and she got me in on a Saturday. I bought a Groupon and went in for a cut and color. Alba handled me from the moment I entered the salon through my entire appointment. I was not handed off to someone else to wash my hair or someone else to blow dry my hair. I really appreciate that kind of attention. We started with a consultation. I explained what I had been doing and what I was ultimately looking for. We decided on a course of action. Alba watched my color processing so carefully that she changed course in the middle. Ultimately, she saved me a little money but more importantly, my color is exactly what I wanted. I think I got even better results than I had anticipated. The haircut is good. In my experience, stylists like to be conservative until they get to know you. I would have preferred to have my color done and wait to have my hair cut. My only complaint is that the salon did not let me use a portion of the Groupon for this appointment and save a portion. Hardly a complaint! I walked out looking good and feeling really good about my experience. I will definitely be back to see Alba. read more

First of all, Tristan gave me the best scalp massage of my life during the shampoo. At that point I didn't really care what happened next but he proceeded to give me a fantastic haircut, despite me repeatedly moving my head to steal a glance in the mirror (and I wasn't peeking at my hair). He was very responsive to my requests and remembered details about my first haircut with him from months prior. His attention to detail was impressive - It's obvious he's passionate about his craft. As someone who hates small talk and usually loathes that aspect of having one's hair did, I can actually say that I enjoyed chatting with Tristan as he worked his magic. Also, he didn't talk so incessantly that he mindlessly chopped off too much, which is sadly a legitimate fear based on past experience. I walked away feeling relaxed and confident. WARNING My experience at this place was uncomfortable and infuriating. Studio Chroma does not care for its customers, they just look to take your money. Be aware of what you sign! They make you sign a contract (just to do your hair) that basically releases them of any responsibility for destroying your hair. I came into this place looking to a fresh balayage look. After finding them on yelp and looking at the hair results I was convinced to pay the high price. Diana did my hair, I showed her a picture of what I wanted. It was the same base color as mine with honey highlights, I specifically mentioned to her that I did not want my hair brassy. They also convinced me to pay 40 bucks for a conditioning treatment that would protect my hair. What came out was dark orange brittle hair!! After dealing with my horrifying hair for a couple of days I came back expecting the decency of them fixing it. I went with my mother to ask for them to fix it. With an empty salon, Dianas response was that she would not fix it, she would only put a toner, and if I wanted to get it fixed I would have to be charged!!! After asking another professional hair colorist, the only reason why my hair was dark was because she did not leave the bleach on long enough. Once I left with my medium brown hair (complete waste of 240 dollars) Erika, the women on front, told me not to every come back to the hair salon because of our disagreement. The Salon is empty, and it is because it only cares about getting your money and not taking responsibility for its mistakes. read more

If your money and your hair is dear to you then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I drove all the way from Fort Lauderdale 3x to this salon only because of the good reviews that I read on this website. This salon is the worst one I have ever went to. After my experience, I feel like all these good reviews must have be fixed. I went to Natalia and asked her to color my outgrown roots in my natural color ( so I wouldn't see roots later) and for an ombre. To my surprise, she colored my hair orange/copper. Natalia lied to me by telling me that she had to add warmth to the color so my blond wouldn't turn green. But she also said that the next time I would come to her, she would be able to fix my roots in my natural color (ashy tone). The second time I went to her, she colored my hair orange again. She said that my hair does not accept the pigment. I complained to the manager and I got one corrective treatment free of charge. By the way, at that point I already spent $400 at the salon. The third time I went to her for this corrective treatment, Natalia colored my hair deep orange with red sub-tones again (my natural color is ashy). I was so upset but she maintained that she did nothing wrong that my hair just does not accept the pigment. Also, when she did my ombre balayage, she put bleach on every single string of my hair. As she started to do it, I asked her not to color all of my hair blond, that I wanted to see some brown in there too. She told me not to worry, that it would be blond and brown on the lower half of my hair. I was right, though in assuming that NATALIA DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING, because lower half of my hair was over processed bleached white. When I wrote a detailed email to the management of this salon ( with tears in my eyes), I got copy/paste style response back (from DJ Rassech) basically telling me that "it looks like we cannot make you happy. In this situation we recommend you to go to a different salon and if you want we can forward your hair treatment summary to that new salon for your convenience". Yes, you read right! Like I would want to have that hair disaster recreated again! I was so outraged that I got such a treatment from a salon located in Coral Gables next to Miracle Mile. From such a location I thought I could expect only the best. I paid for the best ($400). Instead, I felt like I went to a salon located in the middle of nowhere with haystacks flying by. After 4 months of orange hair, I went to OREN SALON to fix it. He is next to Lincoln drive. Oren fixed my orange hair to my natural tone as easy as 1-2-3. By the way, he fixed my hair 4 weeks ago and I still do not see any roots. He is the God when it comes to coloring hair. He trained in Paris, France. Plus he is using this pure pigmentation color which does not fade out. Amazing, I am finally satisfied. If you need a professional colorist, go see Oren in Oren Salon... read more

Ok... I rarely write reviews, but my service at Studio Chroma with Natalia has been so CONSISTENTLY outstanding I needed to share. I have been her client for about a year now and absolutely love her work. Natalia has transformed my head. I have naturally "almost black" wavy hair that has been getting progressively more gray for the past few years. I had tried highlights but found them impossible to maintain and leaving my hair feeling like straw. The first thing I have to mention is that while Natalia does have a "signature" cut, she asked me what I wanted. I loved that. Her signature cut happened to be what I was looking for. When it came to color, she again asked me what I was thinking, gave me a few suggestions and then showed me some pics. Finally we decided! After some a freshening up of my base color, some balayage highlights, and olaplex treatment, I was amazed. My hair was not only beautiful, but it felt soft and supple. I was amazed. I had tried just about every treatment out there and NOTHING made my hair feel like this. Besides being excellent at what she does, Natalia has an effervescent personality. She connects with her clients and understands them. Did I mention she is incredibly accommodating despite her inordinately busy schedule? I love love love Studio Chroma!!! Antony is amazing!! The first time I came in with a horrible orangey brassy "balayage" from another salon, and Antony transformed my hair into a beautiful and fun ashy blonde, without even touching my brunette roots (which was important for me). After a couple of months, I decided to go back to brunette but still keep some of the bright blond strands. Antony suggested doing a balayage with the color of my roots, and it turned out amazing! It's been about 6 months since I went and I still get compliments on my hair color. When I've visited other salons to do highlights, within a month my hair turns a brassy orange color. But with the quality products that Studio Chroma uses, my hair has not changed color even after 6 months! I'm looking forward to visiting again soon and maybe have Antony try adding some baby lights into my hair ;) My hair is even much healthier than ever! I had to take a few seconds to share what an amazing job Natalia had done on my disaster of a hair. For the first time (ever!) someone sat down with me and did an actual thorough consultation. She took the time to pick my hair apart, listen to what I wanted to do (which was color roots cover faded red hair with light brown color, trim the layers, and some bangs) and gave me some feedback on what to do instead (avoid the mistake of coloring color with color, get rid of the red faded, boost up chocolate brown color to match the roots, clean up the layers, Taylor Swift bangs). Honestly, I thought I was going to be there for hours but before I knew it, I was already washed/conditioned, trimmed and ready. Uh-mazing! I felt like a new person (I know, so cliched) but it's true! Great customer service and overall excellent finishing 'product'. I am definitely returning! read more

After searching for two entire days, I finally found Natalia. I scoured her yelp reviews, as well as her instagram account (follow her @glambynatalia !). I was nervous to trust my hair to someone new, I've been going to the same person for 4 years, but after relentless indecision I finally took the plunge. I got to sit down in a chair immediately upon arriving, and was very politely offered water/wine/etc. Natalia came over and spent some time figuring out exactly what I wanted. I tried being as specific as possible. (I got an ombre balayage and a super layered haircut). Though it did take some time (you can't rush art, right?), Natalia did not disappoint. I almost cried of happiness! She was so sweet, and funny, talking to me the whole time. Throughout the whole process she kept asking me questions to make sure we were heading in the right direction. This place is decent. I came here in hopes of getting blonde tips on my short curly hair, & I did. Not exactly the way I had envisioned them, but it worked out in the end... My stylist was Silvina. She honestly did the best she could & was super nice to me both times I went to the salon. The 1st time(a week before my 2nd visit), I got Balayage. Turned out OK but as days passed, my hair became brassier. Silvina contacted me a few days later to follow up(which I found nice) & I explained what was going on, she asked me to schedule another appointment to correct the color at no charge. I ended up deciding to lighten the color a little more & of course I had to pay extra for that. I was very happy w/ the new outcome & Silvina was great once more. The only two negative things I can say is that they're a little overpriced(in my opinion), & although Silvina stated she used Olaplex to not damage my hair during the lightening process both times, it still turned out a bit damaged & straw-like. It might be due to the fact that I got two styles done in a short period of time, however, I will say they work well & take their time(at least that was the case w/ me). I had a terrible experience at this salon back in June. I have been repairing my hair ever since this appointment with Antony. I came into the salon as a brunette wanting some highlights for the summer and came out with burnt platinum blond hair. I brought a picture of what I wanted and Antony did whatever he pleased with my hair. I left the salon crying and later sent Antony a message to see what I could do, instead of apologizing for the miscommunication he said I had showed him a different picture, calling me a liar basically.
