I have been a patient with Lafayette Dental Excellence for several years. Until a couple days ago, it was just for the standard cleaning and maintenance needs. On Monday (8/10/26) I needed to have two cavities filled which I have not needed in 20+ years. I was understandably anxious after some poor experiences at other practices. Dr Leo was a consummate professional and his "chairside" manner immediately put me at ease. Throughout the procedure he and his assistant Jane were comforting and checked in with me often to ensure I was calm and relaxed. They clearly focus on patient care in what can be a very nerve wracking environment. I will continue to recommend this practice to all my friends and family. THANK YOU, Dr Leo and team, for making what could have been a nightmare a quick and painless experience! read more

I can't say enough good things about this office! Every visit is such a great experience--super friendly staff, welcoming office, and I always feel so well taken care of. Dr. Leo is amazing, always making sure I'm comfortable and explaining everything clearly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic dentist! read more

Everyone is great!! Dr Leo and the team make you feel like family. They have excellent communication and are very fair on pricing for services. I recommend them to everyone! read more

Update: the dentist reached out to me and did apologize for some mistakes made. I appreciate him being willing to have a conversation with me and to clarify things going forward. read more

The treatment plan was the thing I paid the most attention to. I had quite a few questions about what could actually be done, and I liked having the options explained without feeling like I needed to make a decision on the spot. The focus on crowns and cosmetic work was especially relevant to what I was looking into. read more

Best dentist office ever! Mary, Dr. Leo and everyone there is amazing. They are extremely nice, patient, and knowledgeable.

Such a gem of a place! Every person in the office - from front desk, to check out, to dental hygienist, to the dentist - are top-notch. I feel like to do a great job of taking care of my oral health without pushing unnecessary procedures on me. Happy to have found Lafayette dental excellence! Highly recommend read more

Posting this here as well as Google: I have been searching for a great dentist (and dental office) since I returned to Boulder a few years ago, but none felt like exactly the right fit. Enter Lafayette Dental Excellence. Dr. Leo, Jane, Mary, and Barb are everything I'd hoped to find, but never thought I would. Dr. Leo excels in the traits I value most in a dentist: patience, attention to detail, and outstanding knowledge of the most up-to-date advances in dentistry - in addition to foundational knowledge from experience, of course. Oh and, of equal import, compassion for my terror of anything remotely related to dental issues. Dr. Leo's assistant, Jane, could not be more kind and efficient. Mary, the office manager, is incredibly knowledgeable as well, so kind (must be a prerequisite for the office), and just fun to talk to - even in the midst of a painful dental emergency. Finally, Barb, my very first introduction to the office when I called, is warm and engaging. She sold me on giving the office a try, and I am so glad I did. Highly recommend this team. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Leo for several years now, and I originally chose his practice because of the many positive reviews--and I'm so glad I did. I came to him with a long-standing issue related to a previous tooth implant that had been bothering me for over 10 years. I had spent all that time dealing with the frustration of food constantly getting trapped around the implant and having to "dig" it out daily. After a thorough consultation, Dr. Leo recommended a thoughtful course of action and a clear treatment plan to fix the issue. Over the course of just a few visits, he completely straightened things out, and I'm now very happy with the results. I truly appreciate his professionalism, care, and the time he took to make sure everything was done right. Highly recommend! read more

Dr. Leo does an amazing job of providing quality care with expertise. He only recommends work be done when its absolutely necessary for maintaining oral health. This level of honesty can be hard to find in a dentist. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend this practice to anyone looking for great dental car. read more

Friendly, thorough, and caring staff. Making my appointment was quick and easy. The attention to detail that was shown during my appointment was something I have never experienced with any dentist I've been to. They took their time, not only providing thorough treatment, but talking through a full treatment plan for me and explaining the why behind everything. I would recommend this office to anyone in the area. read more

I had a dental experience today that was a little less comfortable than, say, sitting in an airplane seat and just putting your feet up. 'Just a cleaning' is what I expected but... well, I hadn't been to a dental provider in 18 months and I needed some catch-up work. Reality was: It was way more attentive and intensive and productive than a typical cleaning is. For most people, that added attention is necessary and valuable, even if it brings a small bit of pain and discomfort. In managing the line between necessity and discomfort, I give hygienist Kim Beauprez and her colleagues the highest marks. Kim was so efficient and effective: even when pain was coming she knew it and sympathized with it, and is an enthusiastic and friendly presence and cheerful advocate for dental health. It's the sort of dental experience you can better appreciate in retrospect, but was a great merger of a medical and a human experience. I have had highly positive experiences with both dentists as well. My front-office experience has also been exceptional. I am so happy to have this practice in my town! read more

Dr. Leo and his team are phenomenal and do an amazing job every time! The office is very nice and clean.

Dr Leo and everyone at Lafayette Dental were thorough beyond measures. Dr Leo took the time to explain and even called my doctor to make sure they could do what was needed. Emily did a great job cleaning my teeth and the X-ray tech was very patient when X-rays would not fit my mouth, I was tense but he made it work Thank you to everyone read more

While the dental care is good, it is way too dangerous for me to go into this place now, because they do not insist that all hygienists be vaccinated. Do you want someone right in your face for 45 minutes if they haven't been vaccinated? read more

I've been going to this dentist's office for over 15 years and the practice has a relatively new doctor (Dr. Leo Polinkovsky). He and his team are EXCELLENT! So grateful for their exceptional service and so close to my house. read more

This is a wonderful, caring dental practice! We highly recommend it! Thanks! Be safe and well!

Dr. Leo and his staff are incredible! I have sensitive teeth and a lot of dental work. Another local dentist gave me inaccurate information and high quote$ for $ome procedure that wa$n't nece$$ary. I visited Lafayette Dental Excellence as kind of a 2nd opinion, and walked into an entirely different setting! Staff was genuinely friendly. My hygienist was excellent. No pain and she was thorough and efficient. We even chatted for a bit, which definitely eased my anxiety. Dr. Leo was great. He took the time necessary to listen to my concerns and check my teeth without rushing out. He explained his opinion and gave me his recommendations- which sounded much more reasonable based on the same information. I would highly recommend Lafayette Dental Excellence. I felt very comfortable here and not taken advantage of financially. It was a very pleasant experience, and I will definitely be going back. read more

Lafayette Dental Excellence with Dr. Leo and staff were very professional, nice, knowledgeable, and welcoming! I was looking for a new dentist and my research lead me here. The office came highly recommended. I am very happy with the experience!! Also the hours work great for my busy schedule. thank you! read more

I am an adult with an incredible fear of the dentist, with that being said, everyone at this office has been amazing to deal with. They make you feel so comfortable and Genevieve at the front is the best. I've been putting off getting my first ever cavity filled and she went above and beyond to put me at ease- even sent me a playlist to pump me up before the procedure. I can't recommend this place enough and that says a lot because I hate going here even though I secretly love them all :) read more

I recently moved to Lafayette and did not have a dentist here. But I do now! These people are so professional and so kind. Michelle, at the front desk, was able to get an appointment for a just a few days out. (I wasn't in pain, so it wasn't an emergency.) Dr. Leo did a beautiful job replacing the filling that fell out of my front tooth, leaving a chipped looking tooth...lovely. His assistant was super friendly and even fixed me a cup of hot tea to have on the way home. I can't say enough good things about these people. So happy to have found my new dentist! read more

This place is amazing. They have worked with us on every front. They have been more than accommodating. I recently had an extraction (tooth removal) of a molar. That's what ten years without the dentist gets me. Dr. Leo was amazing. He preformed (3) fillings the extraction/bone graft, and (4) sutures in one sitting. I didn't feel a thing. Not once was I uncomfortable or worried about the next steps. I had zero swelling or pain the next day. I was amazed. He even called later in the day to check in on me and my Daughter, who also had a filling done. They are not a pediatric office but they have been fantastic with our 7 year old. Her last filling was amazing. No issues with pain for her, she didn't even feel the shot which is amazing. We moved to Arvada a while back but we will be making the 35 min trip here with a smile. My family will not be going anywhere else, this is our Dentist for life. read more

Have had several visits to the practice and I continue to be impressed. From the front office staff to the hygienists to Dr. Leo as all encounters were professional and caring. By placing my name on the wait-list, I was able to get a routine appointment quickly. The receptionist Genevieve remembered my name, even though it had been 6 months since my last visit! It was my first experience with Barb (one of the hygienists) and she was gentle and thorough. Dr. Leo provided excellent input during the visit. I was very comfortable with the Covid protocols. I have already recommended the practice to friends. read more

Love coming here. As much as one can love going to the dentist that is. I even travel from Arvada to here for my families appointments. They are so gentle, friendly and efficient. I have a pretty big fear of dentists that I believe come from my childhood and some nightmare scenarios. I've been coming here for many years because I trust them so much. Office is clean and parking is right outside their door. Perfect, especially in snowy weather. read more

I just left Dr. Leo's office and would absolutely recommend him and his staff to anyone looking for a great dental office. I have very bad anxiety when it comes to any sort of dental work and Dr. Leo, along with his EDDA Sandra, completely changed my experience today. Dr. Leo is very knowledgeable and walked me through the whole process as well as answering all of my questions afterwards and along the way. Thank you Lafayette Dental Excellence! read more

I have had fillings replaced, crowns, and cleanings at Lafayette Dental Excellence. I began going there when Dr Friedman was the dentist. He has now retired and I have been seeing Dr. Leo. No one likes to go to the dentist, but my experience with this practice has been wonderful. I am very happy with the results and I also love the staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with (Cherrine, Barbara, Geneveive, and the office staff). Very much pain free, efficient and quality work. I highly highly highly recommend Dr Leo and his staff. My dentist for life! :) read more
