Thank you Suburban Floral Shoppe for coming through more than once now and delivering beautiful flowers to my mother in law. We've ordered from them in the past and they did a great job. Last year we went with a different florist to avoid some of their fees (as delivery/service costs had gone up). We definetely paid for what we got at the other shop. This year we are back to Suburban Floral Shoppe and yes, it's pricey, but they deliver-literally great flowers. In the past they made the mistake of delivering the birthday flowers too early. This year I especified the day they needed to be delivered in CAPS letters in the comments stating when I wanted them delivered. I said NO EARLIER. This seemed to have worked as they were delivered on her actual birthday. Being that we dont live in town, simple things like getting flowers delivered, can become big things. I originally rated this flower shop 4 stars because the arrangement of tea roses, tulips, and ferns was fresh for four days and very pretty BUT my friend, who sent the arrangement from out of state, told me that she was disappointed because she specified the arrangement to be all tulips. Yes, it was a nice arrangement, but I've been disappointed by florists before when what I order is not what is delivered. Especially frustrating when you are doing it from another area and are unfamiliar with shops in the area. read more

Total waste of time. I called 45 minutes before coming here and asked if they had any takeaway florals for a friend's birthday or if they could put something together. I walked into the shop, barely was acknowledged by a woman working on a bouquet, kept getting told to "wait a minute" while standing there. A woman then came through the doors and asked what I was looking for. I told her I wanted a bouquet for my friend's birthday. She asked "How much do you want to spend?" I say $25-$30. She points to a basket in the case and asks if I like those colors and I can take that one. Um, no...that is $125...I just said I didn't want to spend more than that. Then she gives me a song and a dance about how she needs to ring me up but that she could put something together and blah blah blah. Save your time. I wasted time even walking in here. read more

At one time, this florist was great. Now, just go elsewhere, you'll be happier. A year ago I wanted two table centerpieces delivered. Both times I opted for the premium of the three choices. One was awesome, the other wasn't even good for the lowest category. When I called to complain, the guy said he would remember and take care of me next year. Now, I wanted to order a birthday arrangement and they hung up on me three times without even saying hello and giving me a chance to talk. Next call went to voice mail. Naturally, I thought I'd be the golden boyfriend and have flowers sent to her office. Suburban Floral is near where she works, and I called a day ahead, so this was shaping up to be an easy win. That was until Kay and I had a phone conversation that night. You're going back to work tomorrow, right?" "Oh, I won't be going back to work until Monday. The doctor thinks I need a few more days." Panic! Panic! Panic! I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't just cancel the order, and I wasn't sure if Beaver Falls was too far away for them. I had to let the secret out in order to avert disaster. This meant...that Kay had to pick up the flowers at Suburban Floral herself. Kay eventually did just that and was pleased nonetheless. A multimedia message I got from her on my phone during my break confirmed the good tidings. He said he did not have the fairly common flowers I wanted in stock, then said there would be additional fees as if challenging me to actually place an order. Went to buy plants for the yard. A young lady helped us. She said we were her first big order. She tried really hard. Their hanging baskets were lovely. The green house had very nice plants. Not inexpensive. Not a huge selection - but the guy that referred us only buys flower arrangements from there for many years. read more

Even though they were nice on phone, had bad experience. Ordered flowers for someone out of state and not only did they not receive flowers on the day they were to be delivered but Surburban did not even know they weren't delivered I had to call them to ask what happened. Flowers were received the next day but instructions on flower delivery were not communicated. And to top it off flowers were sub-par. So after all my frustration the company did not even offer me a discount on my order, offer me a discount should I choose to use them again or anything. Was very disappointed and will not use again. read more
