Went in for a pixie trim and came out looking like i had the pixie version of a bowl cut! Worst haircut ever and by their "master stylist"! I should have paid attention to the red flag... they make you sign a form that says no refunds. It's as if they already know you will leave disappointed. When I came home, looked in the mirror and let the trauma sink in I called the salon sobbing. I had to travel for work the next day and no way was I going to look like this. Their solution?? Have the same hairstylist fix it. I said, "You mean the one that did this to my hair?!" I was asking her to "fix" it as she was cutting it. It just kept getting worse and I finally had to say it was fine. Why would I want to use that same person. I wasn't asking for my money back but for someone to at least fix it. I was told their manager would be in touch. No one ever called me back. In addition to spending over $70 for the cut, I then had to pay and additional $25 at Great Clips to at least get things a little blended in. There wasn't much they could do (I was left with hardly any hair to work with), but the stylist was at least able to minimize the bowl look. Since I am fairly new here, I had a hard time looking for someone to wax me, but am so thankful to have known Maura. She did my full leg and Brazilian wax and really took her time. She left no hair behind. In the past, when a waxing specialist would wax me, she would say something like "time is up! I can't wait to leave as I can't wait to see my kiddo", but Maura isn't like that and she's also a parent. She made sure that I get my money's worth. This place is also clean. I got my bangs done here as well for only $10 and the result was beyond impressive. Just the way I like it.Highly recommend this place! read more

I saw EMMA SEAY at Studio Style and Spa. I was very disappointed with my haircut! When I arrived home from my haircut, my husband took a picture for me to see. My hair was chopped as if a novice had cut it. I returned to the hair studio the next business day, and Emma was unhappy to see me. Emma told me I had to pay full price for any touch-ups. Needless to say, I no longer see Emma Seay, as I have found an amazing hairdresser that knows how to cut short hair. read more

Ellen's dermaplaning was not professional. I could tell she was inexperienced with dermaplaning because she missed a ton of areas and scratched up my face. I asked her to be gentler and she gave me attitude and continued to be rough. During the treatment I already wanted a different esthetician. The only reason why I did not switch was because all other staff were booked and I can see why. The place was nice but the service was not worth 70$. Her "deep cleansing facial" did not make me feel like my face was cleaned. Her "extractions" was by hand and she only worked on 3 spots and said she was done. The massage that comes along with the facial almost made me laugh out loud because how terrible it was! It almost tickled how she was "massaging" me. Her massage had ZERO pressure almost negative pressure. All she did was lightly run her fingertips as slow as a snail and called it a massage. I was SO DISAPPOINTED! I only gave her tip because she did 2 services for me but they were both terrible. Wasted 200$ here for nothing. read more

I received a gel spa pedicure and an express gel mani on different days with Amanda. What I loved is that her level of service and attention to detail was spot on each time and absolutely perfect! There is a wide selection of OPI colors from which to choose and the salon and the nail service room is very clean. I was very happy with my services and when visiting the Lynchburg area would definitely try to get in here for mani/pedi services. read more

As a hair stylist I know what to look out for when other stylist are doing wrong. I asked for a color correction to fix this gold band in my hair. When I saw Brittany slathering on bleach everywhere I asked her to rinse me out. The salon still made me pay for the service even though it was her mistake. Will not be going back. read more

I went to the studio and spa on Thomas Jefferson in Forest Virginia. To have my hair trimmed, the young girl that chopped on my hair did not trim the ends. She chopped it up on one side. It was not even in the front it was not even in the back. There was one big chop place on the right side of my head that was close to the scalp. It was a mess she blew it dry, so I couldn't see it well enough until I got home. I called the salon, and they refused to give my money back, and they refused to let me come in and let another stylist try to fix it. they wanted me to come in and let the same girl try to fix it. She had done enough damage I would never go there again. The receptionist was very rude and just kept repeating that their policy said the same person who chopped it would have to fix my hair. Why would I let Karsen chop it up more. If she knew what she was doing, it wouldn't be chopped in the first place. They don't care what people they hire they sure are not experienced in cutting hair. I will never go there again. Their experience for cutting hair really sucks. read more

I've had a hard time finding a hair salon with stylists who listened to what I wanted and followed through. Most ended to cutting my hair too short or giving me a style that made me look much older. Samantha at Studio Style & Spa listened to what I wanted and successfully tamed my crazy, postpartum hair. She gave me a style that wasn't too short, but is still easy to manage and looks great! She did promote several products, but didn't try to up-sell me with additional services. The pricing was also reasonable. Overall, I'm very happy with the salon services, staff, and stylists. read more

After having an appointment from another hair salon cancel 15 minutes before my appointment I was beside myself. Not knowing the area and my son's wedding only 3 hours away, my husband got on the phone and called Studio Style & Spa. After explaining what happened they told me to come in and they would fit me in. I can not express how happy I was and how Awesome everyone there was and also so understanding. I didn't have to wait that long at all as they took me as soon as they could. I was so happy with them!!! All I could do is give the ladies there a big hug for all they did to make me look good for the wedding. I am very disappointed, I got a gel manicure this morning at 12 and my manicure is chipping and they said it would last for 2 weeks or more. I had really high hopes since my grandmother and mother got their hair done there and the two stylists did a great job but my nail isn't the same story.
