The closet redo was so helpful - she helped me get rid of about half my clothes, yet at the end of it I felt like I had MORE clothes, because she pulled the pieces together in surprising combinations to create fabulous outfits. I feel confident and professional, which is exactly how I want to start the work day. Had the most fabulous time with Christina and Carrie! Christina (the business owner) helped me with the closet revamp. She was honest and give me great feedback and I definitely felt like a good spring cleaning (what a great relief!!!!). I liked her sense of style and she gave me good inspiration for combinations of things I could come up with based on what I already had. We also identified some gaps, which we then worked on with Carrie. I just had so much fun shopping with Carrie! (And I hate shopping). It felt like shopping with my best friend , and a friend who has a good sense of style. Hiring Christina to be my personal stylist was a game-changer. As a style-challenged mother of a toddler, I found myself wearing the same few items every week.. whatever was easy and washable. With those extra 15 pounds from motherhood, and a general lack of time to focus on style, I really lost my way. Enter Christina! Her closet-redo was seriously eye-opening. We went through every single piece in my needlessly over-stuffed closet (and found things I didn't even know that I had!) She gave me a very honest yet tactful evaluation of every piece. I wanted to upgrade the way i look at the workplace and had no idea where to start. All I had was old jeans and converses and really bright colored clothes I wore to college. Chris made me discover styles that I had no idea even existed, and picked for me clothes that I would have never thought of buying myself. She is very sincere and helpful. I was shocked to see that in the shopping trip we went to, she had picked something like 100 pieces of clothing for me to try on, so it was the fastest most efficient shopping trip of my life. Christina was fantastic to work with. From the moment I contacted her, she was 'on it'. We had a phone consultation to start and talked through my personal style and what I was looking for. We set up a 3 hour time to shop together to find pieces for an upcoming trip. She did research in advance by sending me photos in a shared digital photo album of clothing pieces she thought I would like. The album allowed me to let her know what I liked or did not think fit my style. The process allowed her to refine her understanding of what I was looking for without even meeting in-person. The result was fantastic. On our shopping day, Christina met me for our 3 hour shopping tour on Fillmore Street. She had pulled pieces ahead of time at each store thus making the experience incredibly efficient. I found fantastic pieces that I know I will wear again and again. I appreciated Christina's candor in telling me what worked on me and what did not. There was never any pressure to buy items. The stores she chose were great and a perfect fit for what I was looking for. I had a wardrobe consultation session with Carrie as well as a shopping trip. Both times with Carrie was amazing. She was very thorough and direct helping me organize my closet. She immediately understood my taste and put different looks together. Then we went on a shopping trip. She pulled more than 70 pieces for me and we picked the best ones together. I loved that we focused on finding timeless, signature pieces and I get a lot of compliments on those. I am a picky person when it comes down to fashion, there are certain brands I like and Carrie was an expert in them. After our trip, we continue to collaborate on my lookbook online. I would highly recommend Christina to anyone. My experience with her was invaluable and definitely worth the price. I am a mother of two young children and do not have time to browse looking for the perfect pair of jeans or sweater...nor do I keep up with all the latest fashions. She is very efficient and does not waste your time. She came to my house and did a 2 hour closet clean. In this time, I tried on every item in my closet and she advised me on what I should keep or give away. She told me what items would work well together and what items I should take to the tailor to improve. She paid attention to my style (a little on the hippie dippy side) and was able to use that knowledge on our shopping adventure. We then went shopping together for 3 hours. She had gone to all the stores before I got there and had picked out items that she thought I would like/need. It was amazing to show up and have 20 items ready to try on....in my size!! The best thing about Chris is that she is honest and very genuine. When I tried something on that worked she was excited and told me how great it was but if something wasn't right she immediately said so. She isn't pushy at all and listens to what you like and what feels comfortable and she somehow finds a way to balance that with pushing you a little to try new things. I came home with clothes that fit my style but are up to date. I used to look in my closet and feel stressed when I had to find something to wear for any occasion (other than going to the park) but now I feel like I have a lot of options. Wow, Carrie Hiller was such a gift to me (from me)! I was very reluctant to take the plunge and do this for myself - thinking it was sort of a luxury. HA! Was I ever wrong. After going through this with Carrie in particular, I realize that this was a total necessity and I really would have saved myself a ton of money had I done this a long time ago. It's an investment in yourself, especially if you're like me and going through life transition (and new sizes)... Carrie was so professional (and kind to me) she met with me first. She was so down to earth and I loved that it was just like meeting with a friend. She asked the right questions and really listened to my needs were. Then, she came right in to my closet and purged - but, surprisingly, she retained a lot of what I already had and told me how we could now use it - what we needed to purchase to add to it (the minimums). She was teaching me my new style as we were going through this process - it wasn't at all like I imagined, just tossing out my old clothes. I loved learning how to "recycle" my old faves for the revised version of me :-). Then, I met her for my shopping spree - which, normally, I hate doing. But, wow - she made it so fun! I was amazed at how she was able to see things that would look good on me, but that would also be in my taste, even when I couldn't see it... AND she chose all things on sale - a bargain shopper after my own heart!! Then, she put together amazing outfits in my virtual closet online so I can access anytime - so cool that I now can go out and not feel uncomfortable. What a gem this girl is. I feel so lucky to have found Carrie. I was in need of a new fall/winter wardrobe and help with the current chaotic state of my closet. I met Carrie for an initial consultation to identify what my needs were and so she could get to know my style. After that initial meeting, we set up a shopping trip. Carrie took considerable time pre-shopping before I got there and had everything ready to go for me to try on.
