I haven't tried their yoga classes yet, but I was going there almost every week for their arts/craft workshop (ie. candle workshop). Seriously, it's so super therapeutic for me. Aside from yoga and arts/craft workshop, they have tarot readings in a separate room across from the restroom. The owner is super cool and nice. Her and all of her staffs are always helpful with good energy, too. One of the reasons why I gravitate towards that place, lol. Each time I'm there, I ended up purchasing something--plants, crystals, rings, essential oils, etc. They have super cute things and I cannot resist, but to buy something :) I spend a good amount of time just browsing and it's the most joyful feeling. Lastly, there is ample parking outside at the lot; and a restroom inside the store.

There were vendors there that you visited to get a sticker for a little prize at the end. I had a great experience with my tarot reader, Wendy the Witch. I'm grateful I had gone, because after karate today, I was feeling super unmotivated, but I felt a pull to go. It was just what I needed. The other vendors had a great selection of goodies, and I wanted to get a little of everything... definitely want to purchase their products at a later time. I had fun checking out the fun little gifts found around the shop too. Sheena is a great owner: I love her energy, and I'm grateful to have met her at a previous Yelp event. I can't wait to try out more workshops there! Thanks for an awesome event!

I have been wanting to get into something like Yoga for a while now. Well recently I had an injury…read moreat work and Yoga was suggested to me for something that may help. I had seen the advertisement Mindpose had where you could get 14 days for $14 and I decided to give it a go. I signed up and went later that night. My first class was absolutely amazing. The instructor was so welcoming and so kind to me. The second class was not as great--I have found that every instructor sometimes has different teaching styles and also different ideas of what the class consists of. With this specific class, we were doing like a two minute plank in a 98 degree room. Whew. I tried another class that was a lot more about meditation. It was interesting but probably my least favorite just because of the several minutes that she had us holding our necks in a position I couldn't do too well because of the injury I still currently have. I understand that we are not being forced to do every move but there is a lot of pressure to follow along and even more when there is not an alternative option being given. We are supposed to be guided and I don't really want to lay there and look like a lazy bones just because I am restricted from doing a certain pose. I loved a bit more of the meditation and I like when they seem to "guide our spirit" by talking to us about life stuff too (like dedicating the class to someone in mind, releasing negative energy). I really love the music and the atmosphere that Mindpose provides for people. The instructors have all been kind and I love the towel we get after. I wish there was a bit more consistency, even the temperature varies 10 degrees and seems a bit unpredictable. The location is very convenient and I enjoy the dim lighting a lot.

As fate would have it Jeff's wife has a yoga studio Amd he invited me to come by. When I got home I checked the Yelp reviews Amd their website. I didn't see "Yin" on the schedule so opted not to sign up. I played golf with Jeff a couple weeks later Amd he explained they call Yin, Surrender. Well I signed up for the $30, unlimited classes for 2 weeks... for new yoga people only. The website is very intuitive and all the options and special deals for first responders and military are detailed. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and felt welcome. In Vegas I got a sense of clicks and a cool kids vibe. Here it's family Amd warmth. The Surrender class was led by Taylor. She was very good. She took us into a spiritual journey, accompanied by traditional yoga appropriate music that help spirit out life's noises Amd allowed me to clear my mind Amd be present and in the moment. The room started out warm but now hot and then all of the sudden you realize you're sweating. Please note that Surrender is not about pushing or exerting yourself it's more about meditating and stretching. This is my first day in 4 years that I've taken a yoga class and I feel great! I have been practicing at Lifted Life since August. I am a very novice yoga practitioner and every…read moreinstructor has been very patient with me. I'd consider myself quite inflexible from my hips down, but I've never felt "less than" or singled out. On the contrary, Julz, Traci, Deb, and Sue have all been very encouraging of using blocks, bolsters, straps, and modifications so I can still practice the poses they are signaling. I've found yoga is just as much about a journey of self/mindfulness as it is a journey of the physical body. Lifted Life emphasizes this whole approach to yoga - the mental, the spiritual, and the physical. They are good about sharing yoga traditions and teachings without being super "hippie" - I'm trying to say I've never felt uncomfortable, feeling forced to feel or believe one thing or another. This is a very peaceful studio. There are some instructors that are more "power yoga" type than others, but I've found the class descriptions to be very helpful and accurate in finding the class that suits my mood or physical needs/limitations. There are yoga mats to rent. They have lots of bolsters, blocks, and straps so you don't have to bring your own. They also have yoga related books, oils, mats, and other things to purchase in the lobby area. I've found all the instructors take past or current injuries or health conditions seriously. You can often hear the instructor suggesting a modification or sharing a reminder to an individual class member based on a fused spine, a hip injury, scoliosis, growing flexibility, and, of course, pregnancy. They offer only a limited number of evening classes at this time, but that's because evening classes were poorly attended. (I know this firsthand because I love the evening classes.) Julz's evening Light I class is the perfect way to unwind for the day and get ready for bed. Traci's Light I classes are perfect for those of us looking to grow our flexibility and/or strength or who need to practice functional movements. (She has us do chair yoga sometimes which, I'm surprised to find, I actually like every now and again.) Sue's evening Mixed is a great flow class. I've worked with Traci the most and she is a great instructor for any level yoga. Julz is also fantastic. Both give great verbal cues and have extensive knowledge on how to practice yoga for your body in that moment. I'm really grateful I've found Lifted Life. It's been an integral part of my physical and mental health journey this year. I highly recommend it. And if you want a super low-risk way to check them out, sign up for their first month unlimited pass. It's very afforable and you get to check out #alltheclasses.

They offer discounted packages that provide great savings to already reasonably priced services. Heather's acupunture skills and diagnosis are top notch. And with in-house massage, yoga, Chinese herbs and Ayurvedic products, it makes this place not only a one-stop shop, but holistic in their approach to health. Fortunately that meant I was prescribed weekly massage as part of my recovery for a knee injury and sciatica. I worked with Caitlin and she is amazing. Super targeted and effective, I feel like a lot of underlying tightness was addressed and my body's circulation and mobility are now much improved. Honestly the best masseuse I've ever worked with. Before I returned to California, Heather made sure I had a good supply of Chinese herbs so my body could continue to resolve its issues. That really helped since I live in a rural area. Altogether, I am really happy with the quality and price of services here. Everyone was super friendly for the 5 weeks I sought treatment here and I will definitely come back if I find myself in SLC again. I wish you guys the best. Thank you for taking good care of me and helping me move forward with my health.
