I also needed the width of the gate widened because originally they made the opening too narrow, so they were able to widen the opening before the rest of the fence was installed. I appreciate them checking with me halfway through the project. A few weeks ago one of the posts was failing I put in a warranty claim. They came out quickly and replaced it. I am impressed they stood by their warranty. Amazing service and a great company to work with.

There was an incentive to sign a contract that day, which did state a deposit needed to be made. We expressed needing some time to think and didn't feel too pressured by the company to sign. Yes, they did reach out to us once in a while before we officially signed, (took us a bit to figure things out) but seemed like the normal type of sales check ins. In the end, we decided to move forward with Cool Cat and had a pretty decent experience with them. Yes, they're a bit more pricey than some others but we felt like overall the quality seemed better. The communication was a little spotty in the sense of being bounced around from project managers throughout the process. I don't believe the PM we were speaking with was there during fence installation. I'm thankful that they were pretty responsive with us when we had questions. In the end they did a great job and were happy with the fence. They worked quickly and efficiently and didn't leave a mess thankfully. They installed a turnbuckle for our gate which was a nice addition too. Gene was the main guy for the project and he did a great job!

He was very professional and worked with me to help us finish another project with this house. He and his crew came on a Wednesday and removed the old fence and set posts. Thursday & Friday they completed the fence and gates and it looks beautiful. He even hauled away the old fence for free. We love it. Privacy at last and an added aesthetic that will help make our yard an extension of our home. I plan on using him again for some sod and another front gate here soon. Could not recommend enough.

We had changed our mind about a gate after they put a post in, and they were so pleasant about it and just removed it and put the gate in a different place. I had a very bad experience with this company. There were many problems. They promised to finish…read morethe job in a week but it took them over two months. They left nails and wire all over the ground even though I begged them not to do this because it could seriously injure my horses. The worst part was being gouged for materials. After cashing a check from me for $15,699.84 marked "paid in full" they threatened to take out a lien on my home if I did not pay them $1275 for additional materials. When I asked to see a receipt for the materials they could never produce one for my job. When I asked why I was being charged $5.89 each for 125 bags of concrete that cost $3.50 at Home Depot they first claimed they were charging me what they paid their vendor, then claimed they had to overcharge me "or else we wouldn't be in business." I do not think they will be able to stay in business by treating their customers this way. Save yourself a lot of headache and expense - avoid Express Iron Works.

They came out to talk thru the project and discussed options but no hard sell (which I appreciate). They assign a project manager (Blake in my case) to coordinate and keep things on schedule. However, the heroes of the project were Michael + Jonathan who built our fence. The took out the prior fence and checked in with our 96 yr old neighbor that we share the fence with to make sure he approved. He did! The walked me thru the finished fence and even added a "puppy protector" mini fence to keep our dog contained. They were super respectful, kind and FAST. It looks great and with the great warranty, we couldn't be happier.
