I came tot his salon because I followed my hairstylist, Darian. I travel more than an hour to get here, because she's so worth it! The salon itself is cute and trendy. The prices are definitely fair, especially if you have a good stylist, like my girl. Parking can be a little tricky, but I luckily discovered a lot right across that you can park at for 2 hours. I love that there's an adorable Pomeranian that hangs out in the salon...he even has the cutest bed there where he lounges throughout the day. Aside from color, cut, dry, they also offer services for extensions. I have never had extensions put in before, but I think I'm actually going to try it for the first time ever here. Darian is the only stylist I've come across that can get my super dark hair to the perfect blonde. She takes her time, is precise, and she has a great personality, so the hours you spend there go by fast. If you're looking for a perfectionist that cares about her clients, definitely go to her! I did not want services, but to purchase hair care products with the gift cards. ****None of the accompanying literature with the gift card indicated that the card can only be used for salon services only and is not eligible for products.**** Salon management was insistent that the card held no value in using toward product purchases, and could only be used for services. I came here for my 21st birthday to get a blowout before I go out, there was an issue with my blowout and I get blowouts every week so automatically I knew my hair was still wet and bound to frizz. I asked the receptionist for another stylist to fix my hair, she fixed it and I was happy. I didn't cause a problem because the staff is SUPER nice and very welcoming and it was my 21st birthday so no problems needed. The receptionist called me months later and asked why I haven't been back and I simply told her I didn't like how I had to pay extra to be with a different stylist because my other stylist didn't know how to give a proper blowout. The receptionist called back spoke to the manager Lea and refunded me the difference I paid. Which was very very very nice and appropriate. I would definitely come back to this salon I loved the ambience and it's a cute place. Update years later because I'm just now seeing Lea D.s response. She lied completely about what I wanted and what exactly happened. To be frank, I was moving out of the state within that week. She had "tried" to get into contact with me but to her, that means that she got into contact with my fathers' wife who I do not speak to. I WAS NOT going from Blonde to PINK, that's not even the description nor pictures I had initially given my hairstylist. During my appointment she was working on an entirely different client not paying attention to how long she was bleaching my hair, the color wasn't even remotely correct. The bottom line, my appointment was rushed, because they knew I was moving out of state waited and played sneaky games to act as they contacted me when in reality they did not. Could only offer me lightening shampoo. I had to move to another state with fucked up hair. Even my new hairstylist said she had done an awful and rushed job. I will still stand by my review because even years later they still have done nothing to make this right, not even a refund. I used to think this business was wonderful before their management became like sneaky little high schoolers. I needed a last minute updo and makeup for a wedding in an unfamiliar area so had to just go off of Yelp reviews. I was worried Styling Company was going to be expensive as it's in Belmar and looked pretty fancy from the pictures. They were able to get me in same day and did not disappoint! The salon is beautiful and very well styled. Lauren did a fantastic job on my hair with little direction. It was exactly what I had in mind. Jen did my makeup and had me looking like a goddess! I'm in foreign waters when it comes to makeup and was very little help. Luckily Jen is an expert and I feel beautiful! Apparently I wasn't the only one as I got compliments all night on the hair and makeup. Between the very reasonable prices and the Yelp deal I absolutely got what I paid for. I only asked for hair cut and to not have brassy orange blonde hair and each time I've had brassy blonde hair. I have been coming to this place for about 4 years and have always had great service. Unfortunately I have had to change stylists several times because my normal stylist would move out of NJ. I was always sad when I had to change stylists because I would get attached to my stylist, but then I would try someone new and be shocked by how great the new stylist was. Like, there's seriously not a bad stylist here and I have had 3 stylists over the years! The place is always clean, with friendly support staff, and I now drive 45 minutes out of my way to come here just because I trust this place so much.
