I was nervous coming into TFS the first time, but that was quickly washed away as soon as I walked in - Stormie greeted me and made sure I knew where everything was and then proceeded to give a run down of the Mega before class. The attentiveness from all the instructors during each class is top notch. Making sure the each of us not only understands the moves, has the correct form, but also that our mental game is just as strong. If they see us struggling they are the first to encourage us to keep going and that might be the hardest part of the entire 45 minute class. I cannot say enough kind things about each of the instructors. They were attentive and educated, and worked with me throughout my journey. The instructors were able to provide modifications as needed, and helped me adapt my workouts as I worked to regain my strength and mobility. You can tell they truly care about each of the members that walk into their studio and are committed to providing everyone an individualized experience, even in a group class setting. I am relocating out of town, and will miss this studio terribly. I cannot recommend CP-Amity enough to anyone looking to have a great workout alongside a sense of community and belonging.

Traditional gym settings just don't work for me anymore and I had a hard time going consistently. Lynsie made me feel so welcome. I did not feel pressured to sign up for anything. I decided to try the minimum monthly membership and became absolutely hooked. The atmosphere at Pure Barre is a very welcoming and also feels like an individualized space which is another reason why I gravitate towards it. This is a space where you can come alone but feel a group energy all around without any pressure to show up in any way that is not what you're comfortable with. I love how there's women of all ages, builds, and skill levels at each class. If you're thinking of trying the intro class, this is your sign!

I will say it is a bit pricey, but they have financial assistance for people who are needing it, and when I lost my job we paid based on how much we made so cost doesn't have to be a factor preventing you from going to an inclusive community center for all ages. The YMCA in West Boise offers a great experience for any newcomer to the gym or long time veterans who are just coming in to work out.

We went on a Saturday and the big pool had a swim meet so it was closed which was fine, but it wasn't posted anywhere. So we went in the other two pools. The problem is, we called ahead to get information since we'd never been before & at the front desk reiterated we had never been so wanted to make sure we were good to go info. However, the staff at the front desk was unpleasant and offered almost no information. You must have your ID with you which we had to go 20 minutes back for and was not told that on the phone. We brought 4 kids, two that can swim and two that can't yet so we borrowed life jackets and they swam for almost an hour in the non kiddie pool only to be told you can't be in here even with a life jacket so they kicked them out into the kiddie pool. Then they kept asking for necklaces which we didn't know what that meant and finally a lifeguard said they tell us if they can swim or not. This was an hour in style that point and they'd been swimming without them. The signage to the pools is atrocious and unclear. The bathrooms were dirty as were multiple spots in the pool. I even asked about memberships for the future, & the front desk person said "oh idk you'll need to call the manager" and walked away. I'm glad it was only $4 because it was a very stressful experience and next time we want to take the kids swimming, I think we will find somewhere else.
