After weeks, no actually months of urging from my dear wife, I scheduled a one hour session with Jackie Allen for deep tissue massage. I specifically wanted to see if deep tissue massage would relieve the annoying tenderness in my hips. I have had a total hip replacement in my right hip as well as a "worn out" left hip that does ache after being on my feet for extended periods of time. I also had Jackie work on my upper trapezius muscles and my neck. Again, chronic soreness and some loss of range of motion. Needless, to say, I was not disappointed. I worked out on Friday as part of my five day a week schedule with absolutely no discomfort in my hips and only a little soreness from the massage in my traps. I woke up this morning without hip soreness and no neck soreness. I believe I have found the answer to my question. Will deep tissue massage help my hips, shoulders, and neck? Yes it has! Yesterday I had an eyelash curt and tint. I have been to several other places but Catherine at Oceana Spa does the best job by far. Today I went back and had a facial by Catherine, she is amazing! My wife and I have been going for massage here for six months now and we could not be more pleased and satisfied. They are centrally located on a main street in the center of town so they are easy to find and get to with on and off street parking available. The facility is clean and cozy and the staff are so very courteous and professional. I've had sessions so far with three of the four masseuses and ALL my sessions have been restorative and rejuvenating. Glorious! Go there now! I had a wonderful facial and massage. Catherine was gentle with my sensitive skin, and gave a great explanation of what she was doing. Dale followed the facial with a massage that was frankly unbelievable - I could feel my back loosening up as he worked on me. After that, I noticed they carry a makeup I love but have trouble finding; Holly at the front desk kindly assisted me, and even recommended an improved color match on my existing foundation! Wow! Not what I was expecting , in a great way! The location made me feel a bit skeptical but once I got inside it was very cute and cozy. I instantly felt the weight of the chaotic world wash away. The receptionist was very kind and soft spoken. She handed me my packet and walked me to the relaxing waiting room where they had water, tea and chocolates available. Along with a couple samples of hand and body lotion. I've had a lot of massages but non by a man. So I was a bit nervous. Well Dale was very kind and so amazing at his skill! He explained to me his process of how he performs massage therapy . It was the best massage that I've ever had ! He books up quickly so be sure to book as soon as possible . I had to wait about a month to get in and see him this first time and my next booking is a month out because he was full. Very disappointed in Oceana Spa. I have taken my daughter to oceana spa since she was barely 5 years old. She was one of the first kiddos to go there and she may even still be on their Facebook page from 13 years ago. I purchased a massage as a gift for her for Easter. We attempted to cancel the appointment the day before early on but could not get in touch with anyone. We then sent an email since we could not reach staff. My daughter now has a flexible schedule and attempted to schedule but Oceana Spa took 1/2 the credit saying we canceled same day. She was able to find the email canceling the appointment but could not confirm other details since the massage therapist no long works there. Despite this, the spa canceled out 50% of my daughter's gift as a penalty. We will not be using the remaining 50% and will not return here read more

I came here when they first opened. The facial itself was nice, and the waiting room area was relaxing too. However, the girls at the front desk were really snobby and and not very helpful at all. Definitely not the first and last thing I want to deal with when going to the spa. Also, the prices that they charged me were different than the prices online. I barely even brought enough money to cover it because the prices were so different. I'm not talking like a 5 dollar difference, I'm talking like 20+ dollars, and I was paying for two facials. I have been getting mico current done once a week for the last 4 weeks. I bought a package of 6. I have enjoyed every bit of it and look forward to my last 2 visits. The wrinkles around my eyes and lips have really smoothed out a little more with each treatment. I am totally sold on this treatment and will continue once a month getting this done!
