The people were nice and service was quick. But that's where the good ended. I went for an eyebrow wax and they did not do a good job. One eyebrow was waxed a considerable amount more than the other. Good thing I have thick eyebrows and was able to sort of cover up the lack of eyebrow on the one over waxed eye. Also usually after a wax, they are supposed to trim the eyebrow and tweeze any leftover brows. They did not do this. I felt like they tried to do the job as quickly as possible and didn't take their time. At least that's what I hope it was, because if this is a regular way of waxing, then I would not recommend going to this place. read more

I have been going to Studio Salon for quite a few years now. I look forward to going everytime. The interior is beautiful, creates a very calming atmosphere. The stations are spread apart so that your space feels very personal to you. Everyone that works there is not only professional, but so patient and kind. I for one feel like family when I'm in there! Ever since I've started going there, I always get so many compliments on my hair from women and men! I couldn't imagine going to any other hair salon!! read more

I visited studio salon and spa for a mani, pedi, massage and eyebrow wax. I thought that the mani and pedi were great at the time, with the massage being pretty terrible. But now it's 10 days later and I am suffering from a painful infection on my big toe. I know it is from my pedicure - my toe started hurting a couple days after. I thought it was odd to have that happen right after a pedi, but I am used to frequent ingrown toenails so I brushed it off. Except today it is absolutely throbbing and red, and not, I discovered, an ingrown toenail. The side of my toenail is completely swollen, red, and clearly infected. Now I get to pay to go to the doctor... Thanks studio salon. I will never be coming there again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know how unsanitary your pedicures (and god knows what else) are. read more

My sister got married in Geneva this weekend and I chose studio salon and spa for our hair, makeup, manicures, and pedicures. They also have a massage therapist there although we did not use her. Everyone there was phenomenally nice. They were knowledgeable and professional. They did our hair and makeup perfectly, asking what we liked, didn't like, how we normally did makeup, etc. What I really appreciated was my hair stylist asking if I was self-conscious about anything before beginning. As it happens, I think I look like dumbo with my hair pulled back super straight. She understood perfectly and made sure that my hair had some volume on each side to minimize my ears. (PS this is an AVEDA salon, so they have really been put through the test!) Their team did 9 ladies hair (from 1/2 inch long to 18 inches long, SUPER thick hair, and very thin hair) and 9 ladies makeup (from ages 21-83) and had us out EARLY if you can believe it! I think it took 2-2 1/2 hours total. (they had at least 5-6 people working on us all morning) The only reason I'm deducting a star is because they only had 2 pedicure stations (the day before we had 10 ladies looking for mani-pedis). We had been told that there would be 3 pedicures at a time, while in reality there was only one person able to do the pedicures for the first hour and a half (total: only 2 completed pedicures). After that a second person became available (the third did manicures straight through) and the speed picked up considerably (we were all out of there in 4 hours). All in all I would recommend it to anyone having a wedding in the area with the understanding that Geneva is very small and it would be impossible to have more than 2 people in your party to have a pedicure all at once. (as a matter of interested, I only know how much the pedicures were: $35 each plus tip - tell them the amount you want to tip on the credit card BEFORE she rings it up or you'll need cash!) read more

Let me start by saying this was one of the worst experiences my wife has ever had at a salon. I had surprised her with a gift certificate for our 8th anniversary so she could get dolled up for our dinner later that evening. Unfortunately, she did not find anything about this place relaxing or spa-like. The quality of the styling was about average, but what set this place apart is the service and the environment which turned out to be downright appalling. If you want to hear owners of a salon talk bad about their employees and stomp around like children, all while listening to a level of inappropriate banter fit for your high school lunch table, this is the place to go. My wife was planning on having a relaxing spa day and to receive quality service, what she walked away with was a headache from a classless experience. I do not recommend. read more

I made an appointment here three weeks in advance, took time off of work, confirmed and reconfirmed the appointment and drove an hour to get there. My gps sent me down the wrong street and then i ran three blocks in the snow to get there. I was 8 minutes late and they refused to see me because the stylist who was supposed to cut my hair was apparently double booked during my appointment and was washing someone else's hair and if she started me off her double booking would have been out of sync. Who purposely double books themselves? Also, if you come here expecting an 'aveda experience' you will not be getting one. They don't give any of the free perks that other aveda spas do (tea, lemon water, scalp massage etc). Questionable management, horrible customer service. I'll never go back. read more

I decided to have my makeup done for my fall family portraits today. Kadi was very professional and did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend Kadi to anyone that wants to get their makeup done for wedding, special occasion, or just because. I had my hair styled for our son's wedding here and was very pleased. I don't usually have my hair curled, but wanted something different for the wedding. The stylist made a few recommendations and it was just perfect. I was also happy that the appointment was right on time, and appreciated the reminder call the day before. read more
