I booked a haircut through the stylist Emily Garzon's Instagram link two weeks ago and had to put my card on file to secure the appointment. I tried confirming the appointment by messaging her on Instagram and received an email saying my appointment was being reviewed--but never got any confirmation. I also called and texted the number listed and got no response. Because my card was on file, I didn't want to risk a no-show fee, so I rearranged my day and drove out to the salon--only to find the lights off and the door locked. My appointment was supposed to be yesterday, yet today she's active and posting on Instagram. This experience was really disappointing. I was genuinely looking forward to getting my haircut because I had heard good things. But it's extremely unprofessional to ignore clients, especially when your bio says you're accepting new ones and your booking link is live. People's time matters, especially when payment info is involved. read more

I promise I'm not a Karen. I was actually debating saying anything at all, but I think it's fair for other people to be aware of the way this business is ran. The talent and skills Emily has is something that I can't deny, however clients time is not respected. After scheduling myself weeks ahead, MULTIPLE appointments would be rescheduled the day of with comments like "Sorry girl I'm out of town and won't make it back in" even after I set my whole day aside to make it to the trim. Most recently I've been trying to get in since March 2023 & I finally got a date for July 6th. I drove 1 hour and showed up just for her to say "perla didnt add you to the schedule " I've been going to her before Perla was in charge of scheduling and the irresponsibility has always been an issue. I was never late to my appointments (when I finally got it) I always tipped, and I always paid full haircut price for a simple trim, yet my time was never respected. When a hairstylist requires people to respect their time and even requires a deposit, they lose the credibility and respect when they don't value their clients time. Lost a loyal customer & I'm sure many more have experienced this. If you want to wait weeks just for your appointment to be cancelled, go here! read more

Emily is great hairdresser and talented. Unfortunately on my second attempt to book her I had a very bad experience from constantly canceling scheduled appointments I finally tried a last time and she was a no show. I texted her I was there and she didn't reply until the next day. As valuable as her time is so is mine as a client. Emily was very unprofessional. On top of that I simply asked for my deposit back and got it back a month later after having to reach out to her more than once asking for my deposit. read more

I used to go to Emily for many many years. I was a loyal client of hers and always tipped her. Skill wise she's great at her job. I have always loved the way my hair turned out. However, as a business owner, I do not recommend. Almost always when I scheduled, I was either cancelled or rescheduled with no explanation. And I always booked out in advance so it was very frustrating. I tried to give multiple chances but in the end the last time I was cancelled and I wasn't accommodated at all, I ended up finding a new hair stylist all together. Hair stylists expect us to respect their time but the same goes for clients and I wished my time was also respected. I used to think it was just me but after talking to other clients of hers it was a common occurrence among a lot of her other clients read more

The owner/hairstylist, Emily is very unprofessional she will have you come from other cities just to not be there on time. She will reschedule you last minute and once you're outside waiting , she'll tell you she's gonna be like an hour late once you're outside in the parking lot. And still has attitude telling you don't have to show up as if you havent been waiting outside . As a customer, I think she's inconsistent and unprofessional. read more

I couldn't make up my mind about the color I wanted to go with in my hair and she went through all my reference pictures. She was so patient and listened to everything I was trying explain. She was very knowledgeable with her colors and her products and it showed with how she did my hair! I'll definitely be coming back here to have her work on my hair! I made an appointment a month in advance, really looking forward to getting a haircut by Emily and looking nice for my baby shower. First, my time was rescheduled which I didn't mind. And then the day of my appointment, an hour before, Emily texts me saying she needed to reschedule without an explanation. I understand things happen but she never got back to me about when we'd reschedule. After two days I texted her asking when she'd be able to see me. She assured me we could work something out but again never gave me dates or times. I messaged her one last time and still nothing. I usually only cut my hair once a year because I could never find a salon that knows what a 2-3 inch trim actually is. This year I have gone to Emily twice and she goes above and beyond your expectations and does your hair exactly how you want it. I booked an appointment in July right before the closure. My appointment was scheduled for September. When salons opened back up after the second closure I text Emily to inquire if my appointment would be pushed back. Emily stated I would be able to keep my appointment. I received a notification that my appointment time had been rescheduled but the day remained the same. I took time off of work to attend my appointment only to get a text two hours prior to my appointment that she had a family emergency and needed to cancel my appointment. I empathized and asked about rescheduling to which she did not reply. I text her several times to ask about rescheduling. She replied 'yes girl' but never provided me with a date or time. It has now been three days and I have yet to hear back from her. I feel her work is beautiful but the lack of communication is unprofessional. I understand that situations will arise that are out of a person's control. However, as a profesional you should follow up with clients and respect their time just as you request they respect yours. read more
