Dr Willoughby and his staff went out of their way to make his office visit an exceptional experience. My brother suffered a stroke over a year ago and has residual speech and mobility issues. He needed a tooth extraction. They adjusted their schedule so he could receive x-rays and extraction in one visit. Unfortunately, Dr Willoughby found another issue that will require care from another medical professional. He and his staff went out of there way to assisted with a referral, etc. Before we left, Dr Willoughby called the facility, where my brother currently residents, to give a timely verbal report and update, to expedite his care. The letter threatened to send the account to collections, yet provided no clear breakdown or explanation of these charges. This feels extremely unprofessional and misleading. If there were legitimate fees, they should have been communicated clearly at the time of service, not a year later with threats attached. I never received any prior notice about these supposed additional amounts. Very disappointing experience and poor billing transparency.

I needed to have a dental procedure (sedated) that I had been putting off forever and on a recommendation from a coworker, I decided to try WisNova. I've always been nervous/anxious about dental procedures (stems from childhood) but the surgeons and staff at WisNova made me feel confident about this procedure. I went for a consultation with Dr. Tiboris and I was immediately impressed with his expertise (3rd generation and board certified) and care. He has family in dentistry and the way he explained the procedure made him very trustworthy. His staff was super friendly and everyone made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. I felt nervous the day of my procedure but I felt that his staff prepared me well with directions. After my procedure they sent me (and the person you bring to drive you home) they send you back with a care kit with supplies you'll need for post-op. What I really liked was that Dr. Tiboris personally called me after surgery and told me to call him if I had any questions or issues with the surgery site. Insurance/billing questions are answered by Tina- who is so nice and helpful. I also really liked that they enforce strict cleaning standards- mandatory temperature-taking/oral rinses/social distancing/etc. I went for a post-op and have another one soon. While he is gentle, and kind, he is also funny and interesting. I drive 40 minutes to get there, passing by many dental offices along the way. It's worth the drive when you find someone that takes the time to make sure that you are comfortable, and that the treatment suits you appropriately. His staff is amazing, they get to know you, and engage with you to make sure everything is as it should be. He takes care of my husband as well, and tries to make sure that our appointments are on the same day so that we may come down to Kenosha together. I made an appointment at the KCHC Silver Lake location for a 'Transfer of Care' as I wanted to see…read morea dentist closer to home. I had been to KCHC at the 14th Avenue location prior and My Chart had me due for a regular cleaning along with a couple of other procedures. I am currently unemployed with no insurance, therefore, must pay out-of-pocket for my dental. After paying $119.99, the appointment started as expected with the technical assistant taking x-rays of my mouth. After which, Dr. Knopp came in, intoduced himself and then looked in my mouth. He poked his tool into the not-yet-healed site of a tooth that had been extracted one week prior and I flinched due to the tenderness of my gum. He blamed my flinching on the tooth next to the extraction site - he didn't poke that tooth but I didn't say anything because he was clearly becoming agitated for some reason. Maybe he was having a bad day? Then he asked why I made the appointment and I said it was for 'Transfer of Care.' I also wanted to schedule a regular cleaning and talk about partial denture options. I had been told by another dentist that it would be wise to get partials for my missing teeth sooner than later, before my other teeth begin to shift. I wanted the regular cleaning done beforehand to remove the stains so that a partial could be accurately matched. Dr. Knopp went on to explain that I had a bad case of periodontal disease and have serious bone loss. I wasn't at all suprised by the news as this wouldn't be the first time I've heard it - I've seen 3 other dentists this year, they all told me. From there, things went south because he appeared to become even more agitated, and with doom-and-gloom, explained how my teeth would fall out (as if it would happen tomorrow) and said he would only do a deep-type of cleaning. I explained that I couldn't afford it. I told him I was interested in just a regular cleaning at this time because that's what I could afford, he asked, "What is the point?" Before I could explain the obvious, he said, "There is no point in it." The way he said it confused me, I just looked at him. In my mind, I was questioning if he was referring to my teeth or having some sort of break down. I think Dr. Knopp expected me to be completely devastated by my situation but because I remained calm, he mistook my lack of interest in being sold a plethora of expensive treatments, as outright denial of my periodotal issues (because that's what he wrote in My Chart). Anyway, he went on to discuss only one partial denture option. When I asked if a different option was available and described the type of partials my mother has, he said, "I could have one like that made for $700 but you won't like it at all." I told him that my mother absolutely loves both of hers and while I understand it's not the Cadillac of partial dentures, it's what I can afford at this time. I'm missing two upper molars on the right side and one lower molar on the left. I need something to keep my teeth from shifting, something that would enable me to chew food, and something that would help me present myself better during job interviews - so that in the future, I can get dental insurance through my employer, which would make following a dental treatment plan for my periodontal disease much more affordable. The mere mention of my mother's partials made him even angrier and he kept saying over and over under his breath, "What would be the point - it's more trouble than it's worth." There wasn't a thing I could think to say as I was simply mind-blown. Never in my life have I ever been spoken to like that by a dentist. He then went on to say, "You can't pick and choose what you want done. If you want to pick and choose you'll have to see a private dentist." This was by far the worst dental experience of my life - nothing at all was accomplished. The appointment went from 'Transfer of Care' to 'End of Care' at this location for me. There's a little more to this but I'm not given the amount of characters I would need to elaborate. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a private dentist who's kind and not carrying a 2-ton chip on his shoulder. Dr. Knopp's poor behavior toward me was inexcusable and left me feeling like less of a person. I feel that I'm owed a genuine apology and a full refund.

They sold me a partial that they could never get to fit right. I went to a different dentist who found I needed two teeth pulled that the new partial hooked onto. So I now have a brand new partial that won't ever fit and need to buy another one. Aspen was so intent on selling things and not fixing what is needed.

I switched dentists due to my last dentist having a HORRIBLE…read more "bedside manner". It's always a risk when going to a new Dr. However, from entering the office, I felt comfortable and at ease. Dr. DiStefano's staff from the front to back were wonderful. I absolutely loved Dr. DiStefano! I was having tooth pain and she not only made me feel like she cared but that she was going to get my problem taken care of. The solution was a root canal in a tooth that wasn't even hurting. I found it hard to believe but it was true! She explained why that happens and when I got that tooth taken care of...my pain was gone! She is friendly, caring and KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING! My husband and (grown) daughter switched over to her as well and we are all very happy we did!
