About 5 years ago I moved to buying online but now that the comics themselves have scaled up there cost and these 5 cover issue nonsense is so common it's no longer a value to purchase online. I'll tell you that the two gentleman I spoke to on my two visits were incredibly kind and were able to answer my questions. I collect TMNT comics first so it's nice to actually see those comics in the store. I am getting back into XMen which is good so far and Absolute Batman is wild. I'm in my 40s and have been collecting comics since I was a kid. This is a modern comic shop done right. So I'll stop in twice a month.

They weren't pushy at all and very helpful. I ended up finding a really cool Alien toy that goes great with my collection. They also had a $1 area with a bunch of comics! We bought a few just for kicks. They also gave us free comics for making a purchase. I forget the minimum amount but it was nice. If you are ever looking to just browse and are a tad nerdy, drop by! I've had consoles for 36 years and I've been a more serious collector for about the last 7-8 years so I know what I'm looking for and I know approximate market value and the selections I made were in the correct range and I didn't see anything too terribly over-valued. I came in very interested to buy a complete set of figures. I'm talking 10 at least. All of them. Told the store keeper that I had every intention to purchase them . Found out the price. I didn't even attempt to negotiate. I just agreed to whatever the set price was that he them for them and I said "I'll be back in 15-30. Have to stop by the bank to get the cash" I wanted to pay In cash. We agreed . I come back no less than an hour later. Cash in hand ready to make the purchase. I notice the figures were gone. Thought he had placed them aside for me. Nope , he looked me in the eyes and said "someone came in while you were gone and bought them all up" Was he lying? Was he being for real? Did he just not want to sell them to Me? I don't know.. I was just at a loss for words. Despite agreeing on my intent to purchase them at whatever price they were. Despite making gentleman's agreement. He sold them under my nose. The store sold what I had pretty much had claimed already. I get needing to make money for your shop but this was without a doubt unprofessionalism at its finest. I left the store. Never making a single purchase from there again.

When selling ETBs, to get a vibe how they would treat me as i just moved too town and its my closest local shop. I was initially offered around 60% 65% of market value on 151 ect. ect. which was disappointing. During another transaction, I asked about a dollar card and took time to do my own research. The employee assisting me rolled his eyes and made the interaction feel uncomfortable and dismissive. Even commenting "oh your price matching now." I countered with "no im not that was just my research" was saying i gave in for no drama handed over 3$. He then doubles down with change for the card i don't know he felt shame or just system said differently which im sure it did. Customers should never feel disrespected for asking questions or verifying values. As an adult now, I chose not to make a scene, but if that same attitude had been directed toward a child, a young collector, or a female customer, I absolutely would have spoken up even acted accordingly. This is a Pokémon and sports card shop--a place that should encourage collectors of all ages and experience levels. A little patience, kindness, and respect go a long way. The products and prices are ok, but the customer service and overall attitude need improvement. After much consideration will not be returning even tho i was due for 5% and 10% discount ‍ & thats alright never give in too bad business or bad people & never support them.! Please due your diligence.
