My distance vision is now 20/20 and my astigmatism is corrected. He also installed stents to relieve eye pressure for my glaucoma. In pre-surgical visits he referred me to a retina specialist at Wills Eye whom I am now consulting on another eye condition. Dr. Pyfer provided me with clear answers to all of my questions and did an outstanding job in correcting my cataracts. There was one complication - excessive bleeding from one of the glaucoma stents - which he addressed the next day and which is now fully cleared. I would happily recommend him to anyone contemplating cataract surgery.

Total disaster - money grubbing hack. Did cataract surgery when it was not medically necessary…read more(boat payment due??). Sold me on expensive multifocal lenses - $1800 for each lens - not covered by insurance. Then screwed up the surgery. Had to have left eye redone - he inserted the lens incorrectly. This time a competent surgeon had to replace the lens with another $1800 lens. Told Pyfer he owed me a refund of $1800 for the lens he inserted improperly. No response. Told me I had eyelash mites, for which I needed an expensive medication - $1000 per month. Four other doctors told me I did not. Does he have stock in the company? Kickbacks? Look for him hawking his latest gimmick on late night TV or YouTube. A disgrace to the medical profession. Avoid at all costs.
