I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Christine. I came in with clear, realistic expectations: natural-looking highlights with face-framing money pieces and an overall ashy tone. What I received instead was a bleach treatment that lacked any dimension or contrast. no highlights, no face-framing, and no ashiness. The result was not only far from what I asked for, but also severely damaging to my hair. To make matters worse, I also asked for just a one-inch trim, but my hair was cut shorter than requested. I have gone to get get hair done by Koral twice now and I'm so thankful I found her! She has done an amazing job with adding blonde into my brown hair. To be honest I thought I had given up on lightening my hair because of horrible experiences at other salons but Koral knows what she is doing and it turns out beautiful! I really wish I could give Studio II a 3 1/2, as I feel it deserves a better rating than a 3, but not quite a 4. In high school, I used to get my hair cut here. I always liked the cut. It was never spectacular, but probably better than what I would get anywhere else in Aberdeen. My main issue is that every time I went in to Studio II there was gossip all around me. The stylists would be talking to other stylists or their clients about so and so, and such and such. My mom got a couple of other services here and was really happy about them (I think eyelash coloring and eyebrow waxing). For Aberdeen, it's great. But coming from Seattle, it doesn't quite match up to my expectations. With that being said, I think I might come back and update my review if my opinion changes. read more

I went here for a haircut, and was unimpressed with the chatter and gossip. I had really wished that the person doing my hair would have spent more time talking to me about what I wanted from her service than the unprofessional dishing about who-did-what-to-whom in town. I regularly get my hair done here and can say this place is OUTSTANDING. The girls are all super welcoming and helpful. Tabitha, the esthetician is on site for facials, brows, ect. I must say, this place has it all. Kynda is my girl that makes the magic happen for me, but there's also Lynsey and a couple of other ladies there to hook you up. Angela cuts my hair and she is wonderful -- she really knows how to get my abundant, thick hair under control. A cut like I get at Studio II would be at least twice as expensive in Seattle, and the setting couldn't be prettier. The women who run this place put work and thought into making it attractive, comfortable and stylish. And they do all kinds of aesthetic services besides hair. What kind of a salon doesn't have a receptionist who you can call to book appointments? Instead, you're supposed to call your stylist directly. Unfortunately, the stylist I went to the first time can't be bothered to return my messages, so I can't schedule another cut. She did a great job, was very nice, and I gave her a decent tip and lots of compliments, but she obviously sucks at managing the business end of things. And since the salon's owner is too cheap to spring for a receptionist, I literally cannot use their services. Epic fail. read more

I visited the studio ll on 10-23-2012 to get eyelash extensions done by Claire the cost was $100.00 for the first visit which should last 4 - 6 weeks I was told a fill would be $35.00 in this period of time in the mean time I used no mascara are oil products on my lash's I have had lash's before I know how to take care of them these lash's were falling out within the week therefore I called to make an appointment for a fill I got in on 11-08 -2012 I had a few eyelash's left . I told Claire this she said she was getting new glue in a few week's. ( ? ) She filled my lash's charged me $55.00. Needless to say now 4 day's later all the lash's have fell out. Went to see Claire the wonderful esthetician for eyelash extensions. Best job I've had. I'm from Portland Oregon and use to paying top dollar for ok work. I'm very picky and explained to Claire what I was looking for in a style for my lashes and she listened gave me exactly what I wanted and them some! Just took my Mother and Aunt here a few days ago. I was not impressed. First of all my mother has almost no hair, meaning so thin when you pull it all together its about the width of a ballpoint pen, no exaggeration and she wanted a trim( not a cut) and the stylist (I believe her name was Kristen) did it while my Aunt's hair was processing, charged $30, Excuse me? Now for my Aunt. We called her usual hair dresser and got brand and color number and hair cut instructions, and I understand everyone is different and it wouldn't be exact but It looks AWFUL! All the stylist had to do was highlight the light areas and color the dark areas, she had a template of where to put the color. Don't get me started on the cut, its the worst part. They charged the same amount that I pay at a higher end salon in Olympia. ???? I could understand the price if the quality was worth it. Also its Aberdeen people. Obviously you don't goto a Seattle Salon and expect to pay Olympia prices, why would Aberdeen charge what Olympia charges. We will not going there, I will have my hair dresser fix my aunts hair. read more
