This place does not even have a doctor on staff. So they are just a team of hygienists offering cleanings & minor fill repairs. They couldn't fix a broken tooth. They can't offer root canals. Yet they are still scheduling new patients. And nobody told any of this until 48 hours before when I was already considering canceling my appointment. I was so disappointed with my experience at this office, as they came highly recommended by my partner :( now we have to find a new dentist. & He will definitely no longer be referring people here. My experience with Dr Zyvoloski was that he seemed impatient, bothered, reckless, careless and dismissive. We only get one set of adult teeth and they should be handled with care and patience, ESPECIALLY WHEN DOING COSMETIC WORK ON THE FRONT TEETH. I went in to get a filling for a small chip on the inner corner of my front tooth. He numbed the tooth(which I didn't understand WHY as the chip was small and not deep), 'polished the tooth'(filed it down) and filled the small chip, then he went ahead and 'polished'(filed down) the WHOLE edge of my tooth leaving the tooth shorter than the other front tooth! I can also see that the chip was filed(polished) to be made deeper and wider than it originally was!!! And I do recall when Dr Zyvoloski was "polishing" the chip, to get the tooth ready to fill, he was "polishing" the tooth for what felt like a long time and I started to feel worried he was making the chip deeper and bigger. After, he also "polished" the tooth for a long time, after he was already done filling and polishing the tooth, after I told him I felt a little edge on the back of the tooth. He also filed too much down to the point it looks like he took some of the enamel off on the surface of the tooth too, as there is now a crack in the tooth that I can literally feel with my fingernail (the crack was already there, inside the tooth, but never was I able to feel it with my fingernail). I asked him about the crack, and he said, "oh you want me to polish it more?". He sounded annoyed and just flat out bothered and careless. I immediately said no as this meant he was going to file my tooth down more! He also left the tooth more square(my front teeth are naturally big and a little more round than square). I noticed this after the procedure was done and had left the room. I asked the assistant if Dr Zyvoloski could polish the other tooth a bit to make them look the same. The assistant came back and told me that Dr Zyvoloski said that I was too fixated on it, to live with it, that it was easy to take off but not to add back on, and if I decided to go back for a dental night guard(as if he was trying to bait me to go in for another procedure) and if I still wanted the other tooth polished he could do it then. SO, I wondered, "if it's easy to take off but not put back on, WHY did he just file my whole tooth down and make my tooth shorter?" Now, I have a shorter square-looking front tooth (the tooth he filled and 'polished') that is now cracked and sensitive, and my normal longer round front tooth! I can also see that he made the chip DEEPER AND WIDER! And he literally filed my whole tooth all the way down to where it was chipped!! If I wanted to file my tooth down and make it even with the chip I would've done this myself at home instead of going and spending so much money to get my tooth fixed!! I went in to get my tooth filled to help restore my smile, make me feel better about myself and more confident about my smile, not to have my whole tooth filed down, made shorter and cracked and sensitive, not to leave feeling sad, upset, and my self-esteem down! I wasn't expecting this at all as I did much research for the best holistic dentist that did cosmetic dental work and had read such good reviews about Dr Zyvoloski and the dental office and really thought he would restore my tooth and smile by filling the small chip, a cosmetic dentist is supposed to fix your teeth and make you feel better about yourself not leave you feeling worse. He supposedly is supposed to be a top cosmetic dentist, NOT in my experience. It's honestly very upsetting, saddening and confusing WHY he would do this. Was he in a hurry and bothered to get to the next client? Is this just what he does? We only get one set of adult teeth for the rest of our life and should be handled carefully, patiently and thoughtfully when doing work on them, especially cosmetic work on the front teeth. read more

Dr Nicholson left to open her own office, which is a great move for her. I am glad she moved because I met with Dr Z Faraj and I have very little good to say about the guy. He's arrogant and is a double talker. I had work done on my veneers and over time three had fallen out. He charged me to glue one of them back in and then when another one popped off only a couple of months after it was cemented on he sat next to me and rambled on and on with stupid excuses that any intelligent person could see through. I told him all I need for him to do is to make it right and not charge me to correct the mistakes for which he is responsible. I also made it clear that my time is worth money and I have already lost hours sitting at the dentist to correct a problem that his office caused. He agreed. Then, by the end of my appointment he told me there would be a $178 "re=cement fee." I felt like he was trying to cheat me, even though I had no intention of paying him for his own mistake. I'll never go back to this guy again. I have no respect for him at all. He's an arrogant guy who doesn't think that there are people smarter than him. read more

I really love this place.. Everyone from the Ladies answering the phones, the Front desk ladies, the Nurses like ms. Deanna & ms. Keely and Doctors like Dr. FaraJ & Surgeons like Dr. Fow, are all very calm, very friendly, very professional, very skilled, which make the dreaded dentist visits much more comforting.. They've been able to see me & family members on emergency situations same day in most cases. i love how they use ozone therapy before and after procedures, i love that they dont push flouride at anytime, they dont use mercury fillings, they use biocompatible composite ones . im so thankful i was able to find a dentistry like this one. In our opinion, They've set the standard for dentists . I've already got other family coming here and they enjoyed their experience. I recommend this dentistry to everybody. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Studio Z. The bottom half of my front tooth was broken off. They got me in on a Friday within a few hours. Not only was Dr. Nicholson was kind and knowledgeable, but my tooth looks AMAZING. You cannot even tell that anything happened. She filled it beautifully and the color match is spot on. She directed me to what I need to do in the future to protect my tooth. I am so grateful for this entire experience. As a bonus the pricing was more than fair, I expected it to cost way more. I absolutely love Studio Z Dental. Not only are they highly professional, but they are the friendliest people! I was also thoroughly impressed by there state-of-the-art technology. I have been there numerous times. One time, I had a twinge of sensation and Doctor Jenna reached out immediately and stroked my arm and asked if I was okay. She is so genuine and caring. I also can't believe how I can listen to music and watch a movie, when I have a long appointment. Look no further , this is the place. I trust them 110% with my teeth and my family's teeth. My son and I both needed a mouthguard and we were both very impressed. I no longer have TMJ. I'm convinced it is because of Studio Z. From the receptionists, to the dental hygienist to both doctors - I have no complains but only words of praise. They walk you through everything they do in detail so you know what to expect. Their office is nice and updated and it helps that you get to watch a movie during your procedures to distract yourself. You can go fluoride free with them if you want as well and is nice to have that option. If your scared of having dental work done, go here. You'll feel at ease. They are more on the pricier side though. I don't think I need to take off a start for that though. Not being able to afford something doesn't have to do with how the practice does business. read more

Saw Dr Z after the original dentist Dr Zarlingo retired. He was horrible, under his care, my teeth moved with a night guard. Despite numerous visits to the office trying to explain. He never listened, and 3000.00 later braces fixed what he would not listen to. Even his staff made comments about how many times I came in for help with Dr Z not listening. read more

Truly as good as it gets. Everyone in this practice is dedicated to patient success and satisfaction. All patient paperwork is electronic (thank you!), the people who work the desk are friendly and knowledgeable, the hygienists are experienced and thorough and the doctors - both Dr. Z and Dr. Nicholson - are incredibly caring and talented. Specifically, Dr. Nicholson has gone out of her way to fix broken front teeth for both of my children, taking time on evenings and weekends to come to the office and then meticulously and artistically creating bonded tooth parts. She does beautiful work and truly cares about her patients. Studio Z doesn't take my insurance and I don't even care. I pay more because I get better care. Worth every penny. read more

I am over the top pleased with Dr. Z.! Prior to seeing him I had been with another dentist who was nice enough and seemed to be doing a good job; problem was that his care was not comprehensive nor proactive. Now I know the big difference because my former dentist kept patching up the many dental problems that I presented and never addressed the entire picture with a plan towards prevention. Enter Dr. Zyvoloski! He takes time to evaluate and explain his rationale for treatment. I have experienced how he keeps on top of current dental practices, like explaining why a newer material or method may be better for me. Then there is his awesome staff! I saw Dr. Zyvoloski about getting a night guard made for my dental implant; he said that he would be able to do that at what seemed very expensive to me. Impressions were taken and I was called to come in and try the guards. None of them fit - very loose and wobbly - and another impression was made with the result was the same problem. I was told I would get my money back and that wouldn't happen until I brought the guard back that didn't fit. I also asked about pain I was having in the area of the implant; x-rays were taken and I was given a diagnosis, which happened to be mostly questionable after I saw another dentist and needed surgery within two days - i.e. somewhat urgent. He seemed not to really care about what was happening and after I finally got my money back, I decided I would never return to that office. I agree that it seems only the money is truly important. The services at Studio Z are truly exceptional. I've been here for two years now and have moved my family over as well. What sets them apart is having the practice led by a dentist who is also a Naturopathic Doctor. After living with an MS diagnosis, I've been looking for years for someone who would safely remove my mercury amalgams. I was impressed and will be forever thankful that after Dr. Z heard my health history, he counseled me about potential heavy-metal toxicity, referred me to someone for that, and recommended that if I did have this, I deal with that prior to him removing my mercury amalgams. He was spot on! I returned 5 months later to him after detoxing, had amalgams removed, and my health has improved greatly since. I also appreciate his entire practice using ozone to minimize any bacteria during dental work. I just had my first crown installed last week and couldn't be happier! read more

Dr Z and staff and especially the assistant made me very comfortable with the work. I have severe anxiety with visiting the dentist. It was as painless as possible knowing that I had some pretty deep fillings to deal with. I had avoided the dentist for over 10 years with a hole in my tooth and I'm glad I finally decided to go to someone who understood my anxiety and took it slowly for me. They also understand my holistic lifestyle and my desire to replace mercury fillings, and not use fluoride. I still need to get a crown but unfortunately will need to do so elsewhere. The 1 star I took off was because of how pricey the dental work is and they are not in network for insurance. I have to find another dentist to continue the work as much as I would love to continue coming back. read more

Dr. Zyvoloski and Studio Z Dental as a whole, from their facility to their office staff, are truly one of kind. My experience was absolutely stellar. I'm not a fan of dentists - I've had a history of very bad teeth and each visit winds up costing me an arm and a leg due to multiple fillings that need to be scheduled. I avoid going like the plague. After one of my molars cracked in half, I decided, perhaps it was time to try another one out and remain diligent in my efforts. I am SOOO glad I found Dr. Z. I entered my first visit with much hesitation. Sitting in their very comfy chairs and explaining my more holistic approach in life, I had felt in very good hands. They listened to me and my concerns and we mapped out a route to take care of my dental issues. It wasn't until I had my follow up filling, that I knew I had found a gem. Dr. Z's bedside manner was outstanding. He treated everything with the utmost professionalism and I could tell that I was in the hands of the one of the most skilled dentists I had ever visited. He made sure to get all of the mercury out of my tooth and even took a picture to show me exactly what he was talking about. I have never been to someone that took so much time to show me on screen, leaving nothing out, about what had taken place in his office that day. Shout out to Studio Z Dental in Louisville! Let's say that I am a bit challenged when it's time for a cleaning and some xrays. My experience there was exceptionally professional and wonderful on all levels. From scheduling, to filling in my patient forms online (love that), to appt reminders, to being greeted by cheerful staff up front, and by the dental hygienist, then working with Dr Tom in a beautiful office...perfect. They let me ask a lot of questions, explained every xray and photo they took, made solid recommendations, and made me feel relaxed about all of it. I am actually looking forward to my next cleaning:) And, I am confident I found the proper dentist for my extra work that I need to have done. Give them a try if you are looking for a new dentist. You will walk in and be sold on a night guard the minute you walk in. I have had jaw surgery twice and relocated from across country. I transferred my extensive file and requested that it was reviewed before my first visit. I called twice to make sure the doc was aware of my extensive oral history. I sat down to have my teeth cleaned and within 2 minutes of the doc entering the room he tried to sell me on this HUGE night guard. I reminded him that I have had 2 jaw surgeries and that guard would ruin my jaw. He contributed to tell me how 'everyone' wears it at night and I needed it. I kindly reminded him that not 'everyone' has had their jaw reconstructed twice, I've had that exact appliance and it would ruin my current situation. He clearly never reviewed my file but was most interested in selling me an appliance. I choose not to allow my family or myself be part of this practice. BEWARE, not everyone needs a night guard! read more
